LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
alsielou replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The highwayman's torso printing is gorgeous isn't it? I will get one, put a friendly face on him and make him a coachman in my winter village.- 1,421 replies

Many thanks CopMike for my prize A manatee which swam all the way to Australia and then camped out in my postbox for a few days!!! Very much appreciated!!

I love the wizard too, but I voted for the snowboarder as my favourite theme is winter village and I felt sheer joy when I first laid eyes on the snowboarder, purchased in I think my second ever Bricklink order all the way from England (to Oz)

Oh yes this is very cool! The movement is fantastic, it really looks real. This would go down extremely well on display at a Lego show. It's a very solid and attractive design too. I like the stickers, the wings, the lights and checkers along the sides, the grill in the roof, the corner supports, the little garden. It would be great to see a photo of it in situ alongside the other sets.

I just adore this build. The facade is so pretty, with those gorgeous windows with big sills, the varied brickwork and the timbered top. Yes, every village needs a tavern! And a fancy dress party is even better, always a great way to use up the more unusual collectible minifigures. I like how you did the Frankenstein character. The market stalls are super pretty with their stained glass. Just the right size and lovely colour combinations. Beautiful work and best of luck in the competition!

This is a cute building but it is the interior that really got me, so many cute details! Love the little stable outside too.
-
Ooh I like both of these buildings though my favourite is the house. Lovely work!

Oh yes, every village needs a fire station and this one is gorgeous. It would fit right in with the official sets.
-
This is a sweet train station. I like the addition of the water tower too. Nicely done!

This is very sweet. I like your brick built animals and paw sign, cat scratching pole, floor tiling and vet's area. A great addition to the winter village!

This is a gorgeous building and truck, and the interior is so homely and welcoming, really fits the winter village theme well. I really like the colour scheme. And all those blocks of ice! My son would love to load up that truck and tip the ice back out again!

This is a very pretty building, I would be very happy to have this building in my winter village! Love the enormous bay window and the roofline. The couches with their gold touch are lovely.

A minidoll can sit in the wheelchair and looks pretty good actually, but can't clip on in any way so is very unstable. The two studs on the wheelchair are at the front of the seat, which would be under a minidoll's thighs; a 1x2 tile with a thin piece sticking up in the middle (like the edge of a small panel) would probably work to provide some grip but I don't believe there is such a piece?

Thanks so mich CopMike, it was very exciting to see that I have won a mystery prize and to see my picture on the calendar!!

Oh no, where is the winter village competition? It's one of my favourite things about Christmas as after all the hard work (of Christmas preparations and dinner etc.) is done I would sit back and relax and pore over all the beautiful and imaginative creations. And yes I agree this set would have been a great contender. It's highly original, totally gorgeous and perfectly in keeping with the official sets. Lovely work again Mouseketeer!

I think at the very least we need more variety of woollen sweaters, a real winter hat with big pom pom and a proper scarf piece, probably like the necktie piece that the train engineers wear but bigger and with tassles. A snowman suit character would be fun - or even Frosty the snowman! (A real character not a suit). I can't see a whole minifigure series dedicated to the winter theme but a Fun in the Park style set would surely work really well.

I think the name of Chess Park would be very catchy!!!

Beach hut reimagined. Now hiring out skates and skis for all your snowy sports needs! Thanks for running this CopMike!

My family and I really enjoyed watching your little movie, Arjen!! It's really well done and funny! Your winter village is fantastic.

This is great and everything I have wanted in a modular park - the cute gazebo, different and colourful plants, lots of little details that really stand out. The chess pit is a really neat idea, as is the tree swing. Overall plan excellent too. I've voted.

[MOD/MOC] Expanding the 10254 Winter Holiday Train
alsielou replied to mouseketeer's topic in LEGO Town
Here is the link that I can see from ebay Australia: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291917125442 If that doesn't work, try searching for "instructions winter train" I agree that it is good to support those who make beautiful creations and go to the effort of making instructions available. I also bought the instructions to Kristel's winter village cafe (google it!) and am just about to receive my final bricklink order for it. I built that first in LDD too and have made a few little modifications to it and the whole process has been lots of fun. I am now feeling confident enough in LDD and bricklink to really get stuck into my own proper moc. -
This is a very nice train station Miro. It is a lovely shape and I like the mix of brickwork and stone. The built clock fits well with the 'creator' theme of the winter village series and the station as a whole fits right in. I think my favourite detail is the snow covered fence!!

Rutchinou, Mouseketeer is selling the instructions on eBay. Thanks Mouseketeer!! I purchased them and am working my way through them, building in LDD first.
