  1. Guys I'm sorry but this project is a bust. It will not be continued because it's driving function is not working well and it does not have a good enough transformation (In my opinion). When it steers it causes the whole Tuk Tuk to lean to one side, then it stays there until I manually readjust it. I might build something else for TC7. If I do build something else it will definitely be fully manual.
  2. So true, it would literally take me hours to find pieces if they weren't color coded.
  3. Does anyone know of a driven 17 stud wide independent suspension with steering? 15 studs could also work.
  4. Another completely stupid comment. Why should LEGO be in Cat yellow? when they have never even produced a Caterpillar set. LEGO can have their own colors. Maybe you should start to think about what you're saying. As Max said you don't need to get LEGO if you're just going to complain.
  5. I hope this is the correct topic. So I might build a compact v6 lpe with a custom crankshaft and I was wondering what would the best crankshaft configuration. It will be a 90 degree v6. I was thinking of using a crankshaft like this: http://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/1xnck0/f1_engine_regulations_question/[\img] But I'm not sure if there is a better crankshaft design And why does it say this " An error occurred You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community." when I use the image extensions? I have changed the slashes to backwards ones.
  6. The different colors are very useful to find certain pieces but it does sometimes mess up looks. This is honestly a completely stupid comment. If Lego were made with metal then most pins would be rendered useless and many system connections would not work either. Plastic is much cheaper than metal plus metal is more time consuming to manufacture. By the way, not everything in this world is metal, lots of it is plastic. You might want to look into meccano instead if you want metal pieces. ;)
  7. Looks maybe but actual mechanics not really. There are two separate camshafts connected by gears, it also uses some custom pieces (I am not against this though). He makes very nice LPEs but not the best. Either Nicjasno or DrDudeNL are the best. One of his best videos is this flat 6:
  8. Looks like a nice small chassis. What will it be? I might also try to make a different model because mine doesn't have enough of a change.
  9. I can only say wow! That looks so much like the real cars. Great job. I'd love to see some pics of the inside mechanisms.
  10. A buggy motor would truly be great I am surpised that they haven't updated the pieces recently.
  11. Another set like the 8455 would be a dream come true!
  12. I forgot to add that conrods help make the LPEs much smoother, but they do take up more space. So if size isn't a limitation then I would definitely add conrods.
  13. I have made some V2 LPEs with the big cylinders that are rather smooth. It takes around 1.5 bar to get it started but it can be brought down to run on even less than 0.5 bar. They didn't use any modified pieces plus They didn't need a flywheel at all. They aren't the most compact but can be used in MOCs. I can make instructions if you want. A switchless engine would bemore eco-friendly but you would most likely have to use 3rd party pneumatic tubing. Also the small cylinders are very powerful so it might not work.
  14. I hope we all know how well that car worked. Hint: never finished, plus when it was racing, it could barely complete with the lmp2s. I would like to see such a suspension system made in Lego
  15. One way to gain efficiency is to use the less gear 9v motors. I have actually been building a flywheel accumulation hybrid system using a motors as generators.
  16. Did I forget to mention that I will be building a helicopter. -fully manual -complete cyclic, collective, and pedal controls -rather large size
  17. This is not exactly what I meant. I should've been clearer. I meant that if you can get free instructions to a masterpiece, one shouldn't pay extra for a not too difficult mod. I would happily pay 20 euros for instructions if it was worth it, but buying instructions for a not too modification of an already free model is not really okay (or at least IMO).
  18. Effe, I was wondering if you got any of the money when someone orders on of your items off of shapeways ?
  19. Also why when I try to submit a post with the image embedding extensions it says that you cannot use this extension in this community.
  20. Oh, I should have been more specific. I meant a snow gun the makes snow like these: http://www.lagoonsonline.com/rangeley.htm[img/] http://adventure.howstuffworks.com/outdoor-activities/snow-sports/snow-maker2.htm[img/]
  21. Has anyone ever built a snow cannon/gun?
  22. Motorizing an already built MOC is not as difficult as you seem to be portraying it. Plus why would someone waste an extra 10 euros on something that they can have fun doing themselves?
