  1. So how does it stack up against the SBrick ? The BSC unit seems to have a much poorer mold quality but this might be wrong.
  2. So I might be getting a buggy motor so I can build a small rally car. The question I have is wether the AAA battery box could power the buggy motor with a v2 receiver ? The battery box uses six Duracell rechargeables that are 7.2 volts and have 1000 mAh.
  3. Truly impressive, it makes those unimog tires seem small! I think I might just start making a fire truck How many panels did you use?
  4. Well here we go my new MOC is completed, it is an extreme offroad car/truck. SPECS: - L motor for each of the four wheels - Mechanically connected pendulum suspension - tiltable body with a servo - M motor for steering - not much body work - model turbochared V4 engine (with all the realistic tubing) The pictures:
  5. Thanks for the suggestion but I was looking for something more 'truck like' and not as 'van like' " Any other suggestions?
  6. So right now I've built most of an offroad chassis. It uses unimog wheels and uses an L motor with a portal axle for each of the four wheels. It has mechanically connected pendulum suspension and front wheel steering. It has tons of wheel travel and good ground clearance. So I was wondering what type of truck it should be ( preferably an offroad one)? And I don't want to make it into a unimog.
  7. Thanks man! Finally a free masterpiece! Yay! I hope to build it but the color combination with be a bit of every color.
  8. Has there been progress on this mini masterpiece?
  9. Any one want instructions for the chassis? It drifts once you get some dust on it.
  10. Yes I agree with Milan, great builds are a combination of both studded and Studless. It is like model team, they were both technic and brick. I do not think that lego would completely go back to studded because of how some parts might become completely useless. I mean that Studless usually works in odd lengths but studded works in even lengths. If lego were to mount the usual 28 touthed differential in an even size frame, gears could have too much slippage. Therefore degrading the quality of technic sets. If lego were to bring back Model Team or as similar line of sets then it would be the best of both worlds.
  11. Back with another MOC! With the start of a new FIA WEC season just this weekend, I thought that it would be a great time to show you my latest and greatest MOC. It's an LMP1 racecar, It uses a 9 volt train motor for propulsion (rear wheel drive) and a servo for steering. I originally just built a drifting chassis but thought it needed a body. So what do you guys think of it ?
  12. Wow that is a masterpiece! My only concern is that the front wheels might rub against the fenders while steering.
  13. Thanks for 34 subscribers! (I know that it's not many but it does not matter) So I made a special little car. Well actually its a Compact Crossover. Its front and rear axles come from the wonderful Gsia 17. It uses two L motors for propulsion and an M motor for return to center steering (used a rubber band for the return to center part). It's great fun to drive and has decent performance. The video Oh and also please subscribe to my YouTube channel. Thanks, Epic Technic
  14. Maybe if you could record it so we have a better chance of finding out. Could it be some slippage in the gear system?
  15. Another Update! The convertible roof is in the works and so are the doors. The front now has a curve and is one stud further out. this front was quite a pain in the Mega-blocks due to the wheel sometimes rubbing while turning. Other than that, not much else has been change or added except a bit more structural strengthening. The front: Top view: Full body: What do you think of it ?
  16. Thats an ambitious project, I like it! Four speeds I think might hinder the trucks performance. I would go with three.
  17. So I was wondering, are automatic gearboxes not liked in technic MOCs ? And if you knew some good designs ? One last thing, what can you do with the 32 stud longer axle ?
  18. So I created this topic to see what future projects you might have. Hopefully this can become a source of inspiration for people that can't think of something to build or just want to find a cool idea. My future projects: Tuned Nissan GT-R http://www.gtspirit.com/2013/01/19/fast-and-furious-6-blue-nissan-r35-gt-r/ Features: Lowering suspension Small scale Two speed automatic gearbox Studless body Anyone recognize the GT-R? So what future projects do you guys have?
  19. Nice! What suspension type of suspension does it have ? Double wishbone, live axle, dragged axle, Macpherson?
  20. Are you saying I should build a Nissan Cube? ;) Just kidding Thank you for the helpful advice, and it is a true honor for this to come from an expert builder. I'm going to stick with beams, but moving the lights backwards is not really possible as they will thought the wheel while turning. Thanks for the help!
  21. Sorry for the extremely late update but I've been busy and my laptop has gotten the Blue Screen of death, multiple times. The e46 is coming along great. The chassis is finished and the front is almost. A pic: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Epic-Technic/M3/img_2015032212372.jpg
