  1. Sounds like you had a good time, now that you have been do you have any tips to add to the advice above?
  2. This sounds right, it was on a leaflet I picked up in the London store. I assume Germany might be the same, but I can check what the leaflet says later, think it lasted a week or so too.
  3. The Stabbing Chimp is genius, gives him real movement :-), I like the placement of the hairpiece on the dead guy at the front and I like the hermit crab a lot. Beautiful build!
  4. Cools scene :-) i like the insides of the building, I like the bust you have made with the judge - that would look more marble-y if the torso was in white though. Otherwise it looks like a fun battle, its cool :-)
  5. I am tempted to buy 3 sets... Two to play with and one to keep incase I lose pieces in the others... (Although msybe that's because I want more angels and daleks). Eek I am so excited I hope they make more sets, I want to have Clara with mini tardis from the graffiti episode :-)
  6. It'll be very strange to get a fleshy minifigure series, I hope some of characters will work well being yellowized
  7. Oooo hi hope so!! But equally this could be the format for Belle or Cinderella in the Disney CMF, let's hope for both... :-)
  8. And my quest for Hazmat guy will continue... need more copies!!!
  9. Well if you can't reuse a Lego mould or peice, what's the point? :-p
  10. Hee hee hee, nice display case (and minifigures are much more interesting than shot glasses imo), not much room for expansion though... (but probably you should have posted here)
  11. Nice space! I too have a Lego crawl space although mine is a little higher up in the building than yours, I keep finding it getting very messy though because there is really only room for crawling or lego... stuff involving both gets a bit difficult! I like the scooter board idea, I was thinking I would try and make a low table with wheels so I could move the lego and I would stay in one space... and a cushion sounds like luxury, I just have a folded blanket so far :-) I also have a similar sized space for guests complete with sofa bed (pulls out to become two singles) tbh I don't have much room for lego in there so I moved mine out since I thought the guests would mess it up... but I recently bought an IKEA fold down table with the idea it would be good for LEGO and other crafty things... except I rather spend my time in the rooms of my flat with better light and better views, so I am not sure I would ever want to use it.
  12. Me too, need to try that one! Haha!!! I want to play this game too, I want to recreate some more Who sidekicks and villains, but I am a bit short on flesh at the moment... seeing as I have never liked a franchised theme before now.
  13. This is really cool, I had to re-read it a few times to work out what was going on and its so funny, I like it! The building exterior is impressive in itself but the inside where the action is happening is the best. Very Cool.
  14. Congrats on the frontpage! Look forward to seeing what Mr Mishap does next.
  15. This made me chuckle... I like the fossil :-)
  16. Okay here is my Disney wishlist, 1) Ariel with flounder (not a new addition but he is kinda essential) and maybe a silver fork 2) Ursula with Flotsam and Jetsam preferably 3) Peter Pan with a Tinkabell accessory and maybe a short knife 4) Captain James Hook with a golden rapier 5) Robin Hood with a moulded head, but preferably the hat could be detached, and a bow as an accessory 6) Alice with a "drink me" potion in a bottle, printed or even better a toadstool and the Cheshire cat 7) Aladdin with Abu, both with Fezes 8) Genie with lamp 9) Snow White with an apple, would be cool if it were redesigned to have a bite taken out of it 10) Evil Queen (Maleficent) holding the box for Snow White's heart and wearing a two piece cape 11) Cinderella in her ballgown with a glass slipper accessory, or much more unlikely but pre ball with two bluebirds 12) Cinderella's Fairy Godmother with a pumpkin and a wand 13) Beauty with Mrs Pots and Chip accessories 14) Beast with the satire legs (if they work in this way) and a moulded head and a tail... then maybe with Lumiere and Cogsworth too... 15) Mickey well because its Disney and I'll go with a Pluto accessory seeing as its popular, but I would prefer the Magician's apprentice so I would like to see detachable headpiece option so it can be reused in another series and for Minnie with bow 16) Minnie same headpiece a Mickey but with a hair bow. I would never expect to see this line up all in one series since its very focused on old-school disney, but I would be happy if these came out over a couple of series with some more modern ones thrown in... And then I would also like to see Jasmine and Jafar, Maid Marian and probably loads more... There are some Disney favourites that I don't expect to see or actually want, Lady and the Tramp or the Rescuers etc anything that does not work as a minifigure basically.
  17. Loving the black and white, with skull detailing and the Mercenaries look very menacing (I had to google where the armour came from, too bad it was released 8 years ago otherwise I would be hunting it down! :-)
  18. I like the back-stepping Brickbeard, nice movement captured with the minifigures :-)
  19. I like the change of sails, I think I prefer the one with the contour line, but its almost 50/50... have you treated them to stop the fraying? I would be tempted to try something like this myself, but since I have ships with no sails at all I think I would start there before I attack the sub par ones :-) :-)
  20. This is what was on offer in the Cardiff store... IMG_9016, on Flickr There was two cups worth but I had to share a third of one cup...
  21. I can't take credit for the idea it was suggested as a better accessory for the the Zombie Pirate in the thread about disliked minifigure parts and accessories
  22. I have never defaced my lego before, but I really liked the idea of having a Zombie Parrot for the Zombie Pirate Captain... so I got my paints out and tried to have a go on one of the grey parrots... Maybe I should have practised a bit first but after I googled zombie parrots for inspiration, I decided to get on with painting and this is the result of my attempt, enjoy! ZombieParrot, on Flickr (I bought a few grey parrots for this purpose, so any comments or criticisms welcome as I would like to try again)
  23. I went on a slight PAB rampage over the weekend... this is what I got from the London lego store... Just two cups in this visit... IMG_8968, on Flickr The first I spent ages stacking (I had time to kill), but I could have easily done I much better job of filling in round the edges... IMG_8969, on Flickr And the second was just filled as best I could IMG_8970, on Flickr I think there was about 30g difference between the two... and stacking wins by weight. I then ended up in the Cardiff store and it had a completely different and IMO much better selection... including proper palm tree leaves, bamboo leaves and flag poles. I'll post the picks later although I had to surrender some of the parts from those cups so I won't be able to show everything.
  24. I added the extra cannons too (of course), but I am curious about how do you intend to incorporate the two redcoat rowing boats? And when do (or if) you intend to open the ship up and build her...?
  25. I feel like CMF could be seen as being at least partly targeted towards adults... I mean when they write in the Minifigure books something like: fans were asking for a Commander to lead the Roman Soldier... so we gave them one... or however they phrased it, they weren't exactly talking about the children? Or maybe they were?
