The Empire of Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion
BrickOn replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
May I introduce Sir James W. Chase (pictured here with his younger sister Elena Chase). Sir James pledges himself to the service of Queen Annetta and takes up a position in her Royal Navy. His is keen to take to the seas and discover new lands for the glory of the Corrington Empire, but not least to collect new specimens from the natural world and indulge his hobby of fossil hunting. , on Flickr- 897 replies

OOOoooo I hope to be suprised rather than something obvious... that said I want a bunny teddy bear. As a new mould and a proper animal I would like a canary (to go with a miner). Also it would be cool to see a zebra as a recolour :-)

REVIEW: 71011 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15
BrickOn replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Awesome review, thanks! I am really looking forward to this series. I am a bit disappointed but not surprised that the animals will in shorter supply. That queen's dress is very very nice :-) -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
BrickOn replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
On the whole I am very happy with this series, bit disappointed in the astronaut (I would have like semi transparent, smoked glass on the visor) but I like the way the visor lifts, which is an improvement on the city ones. Loving the ballerina, although she is very white, I want to see her in the flesh before I decide completely on her. I hope we get one in black or a male partner or both! Satry Wow!!! The queen's dress piece is so much better than I thought it would be, loving the new mould What is the animal on the scary knight? Is it a wolf? -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
BrickOn replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yep, I am one of those people, I am back-collecting the minifigures, since I joined the game late (around series 11/12)... the animal suit guys stood out as I theme I wanted to collect so I am tracking them down over other minifigures, but not exclusively. I do tend to try and collect the minifigures that come in a theme first (e.g. western, historical, castle, pirate, mythical), or that go better with my wider lego collection and buildings... About shark guy, I don't know if he will necessarily be as popular as other costume people... its not a given? My other half is/was crazy about hotdog guy like no other minifigure, but is completely non-plussed about him... I don't really get it. Was/is piggy suit guy that popular on the resale market? -
Wow this is awesome. Love the letters!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
BrickOn replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'd like to see the pig mould soon :-) and maybe if we got to see the crutches that might shed some light on the new arm debate, although I would have thought not since we'll be getting new flippers as arms for shark guy. If they were going to spend money making new moulds then the satyr legs would be more welcome (for me), but maybe not for everyone because I guess a new arm mould could be used for loads more things than just the crutches. -
I found some series 10 minifigures in a shop on the weekend and picked up 3 medusas (must have been more than one box at some point?), grandad (i was missing him) and two revolutionary soldiers (still want to army build that one), no sign of bee girl or mr gold though... also got a hotdog guy (the other half is army building him, still) and ned flanders. And they were selling the advent calendars cheaply too so I grabbed the city (for me) and starwars one (for the other half). I am still not meant to be buying lego

Ooo those pieces look great, I am excited to see the baby, doesn't look like it can be carried easily though and the skunk is always cool to have new animals :-) -

At first I thought it was a fake for sure, but I would be happy if there were extra minifigures, now which ones to add to my wishlist....- 4,155 replies

This is absolutely awesome, I am so envious. I really like the cannon smoke and exploding wall! Fantastic scene, I want to see it up close!
-
Yay! Thanks for doing this again, I have a quick question, could the build include one teeny tiny paint job on a single brick, or are modifications out too?
-
cool scene, I like the way you've done all the pipes. Great scene!

Seems like a good argument for lego to just release the old CMF series with slightly updated printing (maybe) it means everyone can own the real thing and potentially lessens the need for people to resort to dodgy second hand markets and risk getting knock offs. I don't care if it devalues my collections, I collect for me, not for resale value.

I washed and dried some pirate ebay lego... I have never wanted to wash lego so much... I am sure on a scale of 1 to yuuuuuuk it was only a 4 but I feel a lot better knowing its all nice clean and ready to be built

Most collectible figures from each series.
BrickOn replied to davidmull's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I need her and chicken suit guy... I caught the bunny cheap on ebay (without his carrot) and managed to get the others, since I only started collecting properly at series 12. I found her head at Legoland, in the crazy-messed up minifigure trading selection, so now I am hoping to get her cheap with the wrong head... had a look on ebay though and there seem to be loads of fakes being sold, so now I don't know if I will trust to buy her there. -
Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
BrickOn replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Now that would be weird. And annoying assuming he'll get good leg printing to carry on the coat to the legs... it would render the whole body useless to with other pirates... Woody and Buzz were toys they weren't supposed to be in scale with other figures, but the disney guys should at least blend in...- 4,155 replies

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
BrickOn replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I would have liked a separate head/hair combo piece for hook, purely so I could reuse it and presumably so that lego would reuse it, but for the purposes of making a really good Hook character then they really need to go down the molded head route, plus it presumably will make him taller and maybe give his minifigure better proportions. I am still holding out hope that pan and the princesses get regular heads... you never know maybe we will get some leaks of the new molds at some point?- 4,155 replies

Yep, at first I ignored it seeing as I don't think I have suffered cracks (I mean I may have a couple of old minifigs from outside of my own collection with a crack in, but who knows how those were treated?). I did have a skeleton leg break at the top the other day (I was probably placing it under too much stress) and a pirate hook (known to be weak)... Now I am worried that all my minifigures will spontaneously crack overnight. But if they do, I probably won't lose sleep over it, the only ones I pull the arms off (mostly for customizing purposes) are not priceless or irreplaceable, and after all they are toys so they are meant to be played with. I have a friend who can't play a guitar without the strings corroding (metal strings), apparently his brothers can tell if he's picked up one of theirs because the next time they use it the strings break... hmmm makes me think I do not want this guy playing with my minifigures, ever, just in case.

Scene stills from a new pirate video animation
BrickOn replied to ThaukaFilms's topic in Pirate MOCs
Cool I will go and check out the movie at some point, I like the miniscale ship and treasure island, interesting uses of scale! -
I like the added length, looks good :-)
