Thanks, I like the island too, I think I'll keep it as a centre piece to my pirate collection/scene for a while, minus some of the brutality... just means I need to get some more grey bricks as I had planned to reuse them after the competition was over. Well I cannot take credit for the charred body, as I was very much inspired by your own entry, but the other guy had been hanging around for days roasting and it seemed like he needed company and more gore! Zombie islanders? shhhhh don't give lego any ideas or we'll get one in the next CMF series

<p>The pirate endured a terrific storm last night, in which their ship was dashed against the rocks. Many died, but quite a few swam to shore and the first mate is the last to make it off the boat. He briefly wonders what has happened to the crew (and why the rat is staying on the boat remains, surely they are the first to abandon ship?) but all these thoughts are pushed from his mind when he spots the islanders. Beautiful ladies with big smiles and that grinning chap seems alright too, friendly, ahhh he's saved.... IsleOfJewelsCloseUp, on Flickr First mate wades to shore, greeted by friendly locals ShipwreckedWithFriendlyNatives, on Flickr But all is not as it seems on this beautiful island, sure the islanders are the happiest people you will meet, but maybe its because they are preparing for the big feast of roasted pirate... char-grilled and slow roasted over the lava flow provided by the angry Volcano God. RoastPirates, on Flickr The brains are the best bit so its good to remove them from the body and eat them while they are fresh and if you don't keep up with the latest fashion in hairpieces you don't get to come to the feast so its important to get the first pick of the new bones! Brains and Bone Fashion[/url, on Flickr And most importantly of all sacrifices must be made to the mighty Volcano God to keep him happy. Many pirates are beheaded and thrown into his fiery crator (the Islanders keep the brains though). Volcanic Sacrifice, on Flickr Hope you like my entry of Happy Islanders at work! Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

Sure but they are pretty similar... I can't wait for some leaks on this subject, so much speculation, we'll have long picked all the best characters by the time the series comes out at this rate!- 4,155 replies

There were some things that didn't get me back into LEGO during my dark age, but might have done... One was buying a little set as a promotion in an Esso garage, just because I wanted it, it was a little city cop in a little car. I had fun building it and played with it, but I slowly lost all the lego bits (still have the minifigure though). Another time I went to visit my parents and instead of chocolate on my pillow (yep I always gets chocolate on my pillow, like a hotel, but better) I got a CMF minifigure packet. It was series 11, I got the yeti, I liked it but I was a bit disappointed it wasn't a more classic looking figure. It wasn't enough to make me buy lego... (income may also have been a factor at this point, I would not have had money to "waste" at that point). What actually got me back was reading this blog post where some guy went and took a load of cool photos with a minfigure avatar in each photo, holding a camera. Then shortly after reading that I went traveling with an AFOL and his girlfriend and I saw some CMF packets and I decided we all needed avatars for the road trip. First I bought the first Simpsons series, but I was disappointed with the contents, but in a different shop I found some series 10 minifigs and bought us all one for the road, after that I was hooked on collecting CMF and slowly I have expanded to other things, mainly pirates, castle, creator sets, but I have favourite sub themes within these.

This is really cool, such a good photo, i like the idea of taking photos as you go a long to get the perfect finished photo, its really paid off here, I do it but for different reasons (I am usually whatsapping them to friends and family). I love the head blown off by the cannon, its really eye catching, then the blackened burnt bodies in the background, its perfect!

Sure for some/most classic Disney heroes and villains is best... but some work okay as couples like Aladdin and Jasmine, Beauty and the Beast... personally I am in no rush for a prince charming... to go with Cinderella or Sleeping beauty.- 4,155 replies

I went into a toyshop this weekend, looking for lego and it seemed to have the entire range of Playmobil, more than I have ever seen in my life (I think the owner was a collector)... and so many pirates.... I bought one (and a lady in yellow dress), just for nostalgia's sake (not that I ever had any Pirate Playmobil, just a house, playground, school, hospital, ambulance, campervans etc), but they have soooo many cool things, the only issue being it's not lego otherwise I would have emptied my bank account. Based on sheer volume of availability and range, Playmobil might have the edge over Lego on pirates these days... In my mind Playmobil is one of those things I will wait to buy until I have kids, because I don't need it and its a bit big to collect... but I picked up the catalog anyway.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
BrickOn replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I am hoping the same, either a goody and a baddy from a set or the main couple from the set, depending on the franchise... but I would have thought that Hook was more Iconic than Wendy, even Tink... Actually would like a whole Peter Pan set, but the children a easier to make up without special pieces- 4,155 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
BrickOn replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I don't follow Ninjago or know that much about it, but I really don't see Lego making a CMF theme specifically for it, but that could be because I don't want them to. I hope they would make The LEGO Movie Sequel series, after a bit of initial resistance, I actually really like the minifigures (not so much the robots). -

Maybe it'll be like Babe where the pig helps round up sheep, so that would kinda be like a shepherd. And if that were the case then the farmer might be wearing a flatcap and the pig (or piglet?) could be in a sitting position to fit on the baseplate. -

Oh I did't read all this before I posted on the CMF series 15 thread, but the piece already exists? IMG_9048, on Flickr And just to be sure I popped her into an open CMF bag and she seemed to fit to me... and if two characters had the same piece as they easily could in Disney then that could also eliminate the "oh its so obvious what's in here issue" not that I thought it was any more obvious than a standard skirt.- 4,155 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

But the actual AB design for Marie Antoinette doesn't require require a new mould for the dress? The way I interpreted the design its just this... IMG_9048, on Flickr IMG_9049, on Flickr IMG_9050, on Flickr (I didn't have a good torso, but I was going for a queen bee effect, other minifigure was for scale) They could make a new mould but then you don't get the bustle and that dress is all about the bustle. I don't know if this piece is actually still in production or whether its been printed on (definitely needs good printing) but its not a crazy idea that they would make it? -
Or she is back in the Christmas Special, so we might get her in that if they prefer to take from the more current shows, if they continue the theme... but I would really like Silence in the Library

Lego Minifigures Series 15 Guessing Game
BrickOn replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
hehe I was just wondering if this was just a masterful double bluff and that you might have insider knowledge and just be throwing us off the scent with the repeats... but I have a suspicious mind -
Hmmmm strange logic, I am sure the number of sets made will be to match current demand, with an initial run to test the demand and a second run to meet it... I hardly think Lego will want desperate customers paying third party prices for a set, I am sure they will make enough, it will just take a couple of production runs to get the numbers right. In a couple of years time there won't be enough to meet demand, sure, but I am not the kind of person who will sell my lego for profit (I am having a hard enough time scraping together some minifigures that I am willing to part with at the moment) so I don't think I need to feel guilty about buying extras. And tbh I don't really mind the people who do that anyway since it would tough to get hold of lego we missed out on if others hadn't bought extras earlier.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
BrickOn replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yea that makes sense, I just had to catch-up on my Nexo Knight reading to work out what was going on... I kinda just want the Princess version of Macy (in the next wave), Jestro and those little lava monsters... They also reuse Spooky Girl hair mould in brown, which set does she come in, maybe there will be a Princess Macy (in a dress rather than with armour) in with her at some point...? I really like the duel moulded sleeves with the long white gloves, think it would look really good on a minifigure with a ball gown so I hope we get something like this in this series! -

I didn't say I wanted them yellow, I just want some of the torsos to be yellow compatible if I swapped the hands over... so not too much cleavage showing etc Because, speaking personally, I will buy the whole series regardless (because I like collecting the minifigures and I like most of the Disney from my own childhood and some from the present day) But which ones I buy multiples of will depend on how useful I find them for using in my lego 'play' in general, and those I would use the parts for other scenes etc. Does that make sense? EDIT: But I keep forgetting I need to start stockpiling flesh to make all the Doctor who scenes so scrap that, I don't care what colour they are as long as they are cool Minifigures- 4,155 replies
