  1. Great job at portraying the fisherman's wharf. I like the angle of the second photo though I'm not sure why. Great addition of the mast for the rowboat.

  4. Alliances are made with the affections and marriages of the young to suit the will of the older generation. It is such a case today, as the young Eslandolean, Mateo Santos, is having a picnic out on the hillside with the beautiful daughter of Martel Schultz, Rebecca. Martel is in the sheriff of King's Port, and though he does not wield as much power as the military, he does oversee that the city retains peace and order. It is a difficult thing these days. He has strong Eslandola leanings, and his encouragement of the the affections between Rebecca and Mateo infers that he wishes to use his influence to aid Eslandola in securing King's Port and Terraversa. The young people are too naive and in love to realize that there affections are serving a much larger purpose. Others in the city are not so naive though. They have sent for a person with a very special set of skills. Dante, as we know him for we have seen him before, enjoys this moment of the chase. His target is dead, but is simply unaware of it at the present. All he needs is for the guard accompanying Rebecca to be distracted for a single moment. What luck! Apparently, a beautiful butterfly is worthy of distraction (for obviously there is no danger here on this hillside). The guard will regret that mistake, but not as much as Mateo. Well, I guess he can not regret anything now. Dante immediately flees the scene and by the time Rebecca and the guard recover from the shock, there is no catching him. Mateo's blood squirted out onto the ground and his face turned ashen. He had had his final meal. It appears there will be no agreements between Eslandola and the sheriff of King's Port, at least not through marriage. Dante loves his job though few others would say the same. This build is for Mardier in Challenge 5A. The tree was my first attempt at a tree that looked real. The hill was a fun part of the build making sure it worked without having too big of a gap in the transition to the flat portion. C&C welcome especially on how to improve my trees.
  5. Well I thought I had seen all of the builds I had missed while I was out of the country back at the end of January. Apparently, I missed this one altogether. I really enjoy the way each building shows aspects of the individuals, trade companies, or countries. The name plates also turned out exceptional. I love the full shot of the scene as it shows the grandeur and size of this build. The small cameos and posing of the minifigures is great. I will go back to examining photos.
  6. @Brickwolf Your link for some reason redirects back to this page rather than to your build.
  7. Corrington is a great faction if I do say so myself. Once you guys have decided on a faction post a sig fig in that factions thread.
  8. I was reading the comments while putting the baby back to sleep. Had to work really hard to stifle my laughter. I'm in agreement with BD that I'm glad you didn't name it Scallywag Joe!
  9. Hello Jack! Glad to see that you jumped into Eurobricks from anonymous land. I look forward to seeing some of your builds around the site.
  10. I am late in replying to this but you did a really good job of redoing and updating the Flying Ninja Fortress. I am particularly fond of the SNOT sloped front walls. The interior is also well done, with the staircase being of particular notice. As always, you portrayed exceptional minifigure posing. Great job and look forward to future builds!
  11. Very well done exterior of Bag End. The coloring and details add a lot to this build. Look forward to seeing the other 18 chapters.
  12. Exceptional job with the kneeling posing! You also somehow caused the build to look larger than it is. Great usage of the space to create the atmosphere needed. The fountain, frog, and rabbit are all nice touches.
  13. Your build does an excellent job of portraying the description of this island. It also is an interesting way to introduce a new character and building the background of the character as well. I just hope she doesn't go insane! Really good job on the tree and as already stated the contrast between the dark tree and the lighter green landscape.
  14. Great job on capturing the Amsterdam style of building! The story has a fabulous twist for the challenge and the pictures do an excellent job of capturing the scene. I also love the detail of the curtains behind the windows. Little details like that are great additions and things I will remember to do later.
  15. I really like the way you used the soccer plate. Nice usage of a unique piece. I also really like that you made it so that it could be rotated by rotating the barrel - clever playability. My dislike to this design is how the cannon carriage is placed at an unnatural angle to the cannon. I would like to see it modified so that the carriage and cannon are at a more normal angle. I also can see great potential of this being placed in a scene with other cannons and soldiers.
  16. This is very well done! I like the uneven base, the part usage on the shack and the rocks the ship has impacted. The only part I have to imagine away is how the ship got so far inland that it is safe to have a shack right next to it. Look forward to more!
  17. Here is a screenshot I took so I could remember what I won this year.
  18. I think you should choose based on the story. If your story focuses more on the religious aspect, go with arts and culture. If you focus more on the education aspect, go with that.
  19. This is a well posed story! The pictures really helped tell the story. As Brandon mentioned, the minifigure plates work well for the roof. Nice job on the texture and the scenery. The galloping horse is my favorite shot in this story. Very well done!
  20. When will the paperwork be ready with the new zones? If we are just registering ships that are in a convoy, does it matter if we complete the forms now?
  21. It looks impressive! I am excited to see the final production.
  22. They won't let me bid on Wolf. 375 on Goldilocks.
  23. The WETEC bids 150db for Goldilocks. Best wishes, Micah of Wolfhaven
