Thanks you guys. Section8 that fight goes on way to long for any brick film :D
-
Hey thanks guys. I hope they put that hair piece out in some other colours as there is a whole decade of characters that it would work for.

Hi all, Here is a scene I made after getting the wrestler minifig hair piece. I immediately thought of Roddy Piper who sported one of the greatest mullets of the 80's and starred in the excellently silly John Carpenter movie "They Live".

[MOC] Small Architecture creations
PaddyBricksplitter replied to Askan's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I very much enjoyed looking through all of your photos and was very pleased when I was unsure what was Lego and what was a real building. You captured the pictures so well. Lego and modernism seem like a perfect match. I have often wondered about trying to capture some of my favourite artists work in Lego, now I feel inspired to give it a try. -

Best Adventurers subtheme

1. Dino island because it has dinosaurs in it. Nuff said. 2. I love to see him in Tibet on the trail of the Yeti. -
[MOC] Tower of Orthanc Mini Modular House
PaddyBricksplitter replied to PaddyBricksplitter's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks guys :) Patone40, I don't have any more pics but you can build one by using the official Lego set instructions by just using the top section of the tower. You just need to tweak it a little. -
Adventures End

I'm sure they are still out there, getting into scrapes! I'd love it :) Thanks again, I put little hints to all his adventures in the theme for the keen eyed Adventurers fans ;) thx :) -

Thanks very much guys, I'm glad you all like the little details. I will add a little guide to building scenes, as there is a formula for making them, soon. Well, after I finishing building my new computer first :) -
USC? Unimaginative. Very vanilla in terms of the building techniques and figs. Where's my cloud city at? Very boring parts wise, I think I could use my collection to have a go at building this already.

[MOC] The official Lego Balrog we never got
PaddyBricksplitter replied to BeardedNerdSE's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
They should have done an official version! This is cool to see in real Lego. What are those parts you used for the toes? -
Who doesn't love an airship? Fantastic shaping and minifig design.

That pic with Sam in the water is cool! The main build is awesome too. Well done.

This is awesome. I saw it on Flickr first. It has a nice emotional impact.

Very nice design. I would love to see a bunch of your ships together in a scene.

Adventures End
PaddyBricksplitter replied to PaddyBricksplitter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks again guys. I thought I might do a little how to build full frame scenes guide if any one is interested. I use the same method for all of them and it works pretty well for making nice Lego pictures. -
Adventures End
PaddyBricksplitter replied to PaddyBricksplitter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks :) I tend to do most of my mocs like this so they tell a story. Comics of course are a big influence on me, the old sci-fi and fantasy comics which have such funny covers. Of course the odd super hero can creep in..but you can see it's still the single self contained image I usually go for. Cheers dude! Thanks for commenting, I put those little Easter eggs in there (as I usually do) because there is always somebody who spots them, usually a fan of the theme or genre I'm doing :) -

Many thanks, very happy you like it. I wanted to do a grand old house interior for a long time. I will probably do something completely different next as is my nature :P However you never know when some foul evil will rise and good men must once more step into the breach ;) -
