  1. Very nice. Look forward to rest :)
  2. Thank you. I'd love to try an Endor design, probably the Ewok village. I'll have to wait until I get some Ewoks from the advent calendar first. And of course I have SW Battlefront to eat up my time come 19th November :)
  3. Awesome upgrade. Looks like it has great play features too. Impressive.
  4. Thanks. This was intended to be a theme mashup rather than a straight scaling down of the set. I have seen one guy who did the grey and black station from the first movie at a modular house scale. You should continue with yours an add it to the mix. good idea :)
  5. Thanks Andy, I only photographed the one angle. I honestly didn't think anyone would be interested in seeing more of the side or whatever. Thanks.
  6. Thanks, Now that's a big set. I suppose it's possible. Might do chima first though. Glad you found that funny :)
  7. Hi all, I've been doing a series of 16x16 mini modular houses. I take a large set and turn it into a little house. Here's my latest effort. Jabba's Palace or rather Jabba's modestly sized town house. Hope ya like it :D
  8. thx I might reduce them, but it is supposed to look ridiculous so...maybe not :) Thx. Chilling on a Saturday morning in Middle Earth :DRegarding Ents they would have to be little shrubs to fit into the garden area, just to stick to the mini modular house theme.
  9. Thanks very much to all who voted for me and commented. Really made my day :)
  10. Yahoo! Very pleased :D Im very greatful to all who voted. Thanks Eurobricks and TLG for running such a great contest! 2 weeks and a few hundred photographs taken during my building process were well worth it. Not to mention getting me into the wonderfully entertaining pirates theme. Congrats Vitreolum. I know it was close between 2nd and 3rd place. Respect to Adair. Congratulations to all the winners and mucho respect to all those who took part.
  11. Me too :) I hope so :) Well I would like to make some more houses first, so it actually looks like a street, that's going to take me a while. It's either going to look great or really odd. Thanks a lot. Yes it's basically the top of the tower with a few alterations.
  12. Yeah if that's where it belongs then the forum Gods should move it.
  13. Well there's only one way to find out. Im Interested to see how it looks and it's still a wip until I finish the rest. I'm still waiting on a few parts for the Star Wars one. I'll post that next week some time hopefully. Thanks Andy, I used the instructions from booklet 3 from the set to make this one. I left out a few rows of bricks from above the slanted roof area and left out the bottom part of the fins to reduce the scale. If you have it already it should be easy to modify. :)
  14. Yeah maybe you guys are right. I didn't scale the fins at the top from the original, they are the same size. I think I will remove the outer row of bricks before I build my Lego street. Helpful guys, thanks for the input :)
  15. Hi all, The parts arrived today so here's another 16x16 mini modular house. This time it's the domestic bliss that is The Tower of Orthanc from Lord of the Rings. It is very cloudy here in Ireland today but I did my best to compensate with the camera settings. It's far from ideal but I took the picture anyway. Hope ya like it :D
  16. They suck. I bought one by accident and threw it out minutes after receiving it.
  17. Thanks, regarding the details, the ac unit is built that way in the official set, and it has the slime too, just a little more. I tried ti keep the same building techniques I saw in the official images. No shelf space, that's sounds like me :) thx Glad you think so.
  18. That basement is spot on, you captured all the details needed in a small number of pieces.
  19. Thanks man, should be able to post the next one tomorrow. Might start a new thread as it's Star Wars instead of GB.
  20. :) thx Graham. Thank you Tariq. :D There's not much of an inside, just some stairs and a wall but there is room for a few details like putting a bed upstairs.
  21. Thx, well you can display about one XD Thx, me too! Go ahead, it's really fun doing these, making sets into little houses is good for laughs. Iconic design I guess and a good job by the Lego designers. Thanks Andy. The official one looks too big for my shelves. I guess I need new shelves. Glad you think so. I have done two more houses from the licensed i.p. themes. I will post them when the parts arrive.
  22. Charming! Looks very faithful.
