As a watcher, this was an enjoyable show :) As a noob Mafia player, I think i'd really like the anonymous playing since I don't have the history and knowledge to metagame much. And I LOVED the hostage taking by Helena! I thought it was a brilliant move and was disappointed that not much town seemed to think she must have more happening or she wouldn't be fighting so hard. Good job scum - I didn't have most of you picked out :)

1. Just one, the Aperture Academy. Survived to the end but lost :( 2. Not a big emoticon user, but the games here tend to be hilarious! 3. Seems pretty complicated and night-heavy but I'm willing to give it a shot!

Beat the Wii U game this weekend (no, not playing the whole thing in one weekend, but finally got to put in enough time to finish). Great game! I just beat the main story; I haven't replayed yet to get all the extras, so it says I'm only 25% done :) Definitely worth getting if you've got a U.

The long legs really work on the hippy figs like that! Loving the van too.

And +1 for MattZitron as well, great international dealings from his side of the sale. -
Have you read Sariel's book? I've got it and it's practically an engineering text, simple enough for most to understand, that happens to use Lego for the mechanicals. It's a GREAT book and I might have to go read it again for fun :) Basically, sure, anyone can put bricks together, but can just anyone figure out how to make complicated Technic mechanisms work? Maybe if they spent long enough with trial and error, but a good book on the topic can actually teach them how to design it better.

Great rolling stock, and looks like a fantastic decoupler built into the loco. Might have to steal that...

Love it! Great way to get some variety and realism into your town and very well executed.

Wow, I got lucky! On night 5 I was framed AND investigated, but clanure was blocked by Bobby. Thanks for saving my bacon there you traitorous Mesa scum! And just curious, why was Alison throwing around protection on non-scum at the end? Just in case we had any abilities left, or because she knew it didn't matter since we had no vig? I assume her earlier protection of loyals was to confuse any investigation/tracking/etc?

I agree, I'd love more "behind the scenes" info. Also, how much experience did various players have? I came into the game expecting something more like the Reviewer's Academy here - lots of help from the teachers, lots of info, etc. Instead I was thrown into something I knew literally NOTHING about other than the initial rules and brief info in the first days' comics. Other players knew much much more. For example, I had no idea that framing was even a possibility till long after it happened.

Basically, I got totally fooled by Bob (Hamerstein NWC)'s attack on Shawna when she was claiming serial killer. I flagged him as town for that one action and trusted him WAY too long for it. That was a GREAT move by him. I also did NOT expect that many scum. I thought we had 1, maybe 2 left. Not Lucy, Bob, AND allison. Lucy's "trap" near the end was well-played too. Not sure if that was originally planned, or if that was good quick thinking when called out on her original post, but it was well played and protected her too, PLUS put lots of heat onto Davey. IMHO, those were the two best "plays" of the game. And yep, it might have been better for Jeanie to suicide after getting those penalties. Didn't think of that. We were making other creative plans, but didn't think of breaking MORE rules :) For the record, I don't think Claire (LegoDad)'s last-minute penalties were deliberately trying to get more votes to tie things. He posted something meant to be in a PM and had to delete it, but we knew he'd survive it. We were planning to then switch some votes to make use of the penalty and tie the voting up, but the voting closed before we finalized the plan. Argh... could have survived another day.... Oh, and I have to give major props to the phenomenal graphics throughout the game! My personal favorite was the end of day 10, Jeanie's lynch. Hilarious! The cafeteria set was awesome too, great setting and design.

but 3 vs 2 can still win... And you all know I've been one of Bob's biggest supporters, telling people I trust him when many don't. Well, that's over. According to his EB profile, he's been on today, just an hour ago in fact. So the fact that he hasn't come back or responded to any of our messages, well, he's outta here tomorrow. But hey, to save jeanie - what if we all switch our votes to davey? We COULD tie it up again! I'm not going to yet just in case bob comes back, but I will be online later tonight and can switch if everyone else does. End of day is about 11pm my time, so I can easily be back to check on things right before the end of the day.

Really? this late in the game you're going to vote without reading anything? Let me distill it for you. You MUST vote Alison. If you do, we'll have 6 votes on Jeanie and 6 on Alison, so no lynch. If you keep your davey vote, it'll be 6 jeanie, 5 alison, 1 davey, so Jeanie is gone. Either way we're going to lose someone overnight to the scum killer and have 6 or 5 of us left tomorrow. Question (to help me evaluate some past actions)... How much mafia experience does everyone here have? I am a total noob. Never even heard of it before joining the academy. I think Bob is the same. I think I also remember someone saying Jeanie is pretty experienced. How about the rest? Am I right on Bob and Jeanie?
-
Well, since jeanie now has 6 votes against her, the best the town can do is get 6 against Alison and hopefully a no-lynch again. Then we'll only lose 1 townie overnight to the scum killer (assuming Brian wasn't the blocker - if the blocker is out there, you probably should block alison tonight since odds are she's the killer). So, those who haven't voted yet NEED to vote alison to tie things up. Anyone have a better plan?

My opinion on Alison has actually be solidified by her doctor claim - no one that I talked to could confirm it. They (Brian, others) thought Cameron really was the doc and that she's just trying to save herself now. Without anyone to confirm her tale, how can we trust it? There's no objective proof here - it's probably the easiest role to fake if you are scum since you'd know who's getting killed each night and can just claim to be protecting someone else. Taking out Jeanie today will obviously be simple. Unless we can get 6 of us to agree to someone else, she's gone. The rules up there don't clarify what would happen if one votes for Jeanie and the rest of us someone else, making it a 6-6 tie. It just says a majority is needed, so taking things literally I'd think that would be a no-lynch. That's the best hope she's got right now. Well, I guess we could get 6 votes on someone, 5 penalty on her, and the last vote on someone else and then she'd certainly be saved. I'm still not 100% confident on Jeanie, but I'm more suspicious of Alison, so... Vote: Allison Reynolds (jamesn)

Thanks for fixing the totals. Sorry to have to do this to the teachers, but... Unvote: Davey Osborne (Mencot) Vote: Allison Reynolds (jamesn) Reason: I don't trust her doc claim at this point. Some have expressed private doubts (wiht decent support) and it'd be too easy to fake. If she's scum claiming town doc, just announce tomorrow that she protected someone who didn't die. There's no way to verify her claim. I say expel allison, have our blocker block davey, and there's high odds of all the town surviving the night.

Lots of talking going on with various people. Based on all that, I need to switch again. UnVote: Allison Reynolds (jamesn) Vote: Davey Osborne (Mencot) Current totals: 4 for davey, 3 allison, and 1 unvoted. That's Bob, Lucy, Allison, Mary Jane voting Davey, Claire, and Brian, and Davey voting Allison Jeanie unvoted yet.
