So.... I'm suspicious then of the cultist being scum. I'd think a townie that was quitting would have the decency to at least say so publicly, as well as share any final info/thoughts/etc. Hopefully if cultist IS town they've sent hinck what they know (their role, pill results). But I won't be at all surprised to see a scum result tomorrow on cultist. My gut on this one is like 60/40 scum. Agree on snake - leaning slightly scum to me, mostly due to too quiet. Surely SOMETHING has happened that you could comment on! There IS a jester still? I think I'd forgotten about him he's been so quiet! BONAD, could be scum, but I suspect just hasty town play. Not sure the scum would have shared info so fast. Cultist, already said just above. Witch - I know I've stated at least once, probably more, that she's not off my radar. I'd be open to a third, since I am leaning scummy on cultist. not sure who that would be... my top suspicions now are cult, male lover, and maybe snake in third. I don't think they're actually lovers - it's in their descriptions, but nothing else in there is true that I know of. Worth a confirmation from hink, but I don't think it's a real concern.

I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that purpearl was saying we should look at the one-fake-vote-having people (and especially who MADE that fakevote) since it'd be a way for scum to toss out a weak accusation, see if it sticks and gets other people joining in, and then run with it if so, with little consequence if it goes nowhere. And while witch appears to be confirmed with the pill, remember that it doesn't mean witch ISN'T the SK or other unkillable person... just that they DID have a unkillable pill when the vig attacked.

Not sure why I was included here - I AM town, and I'm glad I'm appearing in town-mode to people. But I can't say that I've done enough to be worthy of serious trust - on the other hand, just asking me to get and verify a pill isn't exactly high responsibility and trust (especially if done right, like not telling me why or what effect you're looking for). And for the record, nope, haven't talked to witch privately at all yet.

Exactly my thoughts - there's lots of reasons for the witch to be unkillable, so if I had to guess, I'd say they're telling the truth about the pill. Even if that's verified, it doesn't mean they couldn't still be the SK or inventor and have had double-unkillability last night! But it's too easy to verify, so I wouldn't think it'd be something to lie about - unless perhaps witch IS the SK. Nah, even then I'd think they'd claim to be inventor or something. It'd be POSSIBLE that the townies talking behind the scenes know who the real inventor is, but if not (since it's only day 2) you figure it'd take probably a couple days to verify that claim. Whereas the pill claim can be verified before voting today. So a pill lie would be too easy to test and then be lynched over a lynch all liars. Yep yep. My gut says bonad was trying to be a voice for the vig to share info but didn't realize all the other possibilities as to why the witch was unkillable. IF being SK was the only way to be unkillable, then I'd say he'd have made the right move in sharing the vig's result and trying to get a lynch on the SK. I think that's BONAD's logic, since he did vote for the witch himself. But with all the other possible explanations, it seems premature but still not malicious. So, moving on.... I cna totally see thinking def was a metagame kill only if the vig had done it. I don't see why the SK or scum would have killed him for metagame reasons. So perhaps def was a scum kill simply because they know he's a strong player and obviously knew his loyalties, so they just wanted him out of the way early, before he could do anything? (same reason I hope that that fairy tale pill really is unkillable for hinck's sake tonight!) So maybe you'd call that a metagame kill on def, but not having anything to do with his changed style? I suspect that both the vig and witch are telling the truth - but that doesn't mean it's the whole truth from the witch! Having an unkillable pill doesn't mean the witch is confirmed town by any means. Witch could be SK or scum inventor still - or any other scum! The only thing I think we can know for sure here is that the witch isn't the vig :) I'm just going to say +1 or "like" or whatever the cool kids are doing these days. We animals can't keep up with all that facegoogspace stuff (no fingers makes typing slow, and they haven't made speech recognition for kaadu yet, and all kaadus look alike so the photos are boring) but I agree with that whole post.

I think I follow - there's several reasons the witch wouldn't be killable IF the vig is really the vig and telling the truth about the result. Obviously we wanna know which reason before lynching... As far as if this is the real vig - would the scum really risk making a false claim so fast? Would they have investigated someone AND kill them and so perhaps get super lucky and take out the vig on night 1 and KNOW they did? Seems like we ran into similar in aperture, with suspicion of false role-claim... I wouldn't expect any info - the "vig might be a noob" is just one explanation I was pondering. And true, the witch wasn't the quietest - I was thinking quiet in that they made relatively few posts and didn't vote.

Well, as a relative noob myself, seems like the vig could be an inexperienced player here. I can't say who I'd have taken out after day 1 if I were the vig - I can sorta see the "shot in the dark" explanation. Why not take out a quiet person, hoping they're scum trying to stay under the radar on the first day? Especially if the vig wasn't especially on top of things (the first days with so many players can get overwhelming) I can understand not making a better choice. Yeah, means we don't have a great vig on our side, but that's the luck of the draw. Hopefully if this claim is real they can be helped into being the most useful vig possible!

Why would the SK take him out? I'd think a SK would want the distraction too, just like scum would. Keep the town busy with anything other than figuring out the SK identity. You mean the vig's claim, right?

What about the obvious possibility that the Witch had a lifesaver pill? odds of that are about 1:12, higher than any of the other possibilities. Yep, surprised to see so much claiming from a vig - while I'm leaning town on hinck, I still don't know I'd be claiming anyhting to anyone yet.

Odds are, no killer got uppers. Can't say it didn't happen, but let's see... so there could have been a lynch, scum kill, vig, and serial kill. 4 dead if there were no pills or other impacts on the killers. (since the inventor couldn't have made and given a pistol yet). Since only 3 are dead, then either the SK or vig didn't kill (seems unlikely), one of the killers was blocked (possible), or one of them got pill-blocked. Seems incredibly unlikely that anyone got an upper - that'd require the scum-kill being blocked, either SK or vig being blocked (via pill), and the other getting an upper. Odds of all that are darn close to nil. Anything I missed in my logic there? Now, more importantly... yesterday's voting. To put it into text, it went like this (thanks Cult Leader for the chart, making this summary easier - I'm only looking here at the SK and Cultist votes): I started it early with my vote for SK. Gut feeling, triggered by his logic, that turned out wrong. It happens, especially day 1. But then... jamesn joined me. Kadabra gave Cultist his first vote. Jamesn unvoted, tying it up. fhomess voted SK. TrunpetKing voted cultist, tying it up at 2:2. Tamono voted cultist, giving cultist his first lead. Kristel voted SK, tying it back up. Then clanure voted SK; LegoDad tied it up. Rufus voted SK; jamesn tied it. Purpearl and bob voted SK, making it 7:5. Obviously we know that Kristel was town. The rest are unknown. Based just on the votes though, I'm suspicious of clanure, rufus, purpearl, and bob. Now if only we knew for sure what FDY's alignment is.... and I'll have to take some time to ponder their reasons for voting against SK.

Well... three town gone. Not an unusual start to the game, but still sad to see. Now, I was actually in the process of writing a post when day 1 ended, so here's what I had to say then: Now, this isn't a defense of the Doc, since I have no knowledge of his allegiance, but why does reading without commenting come across as suspicious? I know I've done it today for example - was out for many hours and could occasionally read the day thread on my phone but didn't have anything to say worth the pain of posting via phone. Would you rather have people making nonsense or useless posts just to post? That. I wasn't ever meaning to defend, I was agreeing. Sorry if my wording wasn't the best.... Now that we know some affiliations, time to analyze some more of yesterday's actions. I suspect that some of the later votes on the SK were scum - note how many times the vote was tied and then someone came and voted for SK to break it. Scummy! Time to go re-read day 1 and then I'll have more to say I'm sure...

Ah, catching up this morning on all the activity.... Personally, I read the Serial Killer's initial comments to be an actual attempt at logic (that was wrong), with a bit of joking around it. He even tried to adjust it rather than saying he was joking or just moving along when called on it. So that pinged me. And yep, snake is pinging too, for the reasons stated by Cult Leader. Especially the WAY it was said - give him time, etc. He defended the PERSON rather than arguing against the lynch. It came across to me as personal rather than trying to stop a foolish lynch. I know some thought Cult Leader's previous post premature or overreacting, but I agreed. I think his more recent post right above this is a good response as well. So right now I'm praying he doesn't turn out scummy later since that'll mean I'm screwed, but I think he's got the best logic around right now. SK, Snake are both seeming scummy to me. For now though I'll leave my vote on SK. I'll be away much of the day, but I should be back before the end of the day to use my one unvote if justified.

Well, here's what he'd said that I was agreeing to: And I agree exactly. Didn't see a reason to restate it, but I will since you asked. The way Snake defended SK seemed scummy to me - why jumping in to defend someone like that so early? Heck, i flat out said when I voted that I was open to changing it. It was a pretty soft vote and if the suggestion of fakevoting had been made I MIGHT have fakevoted SK. However, SK's logic still seems so flawed to me that it comes across to me as deliberately misleading. So, if I think SK is scummy, then snake defending SK is scummy too. Heck, the defense seemed scummy even if SK wasn't suspicious, given that it's day 1 and no one has any real basis for trust yet. So, at this point, I'd be ok with a lynch on SK or snake. Since my vote was already placed and we only have 1 unvote, I don't see a reason yet to change it. I'm willing to listen to SK too - but I'm not waiting when it's been over 30 hours. And I'm not openly defending him since I have no reason to trust him.

Gotta say, I see much wisdom in our Cult Leader's thoughts on the snake charmer.

well, it HAS been like 30 hours since his statements. exactly - my joking about the snake arms was on the first page of posts, MY first post in the day, and the topic was dropped by me a long time ago. You note I didn't vote or even fakevote for him....

Well, this IS only my second game (Aperture Academy and this) and I don't think i ever unvoted more than once in a day there. In fact, I probably only unvoted a couple times in the whole 10 day game. Kaadus don't vote lightly - I'd have no hesitation leaving my vote as is, unless BOTH the SK gave a good explanation AND someone more scummy appeared. Still, I think the fakevote is a good idea and I'll definitely use it if I'm just poking someone in the future. I also think the unvote limit is a good idea like the female lover said - especially with how slow we've started here, anything to get more talking and interaction going is a good thing.

Thanks for posting that clearer - I was going to do it for you after seeing the original jumble, but you beat me to it. Thje NPC is definitely weird, but heck, he's been given an alien creature to be. To me, most of the behavior can be explained away by roleplaying, but on the other hand, he (it? Do alien NPCs have gender-determining parts?) isn't really contributing. Nope. As for me, I think the worst thing I've seen yet in day 1 is the SK's logical wrongness. So I'm going to Vote: The Serial Killer (Walter Kovacs) for now at least...

No problem. Didn't think I was being strong in my reaction, but heck, I'm just an animal. Are Kaadus strong? First, am I a dude or a chick? Really? Anyone took my suggestion that having snakes that kinda-sorta look like obscene gestures in his photo was scummy seriously? It was the beginning of day one people! Others were making role-playing role claims (investigator, protector, godfather, etc), asking to be lynched on day 1 (the jester, day one lynch guy), etc. I made fun of MY pic as well!
