  1. Since I'm still working in Malaysia, Dad in NZ helped me pick up Penguin Guy, Wildlife Photographer, Spooky Boy, Banana Guy, and Babysitter today. Finally got all the figures I need from this series, so no more running around after them!
  2. Finally found these in store today, and got myself 2 Mariachis, 1 Hiker, 1 Dog show judge, and 1 Spy (by accident). All stores near me appear to have been wiped clean of penguins, bananas and teen mums. Oh well, the search continues!
  3. That would be pretty cool. It'll be nice to finally have an inverted corner. A little doubtful about the additional baseplate though; LEGO has proven lately that they're getting stingier with baseplates, so to suddenly offer 2 plates instead of 1 seems suspiciously generous...
  4. You're going to need a lot of extra bricks for that. The base actually extends out past the walls on the back, so you'll need to build up walls all the way up to the top, unless you rebuild the base so it's right up to the walls.
  5. Picked up Aladdin, Genie, and Peter Pan yesterday to go into the castle when I get it (already have Captain Hook from before). Are there any other relevant minifigs from this current series? I got the Ecto-1 because I thought I'd be getting the Headquarters, but after a while I don't really want it anymore (it was never particularly interesting to me in the first place). Guess now I'll get the Disney Castle instead, but that might also change. Picked up the relevant minifigs first, just in case.
  6. I'm rather disappointed with the open back, but the little scenes in the castle look good. Still on the fence about whether I actually want this or not. While it looks cool, it'll be very out of place in my modular city. Also it seems more like a display frame for the Disney collectible minifigures, which I do not have (except for Stitch and Captain Hook).
  7. I wish I lived in America. Buying it in Malaysia or NZ means I effectively pay about USD330 for the Big Ben, which means the Cinderella Castle will probably be an obscene figure of USD500 and upwards.
  8. Me too! I'm guessing lots of people did, because Fun in the Park is now out of stock till 16 June
  9. I would buy every single set they released if they ever made an Oz line. Always wanted to recreate Wicked in LEGO form.
  10. Is that a bone in your pocket, or are you just excited to see me? XD
  11. Oh wow that's expensive. What's with the extra 50 dollars I wonder? Might have to wait for a sale then
  12. Does this mean it'll be NZD400 in NZ? Can anyone who remembers the pricing of Tower Bridge in both countries confirm this?
  13. I wonder how many packs would be needed to build an accurate representation of the entire building (instead of part of it)
  14. Holy shit that's cheap. Is the set smaller than it looks? Sometimes I find it hard to imagine LEGO being generous with their pricing.
  15. It could just be a clocktower in your modular city. Perhaps fix a ladder inside all the way up to the bell. On a side note, LEGO is really cutting down on baseplate availability. I'm rather surprised that even this set uses normal plates as the base.
  16. Where is that torso piece from, by the way?
  17. Woohoo, now how do I go about acquiring just the head?
  18. OMG that picture just made me LOL so much
  19. OK that makes slightly more sense. So glad I'm visiting Legoland in July now; hoping I'll be able to pick up Big Ben then.
  20. Wow, we're getting really close to the release and there aren't even pictures yet. LEGO is being incredibly tight-lipped about this.
  21. 1. Achieved membership in NZ when I ordered the Haunted House and Grand Emporium, got my dads to use it in America while they were travelling to get me the Detective's Office, and now I'm working in Malaysia where there are LEGO Certified Stores which sadly do not have the VIP system, so I can't collect points any more. Why don't the Malaysian stores or even Legoland accept VIP points? 2. It's just nice to get a discount-of-sorts when buying LEGO, because it is rather expensive. The points help to offset expensive purchases. 3. I like modulars, which are good for collecting large numbers of points, especially during the double VIP period. 4. Special discount days, early access to the store when new sets are released, just more discounts in general would be nice. Again, would be great if VIP membership extended to Malaysian LEGO stores. 5. No need for special treatment. At the moment I would appreciate the benefits extending to Malaysia.
  22. Whooooops wrong person, my bad
  23. That's understandable. Could you add anything to CM4Sci's existing description of the set?
  24. Where are you seeing these pictures?
