  1. I say print their armor onto their torso, give them Dwalins beard in various colors and a new helmet mold. This way you can mix up your army with all the old non hobbit dwarf beards aswell as Gimlis beard. Instead of getting 1 beard/armor mold wich leaves ur entire army identical. I inted on rewatching the bit on the bluray from auj to check what the ebard situation is on the group of ironill dwarves.
  2. Lets hope lego is paying attention. Sadly it happened after hours on a friday x]
  3. smaug in 2 sets unlikely and weird, 2 diferent smaugs even weirder....... Smaug covered in gold looked awfully fake in the movie and i disliekd that whole statue sequence so a golden smaug i would dispise x] As for different expressions.... Only his eyes would change, lego dragons have mouths u can open and close so thats enuff. I think only chanse for another smaug would be a d2c prestine Erebor(pre attack) or Dale.
  4. Well they just needa do the minifigures from the show, the set could be soemthing random as they usually do. Also Deathstoke would be much cooler than the dark archer...
  5. Thats from the recent video game. They do not change designs based on the internet, the final designs were done ages ago, theres alot of merchandise partners that needs it, and turnes are pretty deep into toys etc..
  6. The same thing goes for TABA dwarves though, They don't wear big armor that would need to be molded. Can only confirm that for, thorin, fili, kili, dwalin, ori, nori, dori, and bombur. Besides even the ironhill armored dwarf soldiers doesen't need a mold for their torso armor. Hmm, the laketown set description does in some cases sound like it's jsut a tower..... Perhaps laketown is the 30$ set?! Or maybe the other 2 buildings are from dale?!
  7. What new molds?, i couldn't see any all the heads are from the Collectable Minifigure Series.
  8. 50/50 chanse of lego Bolg, but he and Dain is jsut about the only new named big characther lego hasn't made. And they do like making new ones.
  9. Lets not get into a whole conversation about this and get back to lego, the reason i borught it up was concerning weatehr she will wear armor or not in the lego set.
  10. Well, not really, they did it to Grima, obviously hes not as big a character, but I mean we got 0 Faramir in any sets for examle. wich is more of a predicament than Saruman in 200$ set would be..
  11. If any set was redundant it would be the wizard duel. It gave us a cheap Saruman yes, but it could of had 2 new unique characters.. Faramir vs orc, or Eowyn vs witch king could of been that set.
  12. I believe the set includes various parts of erebor. Iff they are makign anything from the inside the Throne will be the msto iconic part. These ARE gonna be labelled as TABA, not more "trilogy sets" If it includes the forge thats the added part of the set. The throne plays a part in TABA.
  13. I agree, but I'm sure there will be an important showdown in the movie with Thorin, Fili and Kili. Lego might feel the need to put him in a set.
  14. But theres 6 figures in those packs, so theres room for 2 of one soldier + 1 hero figure. I also think not, but it is possible.
  15. If the set ends up being called battle of the 5 armies, do you think lego can get away with not including 1 of each of the 5 in that set?
  16. I do still wonder weather Erebor or laketown is the biggest set, we've only heard people say Erebor looked substantial (or whatever it was) But let's assume it is, I guess -Bilbo, thorin, Fili, Kili, Dain, Dwarf soldier x2, orc soldier or Azog *Dwarves vs orcs -Bard, Bain, Alfrid, laketown guard, villager *Laketowners -Elf soldier x3, orc soldier x2, Bolg, and an eagle *Eagles and Elves vs Orcs -Galadriel, witch king, Elrond *This way we end up with all the factions of the battle of 5 armies. The 30$ "battlepack" set includes a creature as has been the case in the prior 2. We get every important NEW character, the important dwarves, Bilbo the overall hero, Galadirel the last lego piece missing from the white council and Witch king the last piece of the Dol guldur inhabitants.
  17. - I think it's fair to assume the Erebor set is alteast 50% TABA, I mean, The ragged company of dwarves isn't the most exciting minifig selection. And only getting 5 or 8 ragged dwarfs/bilbo in a set seems a little MEH, - I hope it's a white dress Galadriel aswell. Gandalf didn't put on anything protective when he went into dol guldur, so why should Galadriel, who supposedly is the most powerful being in middle earth. Lets hope! -Sets are nearly always finalized at new york toy fair. its almost a month after london toy fair, but i think it's more of a "supply chain" thing. If a set uses a part in a new color for example, they will have to wait for that part to get produced before they can show of final sets. It's propably alot of small things coming together in the 3 weeks between toy fairs.
  18. Well depending on the size of the set that might not make sense.
  19. I think its the inside that is more similar to dol guldur. The outside of Erebor is distinct. the set is also said to incldue the throne of erebor. so its very porapbly a mixed movie set. And why not include Dain, when hes the next person to sit on it.
  20. Hard to say, we've seen prototypes at new york toy fair before. so maybe nuremberg is too soon. Lego won't of had alot of time to work on smaug so I guess we won't see him, if Dain is there they proapbly won't be allowed to take photos of him, due to the fact the movie marketing has not revealed him yet.
  21. Well, the melted gold and stuff that is said to be in the lego set was something added in the movie AFTER the trilogy split. If they designed the set when it was 2 movies the laketown set would be the set they made for smaug.
  22. Theres 11 new characters we need + smaug. Hopefully Lego manages this, along with new battle prints for Thorin Fili, kili and possibly new bilbo. that leaves us with 15. In that regard the Erebor set sounds like it could be a huge disadvantage towards that. If lego puts in too many dos dwarves, and too little new stuff. For comparison: wave 2 of hobbit gave us 14 new printed figures 13 new characters (including the statue) and they planned a 15th figure Bolg, wich got cut for obvious reasons. Wave 2 of lotr gave us 11 new printed figures 9 new characters (if you count either ganddalf the white or elrond as new) Also hobbit wave 2 had 7 new molds, wave 3 needs 7 new molds + smaug. If Lego were to follow my "math" we'd be all good in the minifig department x] (we'd only be missing 7 minor characthers, 2 soldier types and 3 trolls out of everyone) ___________ lotr wave 2 had 7 new modls including the 3 parts for the eagle. But Hobbit wave 1 had 12 new molds spread across 3 sets. (the 2 DOS sets and gollum set didn't include new molds) Lotr wave 1 had 14 new molds. Minifig distribution across sets: -Bilbo, thorin, Fili, Kili, Dain, Dwarf soldier x2, orc soldier or Azog -Bard, Bain, Alfrid, laketown guard, villager -Elf soldier x3, orc soldier x2 Bolg -Galadriel, witch king, Elrond
  23. Sounds like a super boring selection Hopefully they include some bo5a guys instead of so many old dwarves. Thats barely possible when each theme only gets 4 sets in a year, msot themes gets like 6 or so right?
  24. and the lego chima spiders you gotta count the arms of the figures aswell.
  25. atleast a Erebor set has no place for any reused figures, and it seems dol guldur won't resue any figures either. Hopefully bo5a set has no reused figs. Lake town will obviously reuse atleast 2.
