I'm not sure if people are getting their infor right. They might be seeing things set up in a weird way on the display. what is another laketown set without smaug?! Sadly so far no hobbit fan have taken a look at the display, we've only gotten weird reports from people who doesent know the settings or characthers. also, I would of thought Erebor sets to be dark green not sand green?

What 2013 dragon? do you mean the one from 2007? wich has been in 4 sets atleast

Elrond is proapbly in his purple/red armor. the normal soldiers are in SIlver color. I hope Galadriel is in her AUJ white gown, and I really hope lego gives her a skirt piece despite being in a assumed action scene set. The current mold does not look like Smaug.
-
I do wonder if there is some small chanse the "Elrond" on display is supposed to be a generic Rivendell or Lorien soldier. I would prefer a generic rivendell soldier instead of a 3rd Elrond.

Eh, they want the movie minifigures to sell well first.

The state of laketown is kindof decrepit, they don't have the means of having an army, the Laketown guards are basically it's police. Laketown will form a makeshift army of it's population.

I don't armybuild, but I would like this aswell, ANything lego can do to cover everything is good to me! But i do think 2 armored orcs are enough, then they can do 2 of the dwarves or elves instead. So we should assume the erebor set is also connected to bo5a, seeing as Smaug isn't in it, and they need some force to figth right? that means Orcs! it makes little sense to make another laketown set if not to have the smaug showdown! the lake town guards won't be Laketowns primary army force in the battle.

I would add Gondorian soldier and armored orc soldier to that mix. Wich ends up at 5 minifigures wich is perfect for one last set! 11,99£ ususaly mean 11,99$ aswell in legos way of doing things right? But 3 figs are still possible in smallest sets,, potc and pricne of persia did it. altthough they didnt have 3 figures exclusive in that set.
-
It does seem weird if the only bo5a set is the relatively small 30$ one... In the previous waves the 30$ set has only had 3 unique printed figures.... If Dain is one of them, that leaves armored orc and presumably armored Dwarf (dwarves casue of Dain, orcs cause they need an enemy) wich means we're still short of an armored elf. Would it not seem mroe natural to put Dain and the dwarf soldier in Erebor? then leave the 30$ set to the elves.
-
Im nervous for how well they will cover Bo5A figures now. If the Erebor set is from DOS. I want the armored elves more than msot other stuff!

I know, but I thought the army of the dead was a much better comparison to make in this case.

They might, but i think that means he'll end up looking like another hobbit, considering every hobbit has that hair. They need to make him appear more like a human child than another hobbit. Less curly hair is a fine way of doing that. Besides, Lego does enjoy making pieces available in more colors right?
-
I'm sure it'll be like the army of the dead heads. milkish white. Lego's translucent colors does not fit the witch king, he appears mroe solid than that.
-
Anone else hope for a brown Luke skywalker hair for Bain?
-
Lego needs to make a new body mod for smaug anwyays right, so why not make him t-rex size? imagine that size with a long tail, long neck and large wings! Current t-rex and dragon size.

No no no, both of thsoe are in the hobbit... and I mean, glow in the dark witch king http://www.thelandofshadow.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/DolGulderWitch-king4.jpg http://henryherz.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/elrond.jpg

Ugh, astonishing x-men Cyclops is not as cool as classic 90's... Lego seems to be going super random with their x-men costume selections is really annoying.

Well, at the time Elrond was pretty unique, and he's certianly not a huge main characther, so it is possible with an Galadiriel. Lego has no rules for what to make as exclusives. They made Jor El an unique polybag so yeah.
-
There is a need. To free up space for other minifigure in the other locations where the potential for cool minifigures are greater. Lego should make an effort to do so. SO far they have been pretty good at covering every characther in the hobbit theme.
-
He means lotr instead of the hobbit. I'm holding out for her being the video game exclusive..
-
well from the rumored amount of pieces it'll be sets similar to mirkwood army, and laketown chase. wich means 7 new unique figures. Elven soldier, orc soldier, dwarf soldier, Dain, Bolg thats 5 wich we NEED! Then theres new Thorin, Fili and Kili wich SHOULD be included, thats 8, so hopefully Bolg is in the Laketown set. Bolg, Bard, Bain, Alfrid, Legolas, the Master in the laketown set along with smaug?
-
I would hope so! so that means 11 minifigures for bo5a? some of them being duplicates obviously.
-
Well the future is the future, 2014 is 2014. Now we have soemthing concrete to discuss thats confirmed for 2014.
-
Sure, but the thing is, both the necromancer and this witch king are gnna be fairly uninteresting unmemorable minifigures, when we're missing out on Galadrriel for example.

Their color chosie will be interesting, cause in the movie he is very mucch affected by the ligthing. The master's("mayor") house is the town hall. Last year we got the jail and the armory (theoretically)
