well, lego has also been fairly agressive in lisencing recently aswell, they bagged DC and Marvel, they got firsts right to everything disney and WB pretty much, they have nickelodeon and have partnerships with cartoon network. not to mention simpsons for as long as they want it(ish) They have a set for bttf and ghostbusters for Kre-o and megabloks lisences are pretty much all they have, because their products are so bad. and they are losing rights for the big thing to lego. so they have to go after videogames lego wouldnt lisence anyways.

It can be harder to sell bigger sets, and they take longer to make so it makes sense. ALSO when peopel vote on quusoo they say waht they would pay for a set, I assume most people might not put 100$+ I think its great with sets at this medium price point. Makes special sense with old frances like this. makes it kindof a "novelty buy" for alot of people who might not normally buy lego.

Well Galadriel might change clothes before dol gudur. But we'll proapbly see if they make a new hairpiece for her or use Arwen's.

In lego termns its a theme that stays around forever/keep returning and doesent go out of style. Like star wars or city.

I think it said so in the retailer catalogue, but that was jsut as a selling point to retailers, not a statement about its future with lego.

Maybe the need time to make a better smaug head than the awful inaccurate thing we saw from the videogame art. You would hope this "delay" would lead to more acccuracy overall, but i doubt it

I think thats just a way lego invites cartain fansites to come see their toy fair stuff.

2 months till the game releases, 3 more till sdcc then 3 more till sets release. (for al we know the sets can get pushed back to december) The videogame traiers and screenshots will proapbly show us waht some figures look like, and the bonus stage in the game might show us a general idea of the shape of the sets.

i see. but the gotg pictures was released alongside the article that said gotg would be at toy fair. That said I too think the game cover reveal is indicating we'll se atleast some hobbit stuff at toy fair.
