  1. I'm thinking we won't see a new Lego Star Wars until episode IX comes along. It'll probably cover TLJ, IX, Rogue One, and Solo, and possible retouch on some TFA stuff. Heck, if they did a supersized game touching on everything currently canon, perhaps even with some Legends characters (looking at Starkiller and Kota, baby!), I might just die of sheer hype. Regardless, unless they do a postponed TLJ game, that's my best guess. So, just based on previous release gaps, I'd say we're soon due for another Lego Batman follow-up. The first and second had a larger gap of four years, due to not having the Batman theme in that window, whereas 2 and 3 were just over 2 years apart. 3 was released in 2014.
  2. One time my older sister's computer started billowing smoke. This would've been about 2003, give or take, for perspective.
  3. Well, mine has changed. Simply, I saw on Youtube and iFunny that some people were using the Obi-Wan Kenobi face from Lego Star Wars 2's character select screen as profile images, and I really liked the way it looked. I opted to go for a different character, and since Bane is one of my favorite villains, I used his TDKR face from Lego Batman 3.
  4. Awesome work! Just followed you!
  5. I'm speaking solely on new Super Heroes release stuff. Star Wars doesn't surprise me that they're already popping up, as that is a somewhat bigger theme and very likely has everything worked (somewhat) more in advance.
  6. I'd definitely say it should be a bit slower for the next while before leaks or reveals later down the road happen. I could be very wrong, but if I'm remembering, there is precedent for my guess from previous years. If I am wrong, and everything pops up incredibly quickly, feel free to make me eat my words.
  7. How would back printing limit Strange's torso in MOCs? You can literally make any character who would wear that type of lab coat just the same without back printing. That is completely unaffected.
  8. Oh yeah. I built it yesterday, and it's that impressive.
  9. Some thoughts inspired by the trailer. I'm sooooo hoping for an Atom fig, and this would be a great place to get it. Dr. Fate looks like the exact design from Lego Batman 3, so I doubt it'll be him. Zatanna looked like a new design, but since that's be a new hairpiece, probably not her either. And though I certainly don't want it to be the figure included, Pajama Barry is a nice, simple design that looks pretty fun too. And an egg-beater hand piece? Yes please. An Ace the Bat-Hound would be cool down the road, if done like Krypto, which feels plausible for a future set. Does anyone else find it kind of darkly amusing that Joker's costume is the tropical shirt he crippled Barbara in during that trailer? Or that Reverse Flash does the motion-blur effect he did in the tv show when murdering Nora?
  10. Just got Lex Luthor Mech Takedown in the mail today. A huuuuge step-up from Lex's mech we got at the beginning of the theme. All five figs are great, with their clean and vibrant designs. Really like Firestorm; I was worried the flames might be off-center on the head, like the Ghost Rider fig I have, but it's perfectly centered. I'm not a huge fan of Wonder Woman's new head (same as the one from the book WW) or Lex still having the Bruce Wayne head, but all in all a solid set, with great figs.
  11. Ares, from Azarello's Wonder Woman run.
  12. After watching The Brick Show's minifig opening video, I did manage to catch something. Clock King's head is the Gingerbread's head backwards, and in the eyeholes it was actually printed with screws or something. He went pretty fast, so sadly didn't get any other neat details, like Jor El's torso, this time around.
  13. Jimmy Olsen, everybody!
  14. I like how Lego has started trusting sets to not have SuperBats to sell. Since Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Flash/Cyborg have now been allowed to have their own sets, it's fun to wonder who might get their own next. Green Lantern seems plausible, especially if it has two+ of the Earth lanterns we all know and love. I feel like eventually we may get a Green Arrow + second hero set, leaning towards Black Canary or Flash again. A Nightwing standalone seems rather likely down the road, possibly not even just movie-based, whenever that happens.
  15. I would never want a direct retelling of Bioshock, Uncharted, or The Last of Us, but movies set within those worlds would be just fine. I could get behind a Bioshock movie set in a new city somewhere (although where would you put one after the deep ocean and the sky?), which would even make sense considering the way Infinite ended (no spoilers here). Uncharted would be fun; it doesn't necessarily need to follow Nate even; I would be so down for a Charlie Cutter or Sully-lead adventure. The Last of Us could follow literally any survivor, even brand new, and could be great due to the brilliant themes and original monster design. Now, a game that could totally be adapted directly into a movie is Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. It went under most people's radar, which is a shame. It's a brilliantly-told story with gorgeous visuals and design. Fun fact, one of the art designers from that game jumped to The Last of Us, so you can spot some similarities in look and even themes.
  16. After this movie, I am glad Disney is willing to support brave choices in new Star Wars films. Since this, and Rogue One, did things that I would have guessed as darker or bleaker than I would have previously expected Disney to allow, I can now truly say the doors are wide-open. Clearly, there aren't going to be stifling creative controls put in place if they follow suit. I loved The Last Jedi, and now I don't want to wait for another two-years for the finale. And, since this will be the last role Carrie Fisher was able to shoot before her death, I wonder how they will handle it from here on out. I feel like the most tasteful way they could do anything onscreen would just be to have Leia peacefully become one with the force at the beginning of the next one.
  17. Nakia's face from the upcoming Black Panther sets would make for a great Vixen, although I've not found a torso I'd be happy with for a purist version of her yet.
  18. The Brick Fan has reported the normal and Micros DC sets popping up at some Toys R Us locations and online. I checked mine, although nothing yet. Has anyone else seen anything yet? Edit: Online, you can go under New Lego Sets and see them available.
  19. I realize it's highly unlikely, but more than anything, I want Lego to release raptors in the proper scale to a minifigure. Right now, the raptors are just under 2.5x the size of a human-height raptor the movies tend to show.
  20. Credit where it is due, you guys are all more optimistic about getting those than I am. Unless these turn out to be juggernaut sellers this upcoming wave, I figured Lego would call it done relatively soon. I don't think they 100% did the Lego Movie characters either, although most of those were admittedly somewhat more generic than actual named-character cameos like TLBM.
  21. I doubt it's a case of being darker, seeing as we've seen one picture, and just how dark Arrow has gotten at times. For now, Titans, Black Lightning, and the other shows are being kept separate just so they can see how the other shows do on their own before crossing over. They did the exact thing with Supergirl before ever crossing over with the Flash. I do feel like the TV shows will subtly influence what we see in sets, though not necessarily directly, as others have mentioned. If Black Lightning does well, he will be likely to pop up thanks to public consciousness, and with the Titans already being popular with kids, this could easily provide another reason to get more of them in sets.
  22. I doubt they are going to just reuse one of these heads down the road. However, if that is domino mask-shaped print under his helmet, it very well could be a nod to Black Lightning, similar to Red Hood having Jason Todd's Red Hood mask under his helmet, even though it was supposed to be different characters.
  23. Awesome! It's always cool seeing these Batmobiles, with all of their intricacies.
