  1. The dark side of Youtube is fascinating in the way Waffle House at two o'clock in the morning is. You see humanity as it exists in a very unfiltered state.
  2. If they did all of the character seen, even briefly, it would be enough for a mid-sized roster. It would also be quite dark, as so many of the characters were seen in Edna's "no-capes" death montage or as confirmed kills in Syndrome's computer. But hey, I'm down for a little dark humor.
  3. They didn't do enough to win over a lot of us minifig-ers. Had there been some sort of Katana hairpiece-with-mask combo, or more new items that could work with 'figs, I might've looked further into them, but I have no interest in minidolls whatsoever.
  4. This was my first thought too. It's like Lego was actively avoiding them!
  5. It wasn't Krypto in the movie, it was Wonder Dog from Super Friends.
  6. Oh joy, another black-suited Batman, only this time (presumably) without the same level of detail. Whoopee. The rest, as the Micros always do, at least look like they'll be good for similar-yet-different variations. New Joker tux is always welcome, and another masked Harley face (if accurate) should be fun. If the new juniors set lacks a new fig, though, I'll almost guaranteed be skipping it.
  7. I know! I wouldn't have wound up grabbing it for normal price, but now that I do have it, I feel so much more obliged to grab the rest of the Rogue One main cast.
  8. Spider-man Homecoming. Honestly underwhelmed.
  9. I'm not gonna lie. A time/reality warped sandbox and wide range of alternate and unexpected characters should be my biggest draw, but I'm just pumped that they're finally getting around to fixing the custom minifigure options. It's long overdue.
  10. Got Krennic's Shuttle for $30 on clearance at Walmart. Just thought I'd throw that out there to anyone interested.
  11. Maybe because of similarity to the BvS Batmobile? If they released this one as part of a set in the same range, people would probably knock it as similar but pricier to that one, whereas the Knightcrawler is an entirely new vehicle.
  12. Target had the tags out for all three, and Toys R Us literally had shipping boxes, marked "LEGO: Do not sell until August 1st," but neither had actually put them out on the shelves, so I was still unable to grab anything. I'll have to go back in the next few days. John Stewart's book did arrive, though, so that's awesome. Some neat ideas throughout.
  13. Bizarrely, I suspect they didn't use him because he isn't obscure enough; we got the most "central" villains that most people could recognize, and we got the very unknown, but the moderately lesser known, like Ventriloquist and Mad Hatter, didn't make the cut.
  14. That sounds about right, since they barely changed him up last time. Still a shame though.
  15. I'd say they'll do a continuation of the initial sets; comic-based, but with characters who are more immediately significant in adaptations. So I wouldn't be surprised if we get, say, Aqualad and Kid Flash. That or we'll get 24 Aquaman sets over the last 75% of the year. There's no in-between possible.
  16. Woah woah woah. You trying to say not every face needs a battle grimace? Bah! Next thing you'll say is that Braniac should have had a neutral face! Absolute bonkers! Seriously, though, Lego does seem to be getting better at appropriate facial expressions, even from just a couple of years back. Remember how Superman could only scowl or look really smug in the original wave?
  17. The expensive stuff does get good discounts fairly often. I got the Ultimate Batmobile at a noteworthy discount a while back, so I'll be watching to do the same with the Flying Fox.
  18. Screentime means nothing for movie merch. Black Canary and Hugo Strange also had barely anything, and they're confirmed. I'd say Jor El and Zod were more significant than Canary and Strange, because they were central to a gag and Superman's newsreel, respectively.
  19. Spider-Man and Batman again? Hopefully Spidey will get something new, rather than the same torso, and a new expression, since he's run out of eyes to squint funny. New Batman would be nice, as they could just do another of his 39573957 Batsymbols from over the years. I'd be good with Jim Lee's Batsymbol myself. Nightwing and Joker could be great fun. They probably won't, but a "disco" Nightwing costume like he used to wear would be hilarious. Supergirl vs Braniac could be interesting too, if they get enough variety from their previous 'figs. However, since they were both their standard looks last time, I'm concerned we may just see simplified versions of what we already got.
  20. Decided on a whim to put in Aliens last night. The Special Edition cut, because the theatrical cut cut so much character building for Ripley.
  21. Amazon just confirmed August 1st as the delivery date for the John Stewart minifig book. Hehe yeah!
  22. Aw no! That's the Legends of Tomorrow Vixen, who is awesome! Awwwwwwww.
  23. Could be. If nothing else, they've had a much higher public presence since the CW used each heavily, and since we got members of the Suicide Squad when there was more of a public spotlight on them, that could've been TLG watching the public (and us fans) to see who'd be in high demand.
  24. I doubt that. Marvel and DC are treated separately, so each one should have its own budget for design.
