So we know the new Juniors Robin will have an open smile as the primary face. Has anyone seen the alternate face, assuming there is one? I'd love a neutral or grumpy looking face, but I feel like we'll get yet another scared Robin expression.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BaneShake replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I agree. It could be very weird if he just had eye-hole indents on the back of his head. This one does look like it has sharper angles in the middle than the rounded middle part of the Gingerbread Man. That would be interesting. Sadly, it looks like that might be a discontinued color, since it hasn't been used in at least six years. -
I'm not a fan of Thanos's bald look in the trailer, but I feel like the bigfig would've looked better than the current one that way. Helmeted but with bare arms clashes bizarrely here, for some reason.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I cracked up at Zod's newspaper. Black Canary is my absolute favorite here. -
Except there are plenty here who don't need it or would have been considered perfectly fine in previous years. Jason Rusch's Firestorm essentially wears solid red pants and sleeves. Lex Luthor is no more simplified than previous armored Lex figures, and matches up pretty closely to his Forever Evil suit. Cheetah wearing full black leather pants is not the most common look, but it is one I have seen multiple times, so is still in-line with one of her styles; and sure, it is a shame that she and Wonder Woman don't get arm printing, but none of the comic-based WW figures have before, only the movie look. Batman is given plain legs and arms all the time. Flash could have continued the thin lines, boots, or armbands, but never had boots and armbands in the previous comic look either. Sure, there are details that weren't shown, but this is the precedent. Lego doesn't adapt all details; they rarely do. I would consider these figures at the same level of quality as the last time they did comic-based Justice League sets a couple of years back. And Lego did not have the strongest financial year, remember; doing every single thing further would be much more expensive, leaving less profit margin if they do even half of these. So no, these are not "half-finished." They are, at worst, the standard level of detail we've gotten in the past. Sure, it's fun when they go above and beyond that, but it's not necessary.

Are you referring to the Micros or the main set figures? Because the main set figures are very accurate to the characters, which I find highly desirable for minifigures.

I definitely would like to see something different if (since) we are going to keep getting Batman in the Micros. The full lineup has gotten better at acknowledging that Batman has more symbols than just his "Yellow oval" one, but we've yet to see anything else here despite three Micros versions. I feel like a big, chunky Dark Knight Returns styled bat-symbol would work really well for the exaggerated style of these, for example.

Heh. That Joker face is something else. Joker and Nightwing is definitely best for figures; can't wait to tweak and customize with them. Braniac and Supergirl is solid, although her face terrifies me. Cute skull ship build, and Kandor is a nice touch. Batman's, again, is the least exciting. Nice that they keep giving him new vehicles; in this case, the Batwing, and his grin's a unique touch, but a black-suited micro is just an inferior version of the black-suit we've gotten way too many times already. Harley's pretty dang fun though.

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
BaneShake replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I feel like further Teen Titans are plausible, as they continue to stay popular media. Fun as the crossover would've been, there wouldn't be any way we'd get a literal adaptation from Lego, since the villainous doppelgangers were literal Nazis with "SS" emblazoned chestpieces. That being said, slight modifications and having a set with ANY heroes vs evil alternate selves would be cool too. -

I think the face print is different, but otherwise the same. Similar to Emmett's CMF being very similar (although with a different hat/hair piece) to his normal TLM minifigure. -

Normal appearances (not counting micros) will probably depend on demand. My guess is that they won't appear for a couple of years or so, since Lego has gotten pretty fond of mixing up villains and supporting heroes these last few years, but all three seem like they would have enough demand to pop back up again at some point. -
Where did that pic even originate?

I'm greedy, I want most of the lanterns. Especially Star Sapphire and Larfleeze. Kyle Rayner as the White Lantern too. -

I'm definitely not getting the full shuttle set, but I'll order the new batsuits from it. I'll pick up the other sets though. -

I'm kind of getting the vibe that lack of Samurai in what we've seen means he'll be the Saturn Girl of the Super Friends characters. -
Watched Blade Runner 2049 a couple of weeks back. My fiancé wanted to watch How to Train Your Dragon, which I hadn't seen before. And yesterday I watched Suicide Squad for what was the fourth time (although the first time I watched the extended cut). Yeah, I know it's a dumpster fire, but it's just so good at being a dumpster fire, and I love it.

I've seen a few mentions of "only one new piece on here," but looking through, what other new pieces would be needed? These seem accurate to the material. And can anyone tell what Apache Chief is holding? -

I suspect someone meant original Gotham By Gaslight Batman. Nowadays, steampunk Batman is almost always shown with goggles (such as the short-lived Infinite Crisis game), and the conversation on here has talked about the swim-goggles working well recolored, but Gaslight, and presumably the upcoming animated adaptation, are actually pretty light on anything truly steampunk, sticking more to just Victorian, and so does not wear goggles. Looking again at the figures, a couple of accessories strike me as odd, although some of them welcome. Did Killer Moth have a ray gun in the movie? Did Clock King use two spears (presumably as "clock hands"? -

I'm not sold on Mermaid Batman. I would've preferred a couple of the other Batsuits. My knee-jerk reaction to swimming Batman was the same, until I realized that means an updated bare-torso print, so I'm okay with it now. -
Do you happen to know from where that offer is coming? That's a worthwhile price.

In addition to a couple of the micros minifigs having pics out in the wild, there's a closer look at Krypto as well. He's a little bit more heavily stylized than I would've guessed, but in a fairly dignified way. It'll be interesting to see one in person when the set releases.

That is a useful Joker face! Wonder what the other side is. One of the standards, or a new one? Either way, worthwhile. And that Harley is rather fun. I'm not too fond of a black-suited Micros Batman, though. Unlike the previous two, which I used for customs, this one had no benefit to me; we have so many black-suited Batmans released already, and they already have better printing and detail. -
Did you just say speedsters? I'm trying to be good, and wait for the price to drop, but you aren't making this easy, my friend...

It's not impossible-- since we've seen a new Lex design, a couple of new Robins (assuming this is juniors), and Batman's cape and cowl in new colors, they seem to want to keep it interesting. Fingers crossed! That would be a great day, although it seems like Lucifer would have to turn on some heaters when it happens, if you know what I'm saying.
