Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
BaneShake replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd dig this. I'd also dig this. If we're gonna go lesser-knowns, I'd love to see Aztek; either the original or the successor female Aztek would be great. -
I'd love to see some of the alternate identities of several heroes show up. Cassandra Cain Batgirl, Connor Hawke Green Arrow, so on and so forth.

Very glad to have you aboard! EDIT: Sorry, didn't realized someone had bumped this up from years back.

Glad to have you, Bookworm! Great username! EDIT: Sorry, I just noticed this was posted YEARS BACK. Someone else bumped this up and I thought this was recent.

Welcome to Eurobricks!

I agree. And Lego seems to have enough cooperative persuasion to make things work; they managed to get Star Wars characters into The Lego Movie, despite the fact that the companies involved would have made that far trickier to do. So it sounds plausible.

Honestly, I have no clue. I would assume so, as developers usually are fond of making sure people can access their content regularly (otherwise, why even make the content?), but I can't guarantee that.

I know a lot of people love CinemaSins, but I have really gotten to loathe them recently. Combining valid complaints with lazy running gags, intentional AND unintentional errors, and critical lack of research (often to the point of missing things explained IN THE MOVIES THEMSELVES) just makes a clustered mess of things. Sadly, people use their videos as legitimate reviews, and will often have their first and last impressions of a movie set by these soulless clickbait videos. Long story short, I didn't even watch the video. Does anyone have any valid complaints with how they made this one?

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
BaneShake replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
You know, I quite often see this argument on new figs, saying "the outfit didn't change much, so we won't get a new one." The thing is, these characters tend to get pretty dramatic overhauls while sticking to the same "essentials." Slade always has a half-orange mask and body armor, sure, but compare his classic look (what we got in a figure) to the New 52, and then to Rebirth. Three costumes all along the same lines, but dramatically different. I don't mean to single you out or anything (sorry about that), but this argument always drives me crazy when it pops up. By this one, Batman or Wonder Woman would never get new figures, because their outfits don't change all that much when redesigned (I'd say it about Superman too, but we still haven't gotten a newer-comic style suit for him, so I at least see where it's coming from). -
He was in Injustice 2, as well, but not originally.

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation

I'm leaning towards Black Adam. Ares, Heatwave, or a new Deathstroke all seem plausible too, though. -
I like the design of the mansion, but dang is that thin.

Dang, again? I know Lego's design team seems to be nostalgic for the designs from the '89 Batman movie, but there are plenty of different Batwing designs that would work better for new sets.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Oh yeah. And as fun and original as TLBM sets have been, it will be nice to see slightly more of the comics-based DC stuff again. -

I hope they use the Black Panther-type ears to give him a more streamlined head. -
REVIEW: 71020 LEGO Minifigures - LEGO Batman Movie Series 2
BaneShake replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Licensed
Good review and pics, as always! I did notice, though, that you said some of these characters weren't in the movie, like Black Canary and Apache Chief. They were all in there; those heroes were in the Fortress of Solitude partying. -

Orca seems plausible. They'll probably have several "aquatic" ability characters, like they have in the past, who can sink and walk around underwater. Killer Croc, Orca, Ocean Master, Black Manta, and so on, would all be logical choices. -
There's no way we won't get them. Lego made us wait so long for other desired figures, like a classic Justice League roster, so you know they're making Mad Hatter and the like extremely desirable to sell sets.

LEGO DC Villains (Videogame)

I'd wager that some, like Killer Moth or Captain Boomerang, will get their previous looks from sets that came out before the movie. I'd prefer a Penguin who isn't blue, for sure. And I suspect the characters like Harley Quinn and Joker will continue to keep their general appearances that they've had in-game since LB2, due to precedent. -
These games do mix things up to a greater degree than something like Call of Duty ever does.

I'm going to have to back you up on this one. While the basic level mechanics are always similar, the feel each game gives off is unique, and they're always throwing in tweaks to keep gameplay fresh. Lego Star Wars 3 has light real-time strategy elements. Batman 2 switched things up to introduce open-world sandboxes and dialogue. LOTR and The Hobbit have a very RPG feel to them, while Ninjago just essentially became an RPG with skill-upgrades and level procession. Undercover is GTA-esque, and a brilliant spoof of the Police and Crime genres. They all do a great job making things fun. I'm sure they will include Cheetah (since we just got a physical fig) and Ares at least. I personally hope to see Clayface return (since he was missing in LB3) as a bigfig; it was a truly missed opportunity not using him like that last time. -

This is the most hyped I have gotten about a game in such a long time, and they've not even released anything about it officially! WOO, HYPE TRAIN! -
Ooh, I would love the other Pixar characters! I want to see a minifig-scale Wall-e so badly!
-
I'd be fine with a big JP Visitor's Center, but I wouldn't be very likely to get sets for TLW or 3. I can't stand how hard they shilled the Spino, seeing as it would have been a weaker-jawed fish-eater. And yes, this irrational anti-bias would inform a buying decision. I'm unfortunately stubborn like that.
