    I'm really interested in this build. I've worked on the AW169 in the past and its really nice to see a model of something that I've had some (albeit small) contribution to designing.

    Is it recognisablecas a Mack Anthem ... yes. Is it a technic model ... yes. Is it a scale model ... no. Based on your logic and attention to detail, I assume you are still waiting to buy your first Technic set? ?

    It is a departure from the "pure" technic models that we're accustomed to, that's for sure. A sign of things to come maybe?

    Those 3L pins look to be inserted from the inside of the frame. I am currently in an email exchange with Lego regarding a similar issue with an assembly from an official set. I'm not getting very far with them, however. I'm working on the basis that Lego is a product that is designed to be built and disassembled without the need for additional tools (brick separators excluded). I assume that there will be replies to this thread that suggest knives and other tools to be used to pry out the axle with with stopper. I'm guessing that this method would not be published in an official Lego instruction manual :)

    The contests with size restrictions seem to offer the most even playing field.

    I really like the look of this concept. The steering looks interesting. Does it use a turntable?

    Try looking in the digital design forum. There is a topic listing all the official sets that have been modelled in LDD. It's called Official LEGO Sets made in LDD, I think.

    Many thanks @Jurss. I also found those two images. The challenge seems to be locating images that allow you to identify key features, such as pivot points and structural mounts.

    Have you managed to get a drawing / blue print of the maverick x3, to use with Sariel's scaling tool?

    I have had problems with the yellow connectors on the rear suspension of the 42000. I've not seen failures on any other build though.

    I like the look of this C-model. Has the lack of pins meant that you have had to compromise the rigidity in any way? Also, do you have an image of the pieces that haven't been used?

    I really like the sail boat. It's got the look of an Americas Cup vessel with the capstans.

    This was discussed recently in the General Parts Discussion Topic. Its used in the RC Race Buggy Steering Unit: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6282#T=P&C=11 I don't believe that it has a separate listing on Bricklink.
