  1. Wow, I have never seen a cottage built like that before. The swamp is really good as well. The main photo might look better as a 3/4 rather than a direct photo of the front of the MOC.
  2. Micro 4/3s cameras and lenses- the quest for taking better photos of my MOCs led to a second hobby! One of the most expensive hobbies on this list I think.
  3. Great model and interior, I am not sure about the lime green landscaping around the chapel though. With snow on the roof maybe it should have been white.
  4. Great job!
  5. Looking at the prizes, I think I have to enter.
  6. Great build, the pull out room idea is a much better way to show the interior than having the walls on a hinge or a removable roof. The tan in the first 3 photos is a little washed out though, I don't know what image editing program you use but a slight boost in saturation would really improve the images.
  7. Thanks everyone! Thanks, I used Adobe Lightroom to slightly boost the clarity and colours of the photo. I then applied a mask to the background, reducing highlights, whites, exposure, shadows, blacks and contrast by 100%. Getting the mask around the finer parts of the model can be quite time consuming though, it would probably be faster in Photoshop but I haven't learnt that piece of software yet.Edit: I should probably write a tutorial.
  8. I was meant to be sorting... I think I've nailed the photography now!
  9. Great build. I particularly like the low stone wall at the top of the platform.
  10. Amazing castle! I've never seen anything quite like it.
  11. Thanks! I really should have taken the time to add more detail to the street. I might rebuild it later with more texture, or I might just scatter some DK tan 1 x 2 plates around to give it a bit more of a worn feel. Thanks. Thanks.
  12. Thanks everyone. I do really need to get some of the Mixel joints. I thought someone else would do a dragon so I tried to beat them to it! Thanks.
  13. I had delays of about 24 hours last week but its all working fine now.
  14. Thanks everyone. I started with a tiled roof on all the buildings and then ran out of tiles.
  15. Thanks. I have made quite a few builds recently, More time = more MOCs. I will probably only make one more MOC this year though, a category C entry for the Frozen Beyond contest.
  16. Thanks. I thought that at first as well. If you read the fine print though; 'The attackers may be living, dead or some combination therof'.
  17. Merchants Street, Barqa | BrickCurve | Kaliphlin
  18. Merchants Street, Barqa was a bustling street full of traders, merchants and hawkers. Now, after the civil war the street is comparatively lifeless, with few customers. Many stores are slowly declining and some of the very smallest have closed for the immediate future, their proprietors and staff picking up what work they can elsewhere. The few exceptions to this are the purveyors of food, clothing and weapons. The arms trade however is now beginning to go into a decline now the civil war is ended, most of there trade is now with rich travellers from other guilds. This portion of the street contains the Merchants Hall, an Arms and Armour retailer and a purveyor of clothing. Thanks to Gideon for allowing me to build in his city.
  19. Thanks everyone! Thanks, I will remember that for next time.
  20. Ice Dragon http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=117904/ | BrickCurve | Kaliphlin
  21. In the far north of Mitgardia there exist a species of ice dragon, they originally helped keep the Algus at bay but the tables have now been turned and they are now being hunted by the Algus.
  22. Great build, the siege part doesn't seem to fit into the castle gate as well though. The wooden structure on top would probably have been either burnt down or damaged in the siege. Having walls on either side would improve it a lot I think.
