Guilds of Historica New Member Guide

Kaliphlin also has the wither woods, waterfalls, islands, volcanoes and even a snow topped mountain in the middle of a desert! Which huge bridge? -
Excellent job! The wall texturing and stain glass really help this model stand out fro the crowd! Also, nice touch with the cheese slope detailing in the floor. I think a tiled carpet might look nicer here- I am not sure. Hosting your pictures on Flickr instead of google is a must, you will gain a whole new audience for your MOCs that way.

Nice one! As others have said, the posing is excellent. The base is also a high light for me- I will have to steal borrow the technique for a future MOC...

C3-Lyssaris- "The Battle of Lyssaris"
BrickCurve replied to KevFett2011's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Looking good! Some thicker vegetation and tiles around the edge of the base would really improve it. You also need to work on your lighting for photography- the light is too strong and it makes parts of the MOC too bright and washed out. I recommend looking in the new photography section of general discussion. -
Nice one! I think a spire on the main dome would finish it off really nicely.

First 2016 LEGO Ideas Review - Guessing Game
BrickCurve replied to Robert8's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The rolling BB-8 stands quite a good chance in terms of sales , I would prefer the fishing shop, train station and gingerbread house. Imagine how good the fishing store would be for parts... -
Looks great! The detailing on the horses is excellent.

[MOC] The River Gate on the Mountain
BrickCurve replied to Vorkosigan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice one, I really like how you did the doors. I think the wooden platform on the right is a bit thick, if you made the legs of it higher and then made it only 2 plates thick. -
Looking good! Considering that it is not finalised, it is looking great. Some changes I think you should make before you properly finish it are; some more texture in the walls, (1 x 2 tiles, masonry profile bricks, vines and log bricks) and the main tower needs to be a bit taller judging from where the window is.

Looks, great, that broken wall with the flying rubble is perfect!

I wish I was going this year... Oh well, you will probably do something amazing for next year as well. Enjoying the project? If it wasn't for GoH, I don't know if I would have got into Lego community. Two years on and I've never looked back! New storyline and a chance to switch to Kaliphlin! -

Absolutely, and anyway, I don't think any of the builders would mind. -

That would be great! If you would like suggestions, Gideon Barqua springs to mind as well as Gabe's lecture theatre. -

I sent messages to quite a few people about a Kaliphin team for the summer joust before finally managed to get a team together, quite a few of the messages went unread, their recipients not being very active on EB anymore. On the other hand, I know for a fact that Dr Rod, Tazmaniac, Gabe, Si-MOCs and ISC intend to build for GoH again in the future, it comes down to being busy with other MOCs and themes. BoBS and Andromedas gates have caused quite a few people to build for there instead of GoH, not that that is a bad thing, but it does take time away from the guilds. -
What an impressive take on the category! I like how the entire from of the tower hinges out. Dos you think this would have been possible to build with real bricks?

Looks great! It is a nice cross between Kaliphlin architecture and the leaves on the roof for an Avalonian touch. Great job!
