That's why it's a "trial". It'll all make sense, in time.

Not bad. But, let's just say, there's a reason why the quest is rated level 40+ only. And there's a reason why little small print will read Of course, if you really want to prove that you're an ultimate warrior, you'll be welcome to try to beat the odds...Just keep in mind, there may be a little limit on how many times you can be K'O in battle before you (as an individual, not the whole group) are removed from the trial*... *It'll all make sense, in time...

You should definitely sign up for the third quest in my little planned trio. You want to challenge death? You'll be lucky if you can survive the coat closet*! *You know, I should think about having the first battle in a coat closet...I like it.

I imagine it roughly meaning "He who whispers with trees." The name Lind kind of reminded me of the linden tree, and it seemed to work. It also meshes well with the whole "I wander here from the Forest of the Blue Pools". Just for general reminder/reference, he's average human height, not short. Munchkin* is where he's from, not his species. *Munchkin - Munch(Of Muncie)kin(Child) - or, in better English, Child of Muncie, referencing their former village, which was torched during the Orc Wars.

Heroica RPG- Quest #103: Alfendi Lupine Strikes Again!
Lind Whisperer replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
In mid-spring, Lind watches as time seems to slow to a halt around him... What on earth was in those potions? Seriously, it's like time's come to a halt...Does anyone actually regulate what goes into those things? I mean, there's the Town Watch, but all they seem to be good at is talking...They're not even that regular at keeping people moving along, and that's their job...- 500 replies

Actually, that depends on how hard you play. My 2007-era chrome gold coins from Aqua Raiders II certainly got their full share of hard play, but they are still fully chromed.

Back then, I was still trying to stay "in-character." In-character, I wouldn't have a list like that, and we would all be in a room together. I had to adopt a bit of a "well, if we were in a forum" tone, because otherwise it sounded nothing like something someone would say. For somebody who claims to be town, you really seem to be trying to tear it apart. If you'd actually read my posts, I've been half-trying to defend you, since it seemed like there was a good chance that you might just be a bit over-eager(not to mention it seemed rather odd that a scum would make so many angry posts against other people. Hardly blending in at all...). You could still end up being town, and you very well may just be angry that you're the first lynchee, but you might want to look up the phrase "Don't verbally abuse the hands that are trying to type the chance that you're not scum."

I committed the "scummy*" act of using his profile log to check Pyrovisionary's last log-on time. OFFLINE Today, 04:55 PM Which translates to about 3:55 CST. Or, about 21:55 GMT**, if my numbers aren't off. *See Jamesn's post about my telling people how to check who else was online. **Double check this yourself if you want perfect accuracy.

Actually, you mean all of them regard Lind Whisperer. It's still technically accurate, but the way you're framing it suggests that there are other "trivial things" besides me mentioned. And, I guess there are perhaps two at the end, but still... I have no reason to defend this one. I was using it to track everyone who was reading, and I freely shared it. Well, that's just great. Might I mention the part where this isn't "your first time in mafia school as a scum"? Yes, I am aware that that will be the result. But, everyone else who has said they doubted your guilt will be in the same position. You're trying to throw dirt at more people than could possibly be scum. How the heck did I not see that...my bad. Like I've said, Mafia School. Although, still, my bad. I have thought long and hard about changing my vote back to Captain Settle. Do I still believe he might very well be scum? Yes. But after the way you've yelled, I've analyzed it mentally, removing all personal feelings, and I have decided that yes, you are the best choice for a lynching. My first lynch vote. And it's a boy! * Well, we'll see in the morning. Right now, it sounds a bit like a desperate last grab for a reason to stave off the lynching. If you are town, and you are a doctor, my apologies, but you really need to tone your messaging down. It comes off as too harsh. Also, even if you do survive the lynching through some last minute twist of votes, that's kind of guaranteeing that the SK(if there is one), will be targeting you tonight... *It seemed funny to me. It is meant as a simple joke, nothing more, nothing less.

Since it appears that Jamesn is tonight's victim, and there is no chance of Captain Settle being lynched, I am switching my vote for the following reason, and the following reason only: I still believe that Jamesn may be innocent, however since Captain Settle is not being lynched, I am allowing myself the chance to vote for him tomorrow. Morally, I am still voting for Captain Settle, and if the mechanics allowed it, I would let the vote stay, however I remembered in time that they don't and I'm not. Unvote: Captain Settle Vote: Jamesn

I have already said why I am not interested in voting for Jamesn. Also, I am not preventing the rest of the town from doing anything. I'm merely choosing to vote for the person who I consider to be the best candidate. Do I think Captain Settle will be lynched? No, but I am not going to change my vote simply because people disagree with it. Granted, it may not be the best personal action for the town, but there is certainly at least more than one person who is only voting for Duvors because back then he was the most popular candidate. You should have no trouble getting your tenth vote. That would be a great idea. I really wish I had thought of it back when I first posted that concept. Unfortunately, I didn't, and I'm not, nor would I have so much false bravado as to post a strategy I was in the process of committing.
-
What I was saying is that he has exhibited tendencies that could be interpreted as either being scum or not scum.
-
We're hardly at the last hour yet. You yourself said that Captain Settle is a better choice for a lynch. People have been logging on so often that it would be perfectly possible to get the necessary ten votes. Not to mention, enough people have already stated their belief that Jamesn is scum that I am sure you will not have any trouble finding a tenth. Nothing, I was merely taking note/reminding people of the fact that he hasn't made very many non-fluff aimed posts. Actually, if you flip backwards, I was more than ready to vote for Lord Duvors, until he posted a moderately fair defense. Granted, I could just be claiming that, but then again, there's no more proof of that one way than the other. Also, if I were scum, why exactly am I trying to point out Captain Settle here? The best way for a scum to go unnoticed is to rat out another scum. I'm not defending Jamesn, he has exhibited multiple facets of being scum and it's likely he will get lynched. I'm choosing not to vote for him not because of some hypothetical "team," but because I don't personally think that he's the best candidate for a day one.
-
I really like the looks of the Bunny Pack. Any estimates on cost? That looks more like $9.99 than $4.99, but you never know...maybe only $5.99?
-
As I already said, I have gone over the options, and I am beginning to suspect they both may be town. I do not want a lynch for no good reason. Goliath was drawing too much attention, even if he was town, and he wasn't playing to the betterment of the team as a whole. Lord Duvors and Jamesn have their own issues, but I have already explained my own feelings toward them. Captain Settle, as I said, has shown several indicators of being scum, and he has not responded to a single one of them, unlike the other two candidates, who have both defended themselves to a decent extent. Captain Settle thus far has stuck to being silent, and although his name has come up occasionally, no one has paid it much heed.

Vote: Captain Settle My reasoning on the current canidates: Lord Duvors: He was a bit fluffy at first, but he seems to have gotten back into the game. It could be that he realized that he was being called out, it could be that he just didn't have anything to contribute. I am not entirely convinced he's town, but I am convinced enough so that I do not choose to vote for him tonight. Jamesn: I understand the bandwagon against him, but I thought of something. He has at no point really tried to "hide from the crowd," nor really has he ever made "fluffy" posts. If anything, his posts are better at drawing attention than diverting it. He's an experienced player, with several completed games. Would an experienced scum really intentionally get into that many arguments? It could be done, but it seems more dangerous than not, with very few possible benefits. I am not entirely convinced he's town, but I am more willing to risk that he's not than that he is. Captain Settle: After considering everyone, Captain Settle came to the forefront. He's been called out multiple times for having mostly contributed fluff, and yet he still hasn't tried to defend himself or offer any justification for it, at any point, unlike every other person called on it. Richila has an overall lower post count, but she has contributed repeatedly. Look at his last quote: That's not contributing, that's repeating what everyone knows in a way that looks like something slightly new. I'm not sure that his "definitely say we lynch someone" is indicative of scum, but it certainly matches the profile of stirring the water without drawing attention.

Sure.

I can't make any promises, but I might be able to whip up something in LDraw and import it to Blender, that should work for what you're going for, at least until you have an official fig.
-
I made the last comment, so I don't really have anything to say that I haven't already said. After looking over all of the evidence, I am still not entirely sure as to whom would be the best choice. I believe that we may need a lynch, if only to see who has been arguing for whom rightly or wrongly, but I am not certain which person I believe to be the best scum candidate.

   Sorry. It's just that in-game, 103# is only supposed to have lasted a single night. And in real life, it's been 3+ months... No, quests aren't very fast to complete, unless they're a short quest. And by short, we're talking one month minimum.
-
I have to agree with you. That sort of thing might make sense later on in the game, to establish a solid footing for the remaining scum. But it would seem dramatically pointless for scum to try that this early in the game, when accusations are changing almost by the hour*. *I meant that as hyperbole, referencing how we have changed the bandwagon multiple times this far in Day 1, with quite a few hours to go.
