  1. That theory actually has some sound logic behind it. I'm not saying it's right or it's wrong, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Mencot has to say in rejoinder.
  2. "It sounds like we have a party, then."
  3. "Quite interested, yes."
  4. The door opens silently, a gentle breath of cool night air blowing past the cloaked figure. He walks quietly and quickly, but not with haste, rather instead with calm purpose. Around his shoulders is wrapped a gray cloak made of some fine foreign fur. He pauses in front of the questing board, studying the various scrolls and parchments tacked up. From some pocket deep inside his wraps, he pulls out a worn quill and scratches out a name onto the team sheet for the Fields of Glory. Lind Whisperer signs up for the Fields of Glory.
  5. Also, my Pillowcase of Jewelry is missing from my stats list? Either way, it's been a great trip. Unless there's a new development, I'm going to add the 100 gold reward to my inventory(subtracting the 50 that Lind owes Arthur). EDIT: Also, Alfendi's Cape (Provides immunity to fire, backwear, suitable for anyone) is missing. Lind handed a small purse of 50 gold to the majestic knight on his left. "Many thanks for your generosity, Master Knight. I hope someday we shall once more be of the same questing party." He turned back to Madame Akrone. "It was nothing, truly." The rogue gently lifted the tip of his cloak like he would have tipped a hat. "I made it my special priority to keep these safe, as I was certain that Lupine's furry rascals would find them most entertaining." Lind gave her the pillowcase full of jewelry, tipped his cloak to her again, and floated off into the dark night.
  6. Post #153 I had recently posted a possible scum theory that was a bit out there, and when I posted it, I said that I knew the idea sounded slightly unhinged. People agreed that it was a bit out there, and I agreed right back. I meant exactly what I said. People were becoming too comfortable pointing fingers at their favorite suspects, and I was reminding them that we don't actually know who is scum and who isn't until after they're dead, which can lead us quickly into danger if we suspect the wrong people. (For instance, Richilia. A few of us had suspicions, but no one really seemed to consider her a major threat.) I also was reminding people that by coming up with new theories frequently as the evidence changes, we lessen the risk of our only having a few slightly different views on who should be a suspect. Here I was warning against the dangers of going too far with new ideas. If we do nothing but make new theories, we will have trouble thinking to the best of our rational abilities. We should make just enough new theories so that we aren't stagnant, but not so many we get confused. And after I typed all of this, I realize that I just basically restated everything I said in only slightly different words... Was the original really that hard to understand? I thought it was fairly clear...
  7. Beard. (Not available in that color) Tabletop. (I'd need more reference images to try and determine the correct color, but this is the part.) The ten-gallon hat does not seem to be an existing part concurrently.
  8. Both Mostlytechnic and Scaevola struck me as being very good at reasoning, which is why I believe that they were targeted.
  9. Welcome to Eurobricks! That's a gorgeous ship you have there - I really like the shape of the body, you have some great techniques there! Looking to seeing more from you in the future! My apologies if the below translation does not sufficiently convey my meaning or muddles it, I was interested to see just how good a job Google Translate could call upon when used with a native speaker of a language. Добро пожаловать в Eurobricks! Это великолепный корабль у вас там - мне очень нравится форме тела, у вас есть отличные методы там! Хотите видеть больше от вас в будущем!
  10. Going over Mencot's list, I noticed two clusters of three that seemed like they had interesting timing. All three of these have been repeatedly brought up as possibly being scum. However, I doubt all the scum would vote this early on. The first two names have both come under suspicion, the first for being rather fluffy in his posts(something he still hasn't quite got over!), and the second for making some broad accusations during the first day(Of course, that could just be a player learning the rules). Granted, I could very easily be all wrong, but it's interesting timing none the less.
  11. I've actually been working from time to time on that exact idea. Bob de Quatre is working on his own project, but it is supposed to be more similar to SoNE than Heroica. Properly, I need to ask him first before I can officially start the project, but before that I need to ask Sandy if I can borrow his beautiful rules set from Heroica to modify and use... I just don't really have the spare time for it at the moment, so I haven't moved ahead much with it. Actually, possibly having one planet be Post Apoc has been a possibility for quite a while. Or several. A space fleet is also be a possibility, although it would only be a quest location. You couldn't fly them around.
  12. I agree. Let's stay on topic when it comes to computer debates. Chalk one up for potions. Of course, then again, I don't use ether...
  13. Vote: Stinky Dave I would like to be clear. Although his posts have at least proved that he can be an injurious person to town, I am still not entirely convinced he is scum. He seems to be shoving himself too much into everyone's view for an experienced scum player. He may very well turn out to be scum, or he may not. If I had the choice, I would abstain. Unfortunately, that is not possible, so since the lynch is almost certain, I am selecting him to cast my vote on so I do not incur an additional penalty tomorrow which might very well auto-lynch me, when you take into account the accidental edit. I would very much rather not join the lynch at the last moment, as that can be a mark of scum, however the chance of an auto-lynch forces me to.
  14. I don't suppose you'd care to slightly expound upon that extremely insightful response?
  15. If you could just post the text of the 103# ending, I'm sure Flipz and the others can figure out our correct stats and inventory on our own. It'd save a lot of time for all parties, and I'm 99.9998% positive that the rest of the group would be more than fine with it.
  16. You might be able to RP an excuse for changing race(perhaps something about how your species undergoes metamorphosis?), and I doubt people would take issue with your character deciding in-game to change his name, but base classes are forever*. You can't change 'em. *Unlike diamond engagement rings, which have only been a thing since the '30s.
  17. Thanks for the information! Always interesting to read these sorts of articles!
  18. If I forgot, and hit the Edit button, then it's my fault, and I'll take my licks/penalty*and be glad we're not far enough along so that it would auto-lynch me. I'm just surprised at myself that I did that, if I did... *It's only a one-day penalty, right? Or is it permanent? In which case...ouch...
  19. I misphrased what I meant to say. I wasn't trying to pick apart your logic. I was saying that it was interesting timing on your part to only start joining back in the conversation after Dave had been 9-voted...
  20. Only out of battle, unless you want to waste a turn. If by "gear," you mean what your character picture looks like, you're free to change that as you will. One. When you either complete the required amount of quests or you have reached the required level, you are allowed to create a second.
  21. How the heck did that happen? I responded, not edited... I was referring to your vote against Piratedave84.
  22. Interesting that you've only decided now, after the lynch has been made... *to comment/vote against him
  23. Of course, on the other hand, you have to be careful that you don't come up with too many new theories. If you do that, then you enter into crowd hysteria. The concept, is to keep the water gently stirred, but not so that it's sloshing over the rim.
  24. Like I said, slightly unhinged. I'm just trying to remind people not to feel too comfortable with anyone. No one's proven to be town until they're dead. Also, coming up with new theories helps keep us from falling into one view on everything.
