Hopefully we can get food puns out of all of the Toa, because these have been brilliant.

Ignore this, the editor decided to play up.

I can see them as wings, they even have the right shape. They'd just need a way to connect.Well, it the set doesn't have it as standard, it will when I'm done with it. Along with lime shells after I cannibalize the keetorange ones for my self MOC.

Anyone notice the dual-funtion weapons? Tahu: Two giant swords that form a lava board, as well as two shortswords. Kopaka: Lance and shield that splits into giant swords. Gali: Axe that becomes a shield and a spear. Pohatu: Feet additions that become thigh guards. All we need to see is if Lewa and Onua can do something similar, and we might be looking at confirmation of no Nuva revamps, since these sets have plenty of Nuva elements already.

That's Mega Bloks, I know what I saw in MNOG, the Bohrok Animations, and the movies.

I still have my upgrade of the set on my shelf. All I need to complete him is the cannon from the Defenders. I want this so much. Jaller and Matoro are basically my favourite Toa.

The fanfiction community better have burn heal! Okay, with the red and yellow blended Defender mask that looks like an Arthron and a gold movie-looking Hau, they want us to make Jaller revamps, don't they?

WHat I meant was that every set had its own identity, not that they've all been revamps.

Man, I should've made a bet. I knew that the moment the sets turned out to have their own identities rather than just being revamps of the original sets (You know, like basically every update of a character has been), people would start Oh-wunning.

That's quite simple. This: ... is why. Members of the Matoran species, in all their forms, rarely ever have "Human" proportions. They've nearly always had longer arms, and in some cases, wider shoulders. They had human proportions once, and the upgraded, more refined version of that build restored the longer arms. Long arms are the norm. Long arms are life.

I think you mean "Arm proportions like every Toa team except the Metru since 2001."

It's... so beautiful! Tahu: So. Damn. Hyped. Not going to lie, I like the new Hau more than the prototype. The prototype was the classic Hau with a mouth. This one feels like a Mask in its own right, and fits in better with the other new Kanohi. We've already got the Hau in red and in gold, twice over do we really need them again? This is Lego, it won't be hard to mod the set to use those parts. Pohatu: Love him. Looks like the arms can easily be swapped so that he has grey upper limbs and yellow lower ones on all four. Weapons look nice, we have trans yellow, and the best mask of the bunch. Gali: Looks nice. The Kaukau really is better every time I see it. Okay, she's not "feminine", but unlike, say, Hahli Inika, Gali Mistika, or Breez 2.0, I don't have any trouble accepting that she's a girl. Kopaka: Legs need work, but he has printed thighs! All in all, I think he looks kinda like a paladin, with the heavy armour, the lance, and the shield. A pretty solid set nonetheless. LOSS: Not going to lie... I'm not impressed. I'm not a technic builder, so trans technic has no pull for me. The face is still goofy, and ultimately... he's a parts pack, nothing more. He'd contribute nicely to a CCBS Teridax. Lewa: Not sure about his mask, but his body design is very nice. And he has Keetorange shells. Not sure if those alone justify a purchase, though.

Not sure if anyone's noticed, but Lewa's axes don't have handles, they have silver versions of the HF swords. So he can have his Nuva weapons too.

Still missing the Vorox, and rogue Glatorian. Also, removing references to death can be a good thing. Adding the death theme can make something become rather narmy. Take Yveltal in Pokemon, for example. THe name of it's signature move in Japan? Death Wing. Narm. THe name of its signature move after translation? Oblivion Wing. Now that's cool. I think this is the same. Lord of Skull Spiders sounds a bit silly. The Lord of Spiders? Reminds me of the Lord of Locusts in Bone. It actually sounds creepy.

Vorox. Strakk and Malum are also Glatorian. Enjoy! Anyway, Pohatu has a dagger. Combined with his boomerangs, can we confirm badass Australian Pohatu? I want Tahu so much now.

LOoks very nice. I probably won't see a 3/10/14 reveal, though. Smash Brothers 3DS drops then, so if my preorder arrives on time, I'll be a tad busy.

I'll be honest and say that I never kept a HF pouch. I cut the tops off and threw them away.

More than likely, since the molds were apparently buried under a car park.

What were your First and Last BIONICLE G1 Sets?
Lord-Vorahk replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Action Figures
It's a bit complicated as to who bought what and why, but... My first sets were Lehvak and Gahlok. I'd heard about Bionicle before, from an old friend, but he was... unpleasant, so I didn't get them. But then I got those two sets for my birthday. I wasn't too sure about them, I was more interested in the Robot Wars pullbacks I got. Still, I built them both... and I loved them. Pohatu Nuva followed soon after. The first sets I bought, though, were Tahnok-Kal, Hahli, Hewkii, and Matoro. Shortly after that, there was a birthday and christmas in short order, leading to an influx of Lewa Nuva, Pahrak-Kal, Nuhvok-Kal, three Rahkshi, a Boxor, Jaller and Gukko, and Takua and Pewku. And then I spent my money on Kohrak-Kal, Lehvak-Kal, Gahlok-Kal, Tahnok-Va, Lehvak-Va, and the Tarakava. The last retail sets I bought were Stars, like everyone else, it seems. In particular, I'd acquired Takanuva first, then Tahu, followed by Gresh, Rahkshi, and Nektann. I never got the Skrall. I didn't want to pay full price for what was basically a mutated Fero with a nice blade and a gold piece that's only useful in twos. After that, however... I may have acquired a complete set of Nuva and two Metru from a friend who didn't want them anymore. -
I'm torn between the Zamor and the Thornax.

Interesting ideas we're getting here. I just had one of my own: THe Pohatu Phantoka design would've been for Nuparu. Shoulder cannon? Like the Inika. Short stature? Like the Earth Toa of old. Giant-freaking propellers instead of more conventional flight methods? Just the sort of crazy-awesome thing that Nuparu would come up with. ANd they close into drills too! Lewa's build would be Hahli's. Kopaka's would be Jaller's, Onua's would be Matoro's, Gali's would be Kongu's (We've got to keep the theme of him having unfortunate Toa forms) and Tahu's would be Hewkii's. THe masks would probably be re-arranged, though.
-
Still, a mask with two connection points probably won't be viable for a knocking-off gimmick. Also, the more I look at Gali's new mask, the more it grows on me. My only problem with it is the Chin of Doom.

That was surreal... but like Aanchir said on the BZP thread, not sure if trolling or actually serious.
