  1. Where did you get those bricks in reddish brown? They aren’t listed on either a Brickset or Bricklink. I didn’t think they made them in that color.
  2. Fun little scene! At least the mailman can get the dog distracted by the ball being thrown so he can safely walk by. I like the construction of the face, it’s different from what is usually done at that scale. I know my eyes are deceiving me, but that dark red brick brick looks like reddish brown.
  3. Hear, hear. When you open yourself up to the world, you need to make sure you have thick skin.
  4. Nice. Faithful recreations. The Skystriker definitely needs that pop color, but other than getting custom stickers, not sure how you’d do it on those angled wings. The Rattler is fantastic.
  5. Right on. Looks really good with those colors. Now for all the other Mando helmets LEGO has done.
  6. Another nice entry! I love the cheese slope roof & a great use of the “City Pizza” sticker as the welcome mat. And the custom Sharpie artwork is impressive. That’s a steady hand!
  7. Those are some great details throughout the entire building. I especially like the ground floor, the half pyramid pieces are a nice touch.
  8. Yeah, I was glad to see it here. I don’t plan on getting that 4+ set & I may miss out on the Tuner Garage, so it’s nice seeing it in a more easily obtainable set. Odd though she doesn’t have the printed legs.
  9. I have it exterior showing. I’m going to put mine (exterior facing out)on the left side of the AT, since both walls are interior walls. So, walking through the open entry way, it would be there on the left.
  10. I saw that earlier. A pretty cool car & minifigs. I love that new mechanic torso. Kinda weird we’re getting a Ninjago Movie torso, but it’s a good one! $85 seems like a strange threshold...glad I didn’t get the Cloud Jet the other day now.
  11. I think AFOLs would lean more towards the water roll than the street. I’ve seen a number of town layouts that use something other than baseplates for water.
  12. Where? Certainly not here in the States yet...
  13. Yeah, it went quick. I saw it went the same way for the UK. We’re you able to back order it, so you at least have your place in line? I’m glad they still had the Easter set in stock, I had plans to go to the LEGO store before all of this stuff started. Figured I was gonna miss out on it.
  14. Digging all these new suits, but really bummed that they won’t line up right with the old ones thanks to these new helmets.
  15. 10273 Haunted House 853990 Easter Bunny House Almost added 80008 Cloud Jet on there too but figured I’d save it in case 40419 actually come see out on June 1st.
  16. They were available at the LEGO store last July as well. This will be the first time they haven’t been.
  17. If this hasn’t been answered yet...it looks like us in the States may have to wait for 40419. When I ordered 10273 I asked about the pack being able June 1st. They couldn’t find any information about it, even internally. While not concrete as it may not have hit the system yet(although doubtful), we may have to wait for the rest of the theme.
  18. Well, finally got it ordered..after waiting on the phone for about 45 minutes. since i still wasn’t able to add it to bag. During the call, deep in, it finally showed up(about 8:30AM)...but I stuck it out! Good to go. Now the possibly extra long, excruciating wait....the usual week makes me crazy impatient, no telling what this will do.
  19. I usually phone in my orders...but I can’t manage to order the House on the site. I’m signed in & everything. How do I go about ordering it?
  20. True about Rose...that does make this, and the few others, odd. BD Wong & Benedict Wong(no relation...I think) are okay either way I think, but looking at Kelly Tran,..it does make Cho’s color even stranger. Just another “mystery decision” made by LEGO I suppose. Ditto on getting Abbott. Minor or not, I like getting named characters instead of just “Generic student #2.”
  21. If they had made an Asian character’s “skin” the regular flesh color, I would imagine there would be finger pointing of “whitewashing” despite the actual skin tone of the character in question. That’s my assumption anyways. Do we have an official, or even a semi “I heard from that person who works at LEGO” of why they made Asians that darker color? I’m guessing to differentiate them from being white, since other defining characteristics aren’t a thing in LEGO.
  22. The set came under fire, despite being from a 40 year old movie, for being “racist” because the Palace resembled a religious building in Turkey and said since it was home Jabba, a villain, it portrayed negative stereotypes about Muslims. The set was pulled from shelves(which says was unrelated).
  23. I don’t like removing the hands either, so I get it. To take a slight left into outrage culture. I would wager they made Cho that color because of the criticism they’d undoubtedly get. Could you imagine the PR ire they’d get when the word got out that they have an Asian character looking like the other white characters? Race baiters would lose their mind. It would be Jabba’s Palace all over agin. I cant wait to get that pack, it looks fantastic. I’m not too bothered by Harry/Draco...of course Harry was coming, have we not accepted that yet? I don’t even really care about the reused face. It’s a slight bummer as it’s from the same theme. But TLG can’t possibly make a new print for every character they make. Since it wasn’t answered, I’ll ask again, is it a June 1st release for us in the States as well? Brickset didn’t specify, so I assume yes.
  24. Why would one set, out of hundreds, run you off? I imagine your tastes differ just as much as the the rest of us. I mean, you buy LEGO, so obviously they do. You’re not the only customer attracted to Ideas sets. One not doing “it” for you doesn’t hold much weight. I have a friend who went nuts with excitement at Barracuda Bay. There’s plenty of themes & sets that do nothing for me, but that doesn’t mean they’re objectively bad.
  25. Right? Not liking a theme is one thing, hoping for it to fail doesn’t help anyone. If this theme fails, they may be even more hesitant to go out on a limb for a bigger departure from their norm. Me too. What little we get of buildings in this first wave, I’m liking what I’m seeing. Some of that background art is really nice as well.
