  1. Definitely excited about this. Anything Harry Potter is more than welcome in my world.
  2. Anyone else watched Droid Tales? It has some great bits of LEGO & SW fan humor in it. The best came in the most recent episode,
  3. That's quite interesting. Please update us when you get the parts.
  4. Currently reading Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff. It's such a great laid out story, it really has to be seen to appreciate Kate it fully. It's not told in the traditional sense of words on pages in chapters. Its told through reports, interviews, surveillance reviews, IM's, & emails. It is a fantastically told story & a refreshing change of pace.
  5. Sounds like a cool series, right up my alley! But man! that is some serious gaps between books-1989, 1993, 2015- definitely going to check these out. Another great alien invasion read is The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. The second book, The Infinite Sea, & The Last Star comes out in May of next year. There's also Pierce Brown Red Rising Golden Son Morning Star James Dashner Eye of Minds The Rule of Thought The Game of Lives
  6. Figured Harry Potter was a given. I bought 1984 a few months back, but it keeps getting bumped down on my reading list because of other books I keep buying...
  7. Well, it looks like we may know what that planet is that Simmons was on...
  8. I did a little digging & didn't see this so thought I'd start one. Ernest Cline- Ready Player One Armada Jay Posey- Legends of the Duskwalker Series: Three Morningside Dawnbreaker
  9. Target exclusive minifigure box-for Superboy mostly(traded Bricktober Vintage Minifigure Collection) 3 Phase 1 clones, white armor
  10. Gah...me too. I have at each one. This movie is messing with my emotions! We're not alone, I've seen tons of comments saying the same. We're all a bunch of babies.
  11. So...the trailer! Two more bloody months...I don't remember the last time I was this excited for a movie.
  12. I gotta admit, this is a bit tiresome. Of course a company that is out to sell their products is going to target the most likely consumer. That's not a bad thing. It's certainly not on a toy company to teach kids about gender norms, that's the parents. It's also no surprise that a lot of themes have a male majority, as spies, knights, (dino) hunters, cops, firemen, soldiers, etc, as they are most predominant in those areas.
  13. Do we have confirmation of that statue polybag being the freebie(or at least being available) on January 1st? I plan on buying 10251 day one and really want that yellow bike. While I don't care if they're there or not, they are pretty neat. When I built 10246, I enjoyed the smuggling route of the prohibited candy. But now that it sits on a table in my town layout, it's just, eh.
  14. What's your thoughts on the decade in which Gotham is set? I'm guessing, judging by the cars it's 80's, maybe late 70's. Ms. Kringle has a 60's look, which leads me to believe its 70's. But, they have flip phones, which I'm sure weren't around in the 70's/80's...
  15. That's definitely something I've been thinking about. My park area currently has 10228 Haunted House as a part of it& would be a travesty to hide it in the middle of all the Modulars, so I'd have to replace it with something. The 31010 Creator Tree House would be a neat replacement. I really don't understand the building size being a negative to people. The parts count is up there with most of the others, so it's not like with the smaller building we are getting less for the money, it's just going into details instead. P,us, we need noticeable height difference in these buildings. It makes it feel more realistic.
  16. Another great model, I think the addition of the laundromat is hilarious. Most excited to see a departure from the usual corner building. I don't get all the gripes on the size of the building... I do get the wanting the most for your money, and now with the more detailed interiors were getting, of course that will include a lot of small parts that people are saying is "padding". As for the piece count, it is in lone with the others(recently). However, I'm not getting the slight price increase, without knowing what factors into the price entirely.
  17. Saw this yesterday & is basically my take on it as well. It was good, a bit boring at times(dozed off a few times...). On a positive note, Sean Bean's character did NOT die! Yay!
  18. Curious of people's opinion on the remaining shelf life of 10627 Defend the Batcave set. I haven't seen one in TRU for a few months & today saw just one at Target. Should I grab it now or should I have enough time to buy it later, say by the end of the year?
  19. 76034 The Batboat Harbor Pursuit As we all know, sometimes the vehicles in this theme are throw away, but the Batboat really is quite awesome. The design & look of it is great. 76034 The Batboat Harbor Pursuit As well know, the vehicles of this theme can be throwaway. But, I really think the Batboat is great-cool design & look.
  20. This little guy is just fantastic. He is such a blast to play around with. Best of all, minifigs are appropriately sized to be action figures for him. He is definitely up there in my top 5, right next to his new best friend, 10225 R2-D2.
  21. 76028 Darkseid Invasion
  22. The larger box size is a bit of a mystery to me as well. Smaller sets specifically, I got 60060 Auto Transporter, a relatively small set. The box was so fat. As for durability, I think they're fine. As long as you're not handling it with force or tossing it around, it stays pristine. Opening them without tearing isn't an issue I've encountered yet. The biggest gripe with the OP that gets me is the instructions. Clearly, TLG had there reasons for doing them the way they do now, but it seems odd to me. The steps are just ridiculously small, even for kids I imagine.
  23. What I'd like to see would be the line of teller stalls along the back wall, then seating area with a few desks(for loans, new accounts, & such) placed, two on each side, around the perimeter of the seating area. Second floor would be divided(not necessarily 50/50), with a vault and office cubicles.
  24. Just got through building this. The new builds, for the roof particularly were better. As was the new technique for the tree. Finally got myself some roller skates too, which was nice. The printed sign is neat also. Overall, not a bad rehash. New prints are great. Once I break this down I'm taking the female carolers cape(black with red inside) & give it to minifig Grevious.
