  1. Ooh, jealous of IMAX, I'm trying to talk a couple friends into going. Fingers crossed. I'm giving it a few days, going on the following Tuedsay, not keen on bigger crowds anymore...
  2. That's plausible. After reading that, the show definitely looks to be heading in that direction, given the last episode. How about that Apocalypse trailer?
  3. Ah yes, that could be. Although we don't know if Lex used his whole body & transformed Zod or just used his DNA, I was told by a crazed Superman fanatic that is how Doomsday was created, using Kryptonian DNA. But if he did in fact use all of Zod, that could certainly explain the eye beams.
  4. Reading The Aeronaut's Windlass by Jim Butcher. It's a pirate, fantasy, techy-sort of steampunk-esque- adventure story. About half way through and really enjoying it.
  5. Comics is my other big money drainer. The only bad part about collecting comics is it takes away from LEGO. I dabble in Funko Pop! As well. Then there's Sci-fi/fantasy books, namely Warhammer 40K Space Marines.
  6. I got the "that's LEGO?!" line when I had 10210 Imperial Flagship out or everyone to see. What I imagine those who aren't aware of what they really offer these days to think LEGO is a box of primary colored bricks with black & white thrown in. I haven't bright anyone into the light just yet...but I believe I've made some appreciate it more than they have before.
  7. Right handed. I've tried to teach my left hand to write many years ago...it looks like a toddler wrote it, but it's legible. So, I'm sort of ambidextrous...although, not really.
  8. I'm in the camp of it being Ego. It can manifest into human form. It would be an obscure but cool character for the show, so I could see them doing it.
  9. What's peoples opinion of the monster were assuming is Doomsday could be Wraith? I've heard a few mention this. I believe it comes from the eye blasts he did in the trailer, which as far as I know, Doomsday doesn't do...
  10. 60128 Police Pursuit Went in hoping to find 60117 Van & Caravan, the new van looks great. I really gotta stop with the impulse buys...but the new cop car...and I got the torch piece now.
  11. I hope he doesn't either. I've always liked him.
  12. Boy, that Supergirl ending...
  13. Admittedly, when I saw the initial artwork of it, I didn't really like all the red. But now that I've read the books & seen more of it, I like it too. Thanks for ruining the surprise of next issue! (my impression of DC fans over Doomsday reveal)
  14. Finally bit the bullet on 5002145 Rocket Raccoon from my local third party store. Glad I did, the printing is great-arm AND leg printing! Bought a few odds & ends as well for the city. I now have a full block of sidewalks, sans Modulars.
  15. It looks a lot like his new suit in the 'Invincible Iron Man' comic that's out now. It could be a 'gift' from Fury. We know he's sided with Cap & Falcon. I'm sure he still has plenty of contacts What I'm most curious about, is how does Stark convince Black Widow to his side? She was all about Fury, Rogers, & Wilson in WS...
  16. I'm puzzled by the Wonder Woman body type as well. Lynda Carter was smaller than Gadot. Wonder Woman in the comics isn't even big...I don't know what people are expecting. This too. How does a 2 and a half minute commercial ruin a 2+ hour movie? So they showed Doomsday, big deal. Sure, it would've been better for the movie going experience as a surprise, but there it is. We don't even know what his role is or how the fight goes down. Same with Wonder Woman, we saw her appear around dirt. Don't know when, why, how, what. I understand we as comic fans tend to overreact with the characters we love, but this is a bit ridiculous. It's like people were complaining about not seeing Spider-Man in the Civil War trailer...it would be a Doomsday all over again. Not to mention we're supposed to be seeing Aquaman & Cyborg(this may still be rumor), & maybe more, introduced in this movie. To the general movie goer who enjoys these movies, but don't lay pay attention to comics, that's a lot of characters to keep track of.
  17. I can definitely see how you associated the two, in regards to Ideas. I'm a day one purchaser if really just the Modulars, but that's solely because those are my first & foremost favorite theme. I did buy 21302 Big Bang Theory day one, because I love the show & the set. I do own 21103 Delorean & 21108 Ecto-1, buying both well after the release date. In a way, if you want one of the first batches of an Ideas set, then yes, it would be like buying tickets. Biggest difference is once the first batch of sets are gone, there's a very good chance of another batch coming. Whereas tickets, not so much.
  18. I gotta agree with fred67. I'm only one persons opinion, but every specific fig listed in this thread I have & have checked. No cracks. I've never had issues like the ones listed. I guess I've just been one of the fortunate ones. It's hard to believe that figs just magically cracked out of nowhere...
  19. Without a doubt Star Wars. Even more now that we're supposedly getting a Civil Wat trailer(and Age of Apocalypse too, it seems?). Any & all comic books movies always get me excited. Hateful Eight & Fantastic Beasts are up there also. Especially the latter, anything Harry Potter is greatly welcomed & I'm excited to see which familiar faces we might see.
  20. Spectre as well. I really enjoyed Bautistas performance quite a bit. His silence added something menacing to him.
  21. Just checked my Ghostbusters figs/stand, all is fine. Could it have been a bad batch from the factory, in the above case? Is there any way to narrow things down...try to get at least an idea of where/when the figs were made.
  22. This is certainly some bummer news to hear, but I'm not so sure it's a point against TLG nor should you lose faith. Looking at it from TLGs perspective, I'm sure they can't, & other than your word, you likely can't either, prove that it wasn't you that ordered said parts, which is unfortunate. But, that's the way it goes sometimes with online activity. That is my guess on why you're still blacklisted. Because there's just no real way to prove that it was someone else who abused the system, some they were all placed using your account. Perhaps there is some extensive digging that could be done to point them, & you, in a better direction to deal with the issue, I'm not sure. You may need the patience of a Jedi to deal with it, as customer service can be a mess-but TLG seems to be rather pleasant. By phone, that is.
  23. A few questions...how severe are the cracks, how long have you had the figs before you noticed the cracks, where are the cracks, & how did you have them kept(displayed out or put away in containers)? I ask because I have had mine on a table since the day i got them, which is a couple of months.
  24. I don't see oils being a culprit in this. This is a toy were talking about. Most notably in the hands of grubby little kid hands. I'm sure with all the research TLG does, they would take oils into account. Something that is meant to, and encouraged to the highest degree by TLG, be played with. Perhaps we need a bit of a poll of specific figures, like the few Captin Nemo mentioned, & see who all has problems & how they keep them stored. To maybe get an idea of how bad the cracking actually is among figs. Take Black Manta, Juniors Grren Goblin, & Scarlet Witch. All of mine are fine. I keep them in a plastic container with all other figs from the same theme-DC with DC, vice versa.
  25. I got a bit worried reading these comments. I checked what was specified in here, and I seem to be unscathed. Figs on. Ike's, 3, are all fine. They've been on the. Ike's for a few years now also. I also checked my Black Manta, Scarlet Witch, Grren Goblin Juniors, & Iron Man. Nothing. I did notice when I pushed the arms up as high as they would go with a head attached that were seam lines, that could appear to be hairline cracks. But I checked many other figs, they have the lines. Sounds like an extreme case of bad luck, Captain Nemo.
