  1. I can't find anything about this. Nothing on Google or Bricklink. I can only guess this was an Equifax promo that somehow doesn't exist on the internet so maybe it's some guarded secret or local only promotion.
  2. Damn. I may just have to ask. Is there an actual release date?
  3. Can't find anything using the UPC. The DCPI is the same one from this image: http://www.thebrickf...g-up-at-target/ This brings up: LEGO Minifigures May Series (1Display of 6100804=60 Total Bags of 71009) This is the Simpsons Series not Series 15(Series 15 is 71011). So unless they are going to use the same DCPI then it doesn't help.
  4. Do you know the DCPi number or the UPC? The only image I've been able to find was a the one from Brickfan but they have the label from The Simpsons series which doesn't help me.
  5. So they are basically Legos but a slight variation on it that makes them even more block like? Edit: Also I assume since he was trying to make a building from them that they are going to be more meant for architecture then anything else?
  6. None of this is surprising. If there is a way to make money, people will do it and this includes criminals. With as popular as Lego is right now and what it's selling for, this becomes a perfect target for criminals.
  7. I still can't figure out what these are. Are they just smaller version of Legos? What makes them special(other then the connection to TLG)?
  8. This is incredible. What makes up the internal frame? Is it all Lego or is there an artificial frame(only ask because most big models I see have a metal frame or something of the sort which is a bit less impressive to me but understandable)?
  9. This is amazing. The attention to detail is astounding. I don't know if you visit the r/lego on Reddit, but if you do you should enter it in their current competition which is to recreate a famous scene from a movie, tv show, or video game.
  10. Eh. Maybe it's just the quality of the pictures but I'm not really liking the look of these sets. 1st set: - The spider is not proportional. Here is an in game image for comparison: http://fc05.devianta...fox-d64wn0u.png - The graphics are just odd. I mean given the block nature of Minecraft, why not just keep the same pixelated graphics? The Minifigs and TNT graphics make no sense and just look weird: Zombie: TNT: - I will leave the fact of it being hard to differentiate Cobblestone from Gravel alone given the limited Gray palette Lego has. I guess that is where imagination comes in. - The Obsidian is off. Coal is gray with small bits of black in block form in Minecraft but given Obsidian is like a blackish purple, it might work. Image for comparison: - Water and lava are fine. - Chest is fine. I like the idea of bread given it's a pretty common food item. - Bread makes sense given the in game icon and the Lego piece both look like French Loafs(albeit smaller in Minecraft). - The tiles that make up the grass blocks make no sense. Why not just keep them be 2x2 plate? Same with whatever that Cobble/Gravel or Gravel/Cobble combo is. - Proportions of everything is off. Usually water and Lava mixing like that to make Obsidian only occurs in ravines or deep in caves. Though given Minecraft's world generation anything is possible. I guess you could imagine this as a player built area as well. EDIT: Actually, it's possible this could be the bottom of a ravine but still not sure about the proportion of this. - There is not a single Pickaxe with a silver handle unless it's a custom one. The one pictured would be a Iron Pickaxe on top. 2nd set: - I like the trees and the way a Birch Tree is portrayed. - Not sure what that brick and tile next to the Minifig is supposed to portray. - THEY FINALLY USE THE PIXELATED PATTERN ON THE COW? WHY NOT THE REST?! - Skeleton Minifig applies to the above set. - The Pumpkin I shockingly like the simplicity of. - Loving that Stone Brick block! - The animal pen makes no sense. Here is a typical Minecraft pen: - The landscaping is odd underneath unless this image Photoshopped it out. - Everything else looks fine. Edit: Yes I've played a lot of Minecraft, mainly on the Xbox 360. So I'm being very picky about this.

  12. My 2nd and final entry to this contest: A.U.T.T. - Automated Traffic Turtle: In Lego City, these Turtles are dispatched when ever a traffic signal goes down. Rather then relying on police or treating it as a 4 way stop, these turtles can be dispatched quickly to control the flow of traffic at the downed intersection. The Turtle is equipped with a standard set of traffic signals as well as 2 sides meant for stopping only so to allow tighter control. The turtle also has a set of blue lights for emergency vehicles that have the power to override the A.U.T.T. (the white slope is what captures the override and commands the blue lights to activate). The turtle's turn signals serve a dual function in that they are also solar panels so they can be dispatched in any scenario. There main mode of transport is by hovering so they can go over any terrain. Here is the backside
  13. I did know on average it's about 10 cents a piece. Though that is just looking at the cost of the set vs number of pieces. No where is it mentioned the design and the whole production of the set. For example, cost of the plastic.
  14. http://www.ebay.com/...nikitty&_sop=15 This is the pricing on Ebay with Buy It Now & Price + Shipping: lowest first set. $95... No. Edit: http://www.ebay.com/...nc&LH_Auction=1 Change the setting to Auction. Your better off trying your hand at winning an auction. http://www.ebay.com/...unikitty&_sop=1 But not by much as these are what they get up to when they end.
  15. As a fan of the show as a kid, I am so glad I decided to look at this topic. I hope you are able to build this in real life. My only concern would be being able to get the parts you need in the colors you used.
  16. I actually never thought of that. It fits perfectly when I do that. So I can leave it as it is! Horray! =)
  17. How hard a rule is the no overhang part? I just realized mine has maybe hair of overhang on one end. I can do one of 2 things to rectify this but if it is allowed I'd like to keep my picture how it is. EDIT: Can someone tell me if this is little amount of overhang will be ok?
  18. Thought it was supposed to be $14.99. Shocked to see it got bumped up to $20 which is a bit pricey for what you get.
  19. These 2 connections are just stupid: http://imgur.com/r/lego/1V32q83. This picture is also a great fix though can be accomplished with a Bar 3L piece instead of cutting Lego.
  20. This is pretty amazing. Love the use of Lego Friends as well. All your missing is some Skittles, lol. If I had one criticism, it would be I'm not a fan of the water technique but that is more of personal preference(much prefer using piles of 1x1 studs).
  21. Decided to modify set 21110 Research Institute. The vignette's were great but not so great for displaying. Chemist Modification - Added a 6x2 plate. Placed Lab drawers part on top and then 6 flat tiles on the rest of it. Rest matches box art except placement of Minifig. Didn't have parts to add 1x1 plate nicely: Paleontologist Modification - Started as a 6x6 plate with Microscope and Minifig being separate. Added on another 4 studs. Put Microscope in corner as well as added flat tiles: Astronomer Modification - Added a 1x1 plate to hold Minifig: Astronomer Modification with Minfig:
  22. Hard to say. Perhaps it's not as popular as we all thought. Could also be Lego made more because they were expecting this huge rush and since there isn't, it is not sold out yet. Either way everyone seems to be getting one one way or the other.
  23. Just got mine from the Gurnee,IL location. Walked in and out. No line. Also picked up Research Institute and now have $5 in rewards to spend. :)
  24. Currently at the Gurnee,IL location. No line so far which is odd. Perhaps my location isn't as well known to the AFOL community like I have heard before?
  25. So we get both if we spend $100? There is a few on Ebay for less.
