http://brickset.com/...ealed!#comments Lego Ideas Blog link: https://ideas.lego.com/blogs/blog Officially revealed! The design they went with compared to the original overall is pretty amazing though I do have a few concerns, mainly from part choices. Overall though they did a fantastic job and I will be buying this day one. EDIT: Didn't realize this had to be posted here. Figured it would get it's own thread. Also made sure these links weren't posted twice so I'll leave this post as it is now.

LEGO Ideas: 21110 Research Institute/Female Minifigure Set
Tech Artist replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Town
Given the complexity of the design and the fact they had to have a big meeting to discuss it, probably not for a long time. It may get shelved to if they can't come up with a design. These last 2 sets were easy in comparison. -

Lego Series 1 Circus clown and other series question
Tech Artist replied to Chris1594's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Because Series 1 is quite rare and contains I think the more desirable characters of the line like the Zombie. Bricklink Clown Prices: http://www.bricklink...sp?itemID=93036 Full box of 60: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=93587 -
Saw a post on Reddit about Horses on the PAB wall recently: http://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/299lpn/got_8_horses_in_my_pab_cup_today/ I'm hoping this becomes a US thing. Would love to get a ton of Horses and start some sort of army or perhaps make a epic Stage Coach with a ton of horses.

LEGO Ideas: 21110 Research Institute/Female Minifigure Set

This is a neat little set that could build upon itself. Could easily see this being a bigger line with perhaps a modular museum and science lab. Also, waiting to see the 1st mod of the science lab in to Breaking Bad. -
My store is Gurnee. A little bit north of you. Good to see a fellow Illinoisan here! =) My local wall currently has some pretty good parts. They have a TON of tile pieces(both 2x2 an 1x2) which I mainly stocked up on Gray 2x2 Tiles. They surprisingly have a huge stock of the Brick 1x1 with Studs on 4 Sides(or as I like to call it, The SNOT Brick) in black. Something I've been wanting to get a stockpile on for a while. I will probably go back there just to fill up a small cup with that part and more Gray Tiles. There was also a good selection of wheel bearing plates. And of course a large selection of basic pieces.

People like you continue to amaze me that you can take square bricks and make organic curves with them. The detail and precision in building this is astounding. Do you have plans to make the rest of your clan?

This is amazing MOC(the Snack Bar)! I love all the details and it is truly a great re-imagining of this. I would send this to Lego and/or put it on Lego Ideas. It would make a fantastic set and I know I'd purchase one. Would you mind releasing instructions if you don't want to pursue the above idea?

This is easily my 2nd favorite set next to 6348 Surveillance Squad. It was my 1st Lego set and that will always hold a special place in my heart. It's sad the set I have now is not my original as those pieces were mostly lost over the course of my childhood(bought my current one on Bricklink for $20). This was such a great build with a ton of amazing techniques and pieces I've never used. My only gripes were the printing of manual, the colors were too dark for being on a black background. The 2nd(which has the issues from the 1st gripe), was the building of the Minifig's Proton Packs got really confusing when it came to the wand(?) part of the pack, mainly rotating it. I also had an issue with getting the end of the Whip Bent piece in to the Clip Light piece.

Yup! Go here: http://www.reddit.com/r/lego Me and my brother fought a lot. Legos were one of the heated items but eventually we decided he gets to keep the KNEX and I get the Legos which I'm perfectly ok with. We actually do better living apart and seeing each other for short periods of time. I really want to go. I am gonna try my best to. Looks like tons of fun!

Hate to bump such an old thread, but I feel I had to share my find recently: http://imgur.com/gallery/8H0nT Found this car recently sitting on one of my parents bookshelves without realizing it was Lego. I thought it was just some random car and never paid any attention to it till today. I do not remember ever getting this but I must have at some point in 09'(always did like free toys in cereal!).

This was my 1st and only PAB visit so far from 2 months ago(need to make another soon as my piece selection is not great): http://imgur.com/a/q2gps?gallery#0 Final Total: 1,120 pieces Also, I did this with my Round 1x1 Trans-Blue pieces: Emmet doesn't swim well.

Practise Posting Here!
Tech Artist replied to Pandora's topic in New Member Section - PLEASE READ BEFORE STARTING!
New guy here. Already made a few posts in the forums as well as my 1st post being in the New Member section. So, is the misspelling of Practice more of a joke rather than a mistake? -
That Delorean looks way better then the official Lego set. If that was the official set, I'd likely own it. How did you create the base plate graphic?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
Tech Artist replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes. It looks like a typical USB drive with a switch instead of a cap. You can see the what it's hanging from connected to his belt as well. Also, are the insides of his pockets showing? Plus, the controller is just weird. I don't why they wouldn't just make a new piece but perhaps it kept the cost down. I'm still going to get him though being a big gamer like I am. Perhaps I can find a custom Lego piece to replace that 1x2 plate that is his controller. I also want to see this Pizza Delivery guy. This should make the community happy as it is another worker they can add to their towns! I just hope he isn't as bland looking as the Gamer is. Edit: I was hoping to see something from the Dino Island Adventures Theme then then I saw the female character and was disappointed.- 1,109 replies

Hello everyone. My name is Chris. I go by the user name Tech Artist(if any of you are from the former High Impact Halo, you will recognize me and if you are, please let me know!). I have been a fan of Lego ever since I was a small child. Growing up it was one of my favorite toys and I even fought with my brother on my occasions for control of them(we shared them growing up). After coming back from college I lost interest in it(more like I kinda forgot about it) for some reason. Then once I saw the Lego Movie it re-kindled my love for the bricks and I've been hard into it ever since. I've bought many models and recently have been getting into building MOCs(which I've found much funner to build though my parts selection isn't great ). I lurked on the Lego subreddit for a while then found this site and lurked here. I joined the Lego subreddit(been posting there for a while under the name 7echArtist) and continued to lurk here. I finally decided to join here after a little while and am looking forward to my stay here! I'll definitely be posting some of the stuff I've made that I posted over there as well as any new stuff. I look forward to your comments and critiques. If there is one thing I've really liked about this site so far, it's White Fang's reviews and the incredible MOCs I've seen posted on the main page. Truly amazing work! Besides Lego, my interests include video games, television, Graphic Design, printing, and photography. I have been a Graphic Designer for a while but recently have decided to focus my career path more towards photography and printing. Thank you for having me!
