Hey. Can you post a picture of the cover, so we are talking about the same thing? -
Missing Cover for RC Unit
DickesC replied to DickesC's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Or someone has a broken RC unit and doesn't need the cover anymore -
Hi I'm currently planing "a big one", where I will need 8 XL motors. So, i have to decide to use 4 LiPos + 4 V2 receivers, or i can take 2 RC units. So my question is, if one RC unit is able to power 4 XLs under torque? If i look at the motor comparions one XL has a stalled power of 1.8A, and one RC motor has 3.2A...

Selling copied MOCs
DickesC replied to Pat-Ard's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
At the moment I'm building a Leopard 2 which i think has 90% of the design from Sariel's Leo2. I do this because this thing is simply awesome But will i sell it? Never ever!! It took me hundreds of hours to build this beautiful thing in LDD just from the few pics he released And also hundreds of €€€ to get all the parts, especially the rare rims and modified tiles in the right color. So even if i will get let's say 2k or 3k € for it, it would never compensate my costs and above all my effort i spent on this realy nice model. So selling copied MOCs? I'm against it, even if you build it from scratch without some LDD files or instructions. -

Tank Turret Solution
DickesC replied to DickesC's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes, but that's the clue of the hole thing The green is fixed at the chassis, the red is fixed to the elevation worm gear. Now, if the turret rotates by the blue axle you get an equal rotation of the red and green gears above the turntable. They behave maybe like a planetary gear. And because the rotation of these is equal the top diff ist standing still. Or maybe i didn't understand yout problem -
Tank Turret Solution
DickesC replied to DickesC's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
No, it doesn't. Maybe you build it a little different than me. The differential inside the turntable isn't a differential in general. It is just the http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?q=6573 without the diff gears inside it. And the green axle is a 9M going through the whole diff. -
Tank Turret Solution

Please have a look at my lxf. It can not turn back the power to the green axle because this is attached to the chassis and will never move -

Oh yes, that's really simple -

Thanks If someone wants to build it and try it out, i've attached a .lxf of the solution i will use in my tank TankTurret.lxf -
Tank Turret Solution
DickesC replied to DickesC's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The axle on top does not work i think. You must have an axle which is moving at the same speed the turret rotates, so the gun leveling stands still. That was my biggest problem -

I don't realy know if your solution will eliminate the gun leveling problem. On which gear you will attach the gun leveling mechanism? -

From these pictures i can't really see what this is doing. Can you make a LDD of this? -

@Tommy: Yeah, try it. That was the smallest i could build @Lipko: I think this does not work. Have already tried that i think. Or can you make a picture of your solution?
