The Anacondrai cultists (to me, they're a separate group from the Serpentine) don't have a motorbike vehicle (unless I'm missing something), so you might want to change that "every" to "most" . The closest thing I suppose is the Anacondrai Crusher, but it doesn't really resemble a motorbike at all. It's actually quite a unique vehicle. If I had to compare it to any other Ninjago vehicle, I'd say it's quite close to Nuckal's ATV. Anyway... is anyone able to read the names off the top of all the boxes now we have the box art? Maybe now is the time to try and determine the number of unique Ghost characters.

I guess I'm not a "normal person" then since I only want Fangar but good point about the irrelevancy of the figures. But since there are no Targets in the UK, I'll probably end up importing a Fangar in from the US via a seller on BL, where the postage is almost as much as the figure , just like I did with Fire Chi Lavertus. Still, much cheaper than buying the figure from a seller based in my own country (I've seen some that had the last Target promo box for up to £70 a box). If the box isn't a Target promo, but instead exists as an SDCC offering (which can't be ruled out yet I suppose, but I think it's unlikely), I will never ever forgive LEGO

Thankyou very much - that's good news as that means I will only have to buy a spare original Crominus figure (or just the head and headpiece) to get Fire Chi Crominus. I had a spare Cragger so I already have Crominus' appropriate Fire CHI suit. Now to just decide whether I need to bother with the new version of Rinona or not. I'll probably end up BL'ing her anyway. Another questiion: has anything more been heard about with regards to this minifigure cube that has a "de-zombified" Fangar in it? I guess not, but I wonder if this cube will be the same in terms of availability as the last Target promotion? I guess it will be the last minifigure I get to fill on my Chima display board, given it may not release until Autumn/Fall (if ever).

Amazon's prices have been pretty much spot-on for as long as I've been using it, and for the most part these ones seem logical and correct. As for the images, they've lifted them off other sites for a long time (but sometimes, albeit relatively rarely, they're the first to publish them), so that's not really a reason to doubt their prices Remember how some reports in Bionicle's comeback wave stated the large Toa would be £18, then Amazon listed them at £15 - and Amazon's prices turned out to be the correct RRP? The same thinking I think applies to here - though the only thing that would really strike it as odd is it has a higher set number than the £60 Morro Dragon - and by that logic it should be £65 or £70... but it's not. It's apparently £40. But then the reported US prices don't follow this either ($70 Morro dragon, $60 Mech battle). I'm reading into this far too much I'll have to ask my friend who attended LTF again to say if the Amazon prices are correct I guess... but I don't think he'll remember given he hasn't got much interest in Ninjago. What's strange though - they don't list the Airjitzu flyers or Final Flight of Destiny's Bounty. The flyers I can understand, given Amazon hasn't really stocked any recent Speedorz in the UK, but Destiny's Bounty's omittance is puzzling. It's probably just an upload error or they just forgot, but if LEGO give it the same release pattern as Galaxy Squad's Galactic Titan (for some unknown reason it was released a month later than everything else in the UK), I won't be impressed. Especially as I want to get that set first so I can do some comparison pics

(2015) May The 4th Be With You Offers - Discussion thread!
TheOneVeyronian replied to Lobot's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'll probably pick up the Wookiee Gunship on the 2nd, that or maybe the TIE Advanced Prototype and a battlepack - depends what works out as being a better deal on the day while still getting me over the £50 SW merchandise threshold. Sure I can pick up the Gunship for £50 somewhere, but IMO, Yularen is more attractive - even more so if the gunship gets a 10% discount. Here's to wishful thinking The only other problem I have is in the shape of the Jurassic World sets. I just can't afford them all in one go along with the planned SW purchases -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
TheOneVeyronian replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't normally comment on these threads (but do read them with some interest), but I am in love with that Ant-Man set (Amazon.co.uk have it up for pre-order by the way - funnily enough using the confidential image). Everything about it is just perfect to me - especially the buildable LEGO bricks, as much as I would have liked to have seen statuettes of the minifigures also (but oh well, you can't have it all I guess) But there's something I've noticed with it, and I don't think anybody has even picked up on it yet. Notice how the yellow buildable LEGO plate is at an angle, with a 3x12 wedge plate and appears to have a life preserver attached to it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's actually a catapult, judging by the fact there is also a LEGO screw flying through the air in the box art. And it appears to have been launched by the ant crawling onto the giant buildable LEGO plate (of course, in real life, it would be operated by the human finger ) -
Amazon.co.uk have put up some of the new Ninjago sets for pre-ordering (they may add more), and with it, we have some idea of the GBP prices now, for those of us in the UK. It's also a strong indicator that the UK will see these in June, which I strongly suspected would happen. But I must ask: How on earth is the Titan Mech Battle only £39.99!? I'm surprised, for once the GBP price is actually favourable, and that's an excellent price for two Samurai Mech-sized mechs. The US price is $59.99 and that normally converts to £49.99 here But then again, it's not unknown, after all there's a $70 set in another theme that has a GBP price of £40, which released this year. Even considering relevant taxes, LEGO's conversion rates have gone completely crazy

Original Bionicle vs CCBS discussion
TheOneVeyronian replied to MakutaOfWar's topic in LEGO Action Figures
CCBS is by far my preferred system of building, but that's probably because I could never really get the hang of the G1 building system when it comes to MOC's. I could never make anything very coherent with the old system, and for me, most of what I build doesn't need all the piston-y greebles that the old system offered. I like the clean look and versatility of CCBS, which I've used to create everything from robots and mechs to organic creatures and almost everything else in between. Plus, all CCBS parts are generic and easy to use almost anywhere, that's the beauty of it. However, the old Bionicle system does have the advantage of being a more established system (in that it has more pieces to work with in more colours, not to mention more masks if you build things like Toa and Matoran), but the pieces I feel tend to be more specialised (try using something like a Piraka torso for anything other than a torso or part of a torso, in a way that looks good and purposeful. The CCBS torso bones are much easier to use in non-torso applications I think, such as in the head of this steed). The greebles in the old system are great if you want something to look visibly mechanical, or even to give it a steampunk sort of vibe if you're into that sort of thing, but ultimately, it's harder to MOC with than CCBS and to say some experience with Technic to build wholly in G1 style effectively is perhaps an understatement, especially when you want to go big. Needless to say, it will always be CCBS for me. This post has not just been a shameless plug for my MOC's by the way -
I don't know how I never noticed this before... but I just realised Aira's Pegasus Sleigh has a "Friends-ified" baby dragon in it. I love it! What is funny though is that last year, I joked wiith one of my friends about having a Friends friendly dragon and I actually drew what one would look like as a joke - little did I realise back then that it was to become an actual thing this year... even if it's not pink and doesn't have a bow in it's tail

Are these what you're looking for? The same site also has pictures of all the Airjitzu box art which I don't think has been seen yet? They look good, but I won't be buying the Airjitzu spinners. Nice find! It's always nice to have crystal clear high res pictures. I don't know what it is, but somehow I'm not such a big fan of the new armour add-on anymore. I think, weirdly perhaps, the rough 3d printed ones we saw at Toy Fair looked better. But I'll probably end up loving them when I've got them in my hand. Notice there's hands reaching out for the masks in all the pictures (aside from Grinder's for obvious reasons) - I wonder whose hands are those? The Toa's? Seems to me the Skull Army want the masks too, but I wonder why... Here's direct links to the images for easier viewing: Skull Warrior Skull Slicer Skull Basher Skull Scorpio Mask Maker vs Skull Grinder

I really like the design of the Chain Cycle (I see where it gets it's name from now ). I did not expect it to be a Ghost vehicle, and I love that we have a recolour for this part in spring green. I'm not mad on Jay Walker One, but I've always preferred the aesthetics of villain vehicles anyway, so it's really not a surprise. I'm also surprised neither of these sets contain any dragons (the Chain Cycle having a dragon motif doesn't count). I thought the Titan Mech Battle would be the only set without a dragon. For me, the Chain Cycle will be a definite purchase. I'll skip Jay Walker One.

Simpsons 2015 Rumors and Discussion
TheOneVeyronian replied to Sir Brickalot's topic in LEGO Licensed
I can't believe that all these stores in the US are putting the CMF's out on the shop floor only for people to be told that they can't be sold - what's the point of even putting them out? That's like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey and pulling it out of reach just as it was taking a bite... Same with putting the CMF's in CD cases, seems a little overkill to me, but I've seen it for myself in at least one case with some S11 figures, so that practice is not exclusive to the US... That said, I haven't seen any sign of them in the UK yet, not even in WHSmith (UK chain newsagent) which normally sells the CMF's before their street date. But I'm waiting until I'm next going to a LEGO Store anyway. EDIT: Apparently they've been spotted in Toymaster in the UK - shame I live nowhere near one- 1,195 replies

Interesting, just as I thought. I had the thought since while the MOC's I'd like to make instructions for have relatively low piece counts, but the parts they use have very complex geometry (like in this one for instance, which is wholly Technic and CCBS, and many of the parts are large). I have another project demanding my time at the moment, but I'll be sure to have a play around with the software at some point this week and report back. I have a 64-bit machine so I don't foresee too many problems until I try >1000 part MOC's like my Balrog

Awesome, good to know it's being worked on I'd also like to see full support for flex parts at some point, but that's not too important for me (I'm sure LDD Technic builders that work with flex pipes will want such support). And I second adding support for much larger models - some of mine get pretty big too. Does a part's size matter as well as part count when it comes to avalable memory? (i.e. does it handle models with 800 large parts like, for example, this one as well as it handles models with 800 small or average sized parts?) I was actually surprised to find my computer didn't even have Java installed (well, until now). I always assumed that was one of the pre-installed programs that came with many new computers
-
This looks really promising! I have been wanting to have an easy to use instruction generator for LDD for a long while, and this looks like the answer to my prayers. I could never figure out LPub, and I have used LIC to some success, but because you have to convert LDD files to files compatible with the LDraw library, they were always full of mistakes and missing parts. This software gets around those limitations for me, and I look forward to creating some proper instructions for especially my constraction creations (I could never find them in the LDraw libraries for some reason) with it in the future. May I ask if you plan on adding an undo/redo feature in a future update? That sort of feature is critically important to me as I often end up using such features when I'm unhappy with how something looks

What was the worst construction set?
TheOneVeyronian replied to Bigger Fish's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I was actually going to say mantis shrimp, I've seen enough of them when visiting aquariums... but didn't as, well, I personally see a LOT more praying mantis than mantis shrimp in Takadox... that and the mantis shrimp is a crustacean, a group that was already covered by Carapar. Anyway... Evo Walker wasn't absolutely terrible in my opinion - it did have a couple of interesting build techniques and it did come with 3 jumpers (the creature kind, not the thing you wear ), but the articulation in the back leg (compared to articulation in the rest) was quite poor. -
Jurassic World 2015 Rumors & Discussion
TheOneVeyronian replied to adotnamedstud's topic in LEGO Licensed
I honestly didn't know that . I knew I should have put Utahraptor instead of Megaraptor, I guess I was trying to think of dinosaurs more people might have actually heard of (I do know Brontosaurus isn't a real dinosaur though) Interesting indeed and not impossible at all - though you mention the Triceratops and somehow I think it's fairly unlikely that we'll get the moulded one in one of those expansion packs, due to the fact these packs are rather light on parts as is. Though it'd be undeniably cool if we got a few different dinosaurs in the expansion packs - it would be the only reason for me to buy the pricey Dimensions packs if they did. It'd be funny if we ended up getting an actual Gallimimus mould in these packs though- 1,412 replies

Jurassic World 2015 Rumors & Discussion
TheOneVeyronian replied to adotnamedstud's topic in LEGO Licensed
I can see LEGO doing a Prehistory theme in the future, but it will likely involve capture or conflict and probably feature vastly oversized Velociraptors without any feather printing, oh, and no herbivores Honestly, I've been wanting an accurately sized Velociraptor mould (around the size of the current LEGO dogs?) for a while, and ankylosaurids and perhaps even sauropods (though you'd need a mould even bigger than Smaug's to pull one of them off effectively) would be welcome and certainly recognisable to casual dinosaur fans. But really, I'm happy we're getting dinosaurs right now, even if some of them look nothing like the dinosaurs they're supposed to represent. I can always tag a different dinosaur to the mould (like how I consider LEGO's raptors to be Megaraptors).- 1,412 replies

What was the worst construction set?
TheOneVeyronian replied to Bigger Fish's topic in LEGO Action Figures
So did I. Ehlek was actually my first Barraki too, the thin design does make some sense given that he was referred to as "The Eel" (so, in that context, the back spikes don't make much sense ). By the way (warning: pedantic statement coming up ), the only Barraki that could be considered as a true mutant insect is Takadox, and honestly, I'm surprised nobody mentioned him and "stick-thin" in the same sentence, he's more of a stick than Ehlek (then again, I did consider the back spikes part of the body so...). But given he's based on a praying mantis (or whatever the underwater equivalent is) which are already stick-thin themselves, the stick-thin design makes an enormous amount of sense. Sorry, I'm a bit of a Barraki pedant -

Nice review again Just2Good. I think, between your's and Brickset's review of it, I've made up my mind on which one I will purchase first, and it'll be this one. I love the Dilophosaurus, the gyrosphere, and while I thought I could just leave the builds in the box, the jeep actually looks cool and looks like a great build. The blue crowbars are a neat recolour and a great NPU. Unless of course, a review of the Indominus Rex Breakout comes out before May and makes me change my mind again I agree, I feel exactly the same way, especially given some of the absurd GBP prices Oh, and in case anybody in the UK is interested, most of the sets are up on Amazon.co.uk (confirming the prices) and are orderable (but not in stock yet). No, don't ask me why the Hulkbuster set is in the search results for "LEGO Jurassic World", I don't know either- 1,412 replies

Star Wars Constraction 2015 Discussion
TheOneVeyronian replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I actually saw that on Amazon.co.uk (complete with rip-off pricing!) a whole half a day before Grievous got his grand reveal, while looking for Jurassic World set listings. I found it really funny when I saw it, then the Grievous figure was revealed the same day. Seemed like a weird coincidence I prefer the official Grievous though, though at least this one has a cape... -

TheOneVeyronian replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Thinking about it, I would have loved it if all the helmeted characters actually had removable helmets so you could reveal their faces (just like you can with minifigures), though I understand why LEGO didn't go down this route (the need to make new or recoloured headsculpts in a line that already is chock full of new prints, moulds and recolours would have probably pushed prices up even further) Having said that though, I don't think it would have impressed the human headsculpt haters that much -
Star Wars Constraction 2015 Discussion
TheOneVeyronian replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I do like your list, I also second the need for some alien characters and a Stormtrooper as well as the droids. I can't see Chewbacca working all that well in CCBS though (like you said), but if they did, I can see him giving us lots more Reddish Brown shells in new sizes (something only Ogrum and CHI Mungus as well as a couple of System sets have given us so far). A MagnaGuard would be quite good though - in ROTS, two are used as Grievous' bodyguards so to have a MagnaGuard set to go with Grievous in the future would be quite nice, but really unlikely, and on their own they would probably struggle to sell anyway as they're not the best known droids. Maybe I'll MOC one at some point. I quite like the human figures too, they are miles better than anything we got in Super Heroes in my opinion. Assuming Luke's and Obi-Wan's build are very similar, I can't see why you can't put Furno XL's cape on Luke if the back armour bothers people (in fact, I might do that). -
Star Wars Constraction 2015 Discussion
TheOneVeyronian replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Like Shakar, I'm also hoping that any future waves are not all Force Awakens-centric. I'd be okay with perhaps a hero and a villain from TFA (since this wave appears to be done in duelling pairs? Luke/Vader, Obi/Grievous, Cody/Jango, though I admit Cody/Jango is not the most logical pairing unlike the other two...), and maybe we can have another pairing from the OT and one from the PT. I'd personally like to see more droids (which seems the best fit for CCBS) in future waves: C-3PO, R2-D2, B1 Battle Droids, B2 "Super" Battle Droids, MagnaGuards, Droidekas (complete with rolling up function a little like the Bohrok had ) and so on. The only thing is - I reckon the main reason we haven't seen Threepio and Artoo is their lack of "conflict", so suddenly likely sounding candidates for CCBS treatment are suddenly unlikely - for that reason alone No, I don't consider Grievous a droid either, because he isn't one
