  1. Interesting. Even if they just saw a release online on S@H (I say this since it didn't sound like brand retail stores got them in their June shipment from what I gleaned talking to an employee), it would be better than not getting them at all. The robo-shark and the villain figures are in my sights again!
  2. I don't normally comment over on this forum, but just seeing it was Rayman (one of my favourite PS1 games which I remember fondly - including taking a year to finish the original to 100%), I just had to. Given the limitations of LEGO when working on a character with invisible limbs, I've got to say you did a superb job capturing the likeness of the characters Sure, the shapes aren't as round as they're supposed to be, but that's limitations of the LEGO medium as oopposed to anything else. They're brilliant! If you're doing (or have done - I haven't got time to check your Flickr, sorry!) any of the other characters in the Rayman world, I'd really love to see characters like Globox, Razorbeard and maybe even a Shell or a Plum for Rayman to ride on done in LEGO
  3. When did this appear? I wasn't able to find it in searches a few days ago, now it turns up But holy moly - £100? Looks like this might be the only set I'll initially buy now. That doesn't follow previous non-licensed set pricings in the UK at all, it really should have been £89.99 like most other Ninjago flagships. But if that price bracket has been reserved for City of Stiix (which I really like the look of - shame it will be a TRU exclusive as they rarely discount), then that would probably explain why Destiny's Bounty is more expensive... The cage in City of Stiix isn't heagonal, it's square But yeah, LEGO seems to love small, cramped, dangling prisons a lot now you mention it. It even appears in licensed sets!
  4. Yeah, appears to be Chrome overreacting about the download rather than my antivirus - just tried downloading it through Internet Explorer 11 (I forgot how awful that browser is with Eurobricks... it's why I ditched it and began using Chrome instead) and all was fine. I shall test it when I have a little more time to do LEGO-related stuff
  5. I just tried downloading the updated software, but Google Chrome (and possibly my powerful antivirus) stopped it's download and said it was potentially dangerous because it wasn't commonly downloaded. Is this just my browser/antivirus being overcautious or something, since this is the first time this has happened? It won't let me complete the download because of this, even though I trust the file enough Might have to try another browser...
  6. Yes, seems to be like that in part in the UK too. Though to be fair, most specialist toy retailers (TRU, Argos, possibly Smyths but haven't checked them) did get them on the shelves on time, but one major UK toy shop (The Entertainer) only today put out their Jurassic World stock - and they didn't even have everything (at least Indominus Rex was missing), neither did they put it with the other LEGO, but rather with the other JW merchandise. Ha ha - sorry I was being a bit sarcastic in my last post. I'm not really surprised, and was more taking the mick out of Amazon UK taking 2 pence off the price of Raptor Rampage and then calling it a discount Also, does anybody know why the T-Rex Tracker isn't popping up on Brickset's Amazon discount feed for the UK at all? It's on Amazon UK itself and all the other JW sets are there, just not that one. Makes it very hard to monitor it for discounts I might have to send an email to them to alert whoever keeps the useful tool up-to-date...
  7. Thirded the recommendation on Raptor Escape, especially if you're just interested in the raptors. I feel it's better value for money, it could even be considered a poor man's Indominus Rex Breakout given they're both sets focused on dinosaur pens. But you do ultimately miss out on the raptor's headgear (though if you really wanted them, you can get them from Bricklink). Raptor Rampage is just one of those rare sets that I'm very hesitant to purchase at full RRP. I'm waiting until it falls below 20% off RRP before biting, but, surprisingly, the best offer I can find on it is 2 pence off. What a saving...
  8. I like chrome Pohatu very much, almost makes me want to go out and buy a plastic chroming kit - but the nitpicker inside me really wants to go and put the boomerangs the right way round! I wonder what the other Toa would look like with chrome gold, gunmetal and silver in place of their metallic counterparts? I do have a couple of chromed CCBS shells and bones actually (purchased them off a professional parts chromer on Bricklink a while back for some princely sum) - enough to make a fully chromed arm but not much else. Certainly not anything to make that Pohatu illustrated above!
  9. Ah, so £39.99 is the correct price for the Titan Mech Battle! The Airjitzu sets, Master Wu Dragon and Blaster Bike still states 3-5 weeks delivery (via Amazon - marketplace sellers seem to have them), and still no sign of Destiny's Bounty anywhere. But, as tempting as it is, I'm a little angry at Amazon for pushing a set I bought that was in stock at time of purchase onto a long backorder so I don't really want to give them any more of my business yet. I will be waiting for them to pop up in LEGO Stores. I need funds to recuperate a little too
  10. Indominus Rex
  11. Well, I went to my local LEGO Store today and struck up a conversation with the supervisor (who knows me). I asked them about the new Ultra Agents sets and they didn't have a clue what they were. But it didn't sound like they were in their June shipment (which they already had, but not put out) but couldn't confirm they were cancelled either. It doesn't sound good though
  12. 44029 QUEEN Beast vs FURNO, EVO and STORMER - Theme: Hero Factory [Brickset][Bricklink] LXF file (LDD 4.3.8, Brickset 1564.2) Errors: Parts 15357 and 17657 not in LDD, whole head assembly replaced by custom assembly, as a result part 92234 cannot be attached to the model and is instead placed floating where it should be. The Warm Gold barbs are also positioned incorrectly, due to a collision error caused by the custom assembly. Part 15358 not in LDD, substituted with custom assembly. Part 98564 cannot be pushed in fully (in real life, the part would flex), this is to allow part 54821 to connect. Part 92338 cannot be attached at both ends. Missing decorations: Missing all stickers, and prints missing from 90639 (Met. Silver), 98138 (White), 98603 (Black), and correct head prints not in LDD, prints not replaced. (links go to appropriate printed part that should be in the model) Hopefully I can get to do some more over the next week or so - I have been busy with other things. But having everything to do these HF models except those crucial beast heads is starting to get annoying
  13. Been on a bit of a lucky streak recently I suppose: I got 10 great condition road baseplates for £5 at a boot sale last Sunday. 50p each. I also found 6 Protector Bionicle sets at various Tesco stores. Just £2.50 - 75% off. For that price I had to just get every single one that scanned at £2.50. All hail Tesco and their random secret nonsensical sales!
  14. The "glow in the dark" looking colour is Spring Yellowish Green, a colour that hasn't been used an awful lot up until this wave of Ninjago. It's sadly not a glow in the dark colour
  15. Yep, I think so too. As long as you can overlook the fact it doesn't have the famous "raptor claw". But either way, it's definitely not a Gallimimus But honestly? I'd like an accurately scaled Velociraptor, like this one I custom moulded myself recently (still a tad too big, but...):
  16. Well, it appears to be all rumours at the moment about Ultra Agents not being available in Europe. I guess we'll know once and for all on 1st June, but I am so hoping that the sets will be available in the UK. I'd even settle for them to be available in August instead, or for all the new parts in these sets to be available via Bricks and Pieces here (and no funny business labelling them as out of stock when they aren't either - like they did with the Chima harnesses...). For the latter, I did hear of people in the US being able to order parts exclusive to the CHima Fire/Ice sets, so the expectation isn't too far fetched. Well, one can hope - like many others here, I also want my robo-shark!
  17. Dilophosaurus is definitely a lot larger than Velociraptor (Velociraptor being about 1.8 metres long, barely a metre in height, I think Dilophosaurus averages 6 metres long and a bit over 2 metres tall, definitely a bit taller than the average human). No matter what way you look at it though, LEGO's Dilophosaurus is inaccurate to the real thing in terms of size. It should be a bit smaller. But then again, it's not as bad as the raptors (whch are commonly referred to as Velociraptors, even if LEGO avoids specifying the exact genus). The raptors are almost as big as LEGO's Triceratops. But that can be put down to the fact that popular media often exaggerates Velociraptor's size in order to heighten their threat level (or something like that). And don't get me started on the problems I have with the Coelophysis mould
  18. I think you hit the nail right on the head there. TLG have recently been on a roll with reusing moulds that we thought were retired (one only needs to look at Jurassic World sets, or the 8M shell, for confirmation of this), so honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they suddenly whipped out something like the Breakout torso mould or Drilldozer's torso armour again. I agree, the new shoulder armour is better for armouring slender characters. I already use the Breakout shoulder armour to add muscle and bulk to my muscular characters (my standard muscular character build uses between 5 and 7 of them!), and these new ones would be great for my slim characters (even if the current colours that part comes in are mostly useless to me). Come to think of it - Skull Scorpio's legs may well have been better in Silver Metallic anyway - to match the other Skull Villain's torso and "bone" bone pieces. And would have matched it's smaller counterpart as you mention.
  19. Oh yeah, I forgot it was in Darth Vader! I think the Round Shell Detail won't appear in Bionicle sets though so once Darth Vader is retired and we don't get a new constraction line/continuation of SW Constraction that uses them, it may get retired, but I guess you should never say never. If rumours are to be believed, then we should be seeing the leg armour at least next year, and I look forward to their possible inclusion. I wasn't one of those who thought G2 Bionicles didn't look detailed enough, I think they look perfectly fine the way they are.
  20. I'm still convinced they're Titanium Metallic (it'd fit better with their pseudo-mechanical appearance), but black would be welcome for those pieces too. I'm really not fussed. I'm looking at Scorpio right now, and the parts that can only be black (the Y joints, cup-cup bones and it's barbs) do appear darker than it's legs. Titanium Metallic looks more likely to me, but at the same time it could be a lighting trick and they are all black. Remember how Pohatu's bones appeared trans-yellow but actually turned out to be trans-neon green? Might be the same here. 1. Never gave it a thought, but now you mention it I'm curious too. 2. Yes please, I'd love that! I'd find some in black really useful, but we'll probably end up with gold instead . Given the Round Shell Detail piece (one of my favourite add-on pieces) isn't coming back anytime soon, looks like these will be their replacement (and they do look like Nuva shoulder pads - I just hope we don't get the sets we got this year next year, just with new pieces for armour just like we did in 2002) so I'd be suprised if they only appeared in Star Wars...
  21. I forgot about the Sea Cow (though pretty sure that was a $250 set, I was talking about $300+ ones), but that's probably because I don't pay a lot of attention to LEGO Movie related stuff. But valid point, that's probably the most comparable D2C to the Ninjago temple. I still think $200 is more likely, we can get a nice 2,000-2,500 piece temple with a generous supply of minifigs for that price point. Any higher price point and it'll either be overpriced or too big. Unless it has a large dragon(s) in it
