  1. Thanks for the pictures Ninja of Fire! Sheesh, that is an awful micro scale interpretation of the Morro Dragon. It looks almost nothing like it's big counterpart, neither in colour or in shape, just a generic microbuild dragon. I don't think I will be tripping head over heels to get the parts for this one, that's for sure. August is the release date for the temple. We're still over a month away from it's reveal given the press release comes 2-3 weeks before the release of the set. So 2nd week of July we'll have pictures, Im fairly sure of it.
  2. I've let a bit of a backlog of new stuff (to me) build up, so I'm currently listening to all of this: Mumford and Sons - Wilder Mind (album) The Vaccines - English Graffiti (album) Brandon Flowers - The Desired Effect (album) Bloc Party - A Weekend in the City (album) Fall Out Boy - From Under the Cork Tree (album) The Offspring - Splinter (album) The Chemical Brothers - Surrender (album) Hard-Fi - Stars of CCTV (album) Interpol - Antics (album) After I'm finished with that lot, it will probably be time to buy and listen to my most anticipated album of the year - Drones by Muse. Only 12 days until it's general release now, and if everything is as good on that album as "Dead Inside", the one song I've heard from it, it will easily be my favourite album of 2015 too
  3. Next Monday is 1st June, the scheduled release date of these sets in Europe. There's an extremely high chance that they'll all be out at the LEGO Store by then Also, all the high-res S@H images of the Ninjago sets are up on Brickset (possible exception of City of Stiix). The more I look at the Destiny's Bounty set, the more I want to get it over Stiix and the Morro Dragon. The ship looks like a great build, the dragon is satisfyingly menacing... what's not to love? And while I'm thinking about it, I noticed these listings for TRU Ninjago mini builds on Brickset. Anybody from Australia (where Brickset states these have taken place) been to these and got pictures of them or the instructions? I'm really interested in seeing the upcoming Morro Dragon mini build, but given I'm the other side of the world and it takes £1000 and 24 hours to travel to Australia, I don't think I can go to it
  4. I'm not sure if anybody else has noticed this, but one bug which I have complained about (the one where it kept returning to the main S@H page when browsing listings or doing BnP orders) appears to have been fixed... and now has been replaced with another bug. I always used to be perpetually logged into my VIP account (aside from after outages and other VIP account related problems), but over the last month or two, every new browsing session I start sees me logged out of my VIP account, despite me having selected "Remember Me" the last time I logged in (which worked in the past, it would keep me logged in until I chose to log out). I don't think it's Google Chrome (as I remain perpetually logged in everywhere else without problems), and my cookies don't clear after ending a browsing session, so there's really no reason for the logouts Note this is just my VIP login, I never get logged out of my LEGO ID weirdly... Unless of course, they have completely changed the meaning of "Remember Me" and possibly automatically log VIP accounts out for security reasons now. Ah, whatever, I think my S@H using days are limited now anyway, I'm almost completely put off ordering from there again aside from BnP (but even that I have complaints about, but there's really no substitute for it when it comes to stuff I like to order). In the last year I've had badly packed / crushed orders, stolen orders (okay, Yodel's fault, not LEGO's but that courier choice is another reason I'm turned off using S@H. Someone needs to tell it's drivers that leaving a parcel, often with hundreds of pounds worth of goods inside, in the middle of the garden path in plain view (not in my designated safe place) and without leaving a depot card is unacceptable! ), orders with tracking links that don't work, simple orders that have taken days to ship, website not working when I want to place an order on a set's release day etc... I prefer to make a trip to my local LEGO Store nowadays, which has precisely none of these problems plus you get to speak to friendly, passionate humans in person, which is a nice plus
  5. No, he also appears in Final Flight of Destiny's Bounty, just with a cape.
  6. You know, I'd go completely nuts over the Toa redone with all transparent bones, especially if they do some transparent torso bones and even heads so I can finally make a fully transparent CCBS figure. And in fact, this just gave me a thought: Trans-Clear is not really represented anywhere in the CCBS system, aside from some Brain Attack visors and a blend that inhabits the Protector of Stone's lightning bolt pieces. I'd really like to see some bones in clear someday, but it's probably never going to happen unless we somehow get the Toa fighting an invisible ghost wearing a suit of armour (I'll be honest, I would love such a set...)
  7. Thanks for those Aanchir, just what I was looking for. Time for me to start rearranging my Ninjago display with this information
  8. Could someone give me a full list of exactly what minifigures come in each set (and say if they are variants, like if their bottom is the new ghost piece or just legs)? I already know the Master Wu Dragon set has Wu, Cole, Soul Archer, Pitch and Hackler. I need to know since I'm getting all the sets one by one, and am trying to work out which characters have duplicates across the wave so I can sell or trade the dupes. No need to count Skreemers or the Airjitzu sets, I'm amassing an army of the former and ignoring the latter.
  9. It would certainly be interesting to see "Nuva" versions of the Toa next year, and I'd be especially interested to see how they would execute bringing back the same characters in new sets. Ideally I would want each character's motif to remain while at the same time have a different build to change it up a bit, make them look like upgraded versions or something along those lines. I could see them utilising some of the Star Wars shells actually. I would also hope that the next villain wave has some significantly different villains to the Skull Army (but obviously relevant). I don't think any of us want "Skull-kal" with exactly the same build, just with colour and printing tweaks now, do we? No dount we'll probably see some form of Makuta next year though.
  10. Oh yeah, thanks for pointing it out! The omission of Zane does seem very strange, but notice that Lloyd isn't in the picture either? All the other ninjas, Nya and Sensei Wu are, but not Zane or Lloyd. I think I can guess Lloyd's omission (it's nothing really spoilery - I think the Morro Dragon set has already spoiled it anyway! But I'll spoiler it just in case it is) And having a look at the pictures legozebra posted, I think it's safe to say the place in the artwork is definitely City of Stiix. And speaking of City of Stiix, thanks for the review ReZourceman! I think this set has just earned a place on my wanted list. Though I am not really sure if I'll end up picking up just some of the minifigures, given my severely limited budget... Yep, they are black. Sure, they still appear every so often (but nowhere near as much as the red ones), but it's always nice to get them I believe this is also the first instance of the flame pieces appearing in a single colour - and I hope it's not the last, as it's a nice piece that does work well for the wings.
  11. Currently obsessed with Ninjago dragons

  12. No. It looks exactly the same as all the other Sensei Wu faces Anyway, has this been shown here yet? I flicked through the instructions for the Master Wu Dragon, and there's some really nice artwork in the back showing the Ninjas and the Ghosts doing Airjitzu over what looks like the City of Stiix, with the Morro Dragon and Destiny's Bounty in the background, so I scanned it and thought I'd share it Heck, I even made the Morro Dragon art my avatar for now. Got a high resolution version here (warning: very large picture / file size)
  13. I really like Brainstein, it just screams mad evil scientist to me. And I really wasn't expecting the brain to be transparent pink either! That adds another minifigure to my ever-growing wanted list. So, it's definitely a Technic ball joint, what I suspected all along? It looks like the jet is a satisfying build but I'm not a massive fan of it's overall design. Especially the big gap in the middle. Now I really hope the UK gets these, I want at the very least parts from all three
  14. From what I can see, the Morro Dragon's legs are definitely better than those on the Wu dragon. Though, having said that, I realise that the dragon's legs actually look much better (but still not perfect) if you turn them so that the tan on the legs faces inwards. But seriously, the way I have it in the pics is pretty much how it's shown in the last page of the instructions
  15. Probably, there is a lot of recoloured pieces in this set, easily double figures. This set would have benefitted from being bumped to the next price point. Honestly, I think the legs on all recent Ninjago dragons tend to be the weakest parts. The Titanium Dragon has quite jarring gaps in it's back legs. The Mechdragon's legs just look odd. And none of them really bend at the knees (from what I recall - I haven't looked at any of the Ghost dragons for a while), hindering poseability. But I've never really encountered such repetitiveness before. And it appears the image I posted in the above post is not there. That's because Brickshelf appears to have just gone offline... again
  16. You are completely right in your description of that decal. But it's not printed. It's a sticker on a Spring Yellowish Green 2x2 round tile I'll get a pic of it posted a bit later. Did I mention I really dislike how lazily the legs are designed? It's like they gave up designing the set at the last minute EDIT: Here's a picture of the decal. Sorry, it's not on completely straight, I am completely useless at applying stickers:
  17. Your wish is my command! I've taken pics of the entire set, figures and everything, and also sum up my thoughts on the set: Minifigures: The Ghost's rickshaw Skreemer shooter device. Note the symbol on the roof is a sticker, and the code-like thing is not actually a code - it is identical to that shown on the box. Unlike many small builds I've encountered in sets like this, this is really solidly designed and doesn't feel like a throwaway build at all. The temple. It's not that interesting to me, but I love the techniques used on the lamps using black paint rollers making their first appearance since Detective's Office. And the way the bottom katanas on the roof are attached is really interesting, but I'm not going to tell you how they are attached . And our good old flick fire missiles make an appearance here. And the star of the show: the Wu Dragon! A back view: I think the best part of this dragon is the body and the head - they are full of SNOT and other techniques. Unfortunately, the wings are considered close enough in general design to be a clone of the Titanium Dragon's wings, and worst of all: all 4 legs are exactly the same, which makes the back legs look almost comically short. Also, poseability in the limbs is very limited, this was about the most interesting pose I could get the dragon in: Inevitable comparison with the Titanium Dragon: This is all the spare pieces I got in the set. I'm not sure if I just got a box from a batch that has unexpected extra parts. The ball joints are always useful to me, and interesting to see a spare of the new mould Ghost sword. Plus, extra black T-bars are very welcome, having only previously appeared in Minecraft spiders. Please note: the white 2x2 round tile isn't a spare - I realised I forgot to put it on one of the legs after shooting these pictures! Oh, and here's some bonus pictures: You can remove the shooting mechanism from the rickshaw and then mount a LEGO horse onto it (note the horse doesn't come with the set ) And just for fun: A Skreemer on Cole's head! Overall, this is a pretty nice set. 5 very nice, detailed figures (7 if you count the dog and the Skreemer, well both are called out as minifigures on the side), a really nice Ghost rickshaw, a decent Temple section and a dragon which has it's ups and downs. Oh, and the set is built with a very wide variety of very clever techniques. Very much worth the price tag, you can't really go wrong as long as the completely identical legs on the dragon don't bother you Hey, it gets a 10/10 from me purely because it's the first dragon to ever have full tea making facilities! (no, seriously, this feature is illustrated on the back of the box! Please note the dragon does not make actual tea ) If there's any more pictures you'd like to see, I'd be happy to oblige
  18. Well, I took a trip to my local TRU today having heard reports that they had been seen in TRU. And I found some of the new Ninjago sets! Okay, I could only find Blaster Bike, Master Wu Dragon, Airjitzu Zane and Ronin R.E.X. on the shelf, but I expected to find nothing to be honest. So I went and bought the Master Wu Dragon for £34.99. I haven't built it yet but questions about the set / picture requests are welcome By the way, does anybody know if Chain Cycle Ambush and Jay Walker One are exclusives in the UK, and if so, do we know what stores? I assume TRU has City of Stiix, so Argos and Smyths have got to have the other two, I know it
  19. Believe it or not, Tesco. 3 of the Protectors (Stone, Jungle and Ice) in all my local Tesco stores within one postcode area were scanning at this price. YMMV since 2 stores in 2 other postcode areas I tried didn't yield such prices, so it's really a postcode lottery It's all part of Tesco's super-secret 75% off clearance sale, super-secret as in they likely won't have any labels on the shelves for the discounted product.
