  1. My 2014 wishlist so far: City: Police Station Mobile Police Unit Prisoner Transporter Auto Transporter Race Car Light Repair Truck SUV with Watercraft Creator: Parisian Restaurant Power Digger Friends: Heartlake News Van Super Heroes: Batman Jr set Hulk Smash LEGO Movie: LEGO Movie CMF Trash Chomper Ice Cream Machine The Flying Flusher Creative Ambush Rescue Reinforcements Benny's Spaceship Will need to see a full parts inventory for the Simpsons House before I decide if its worth it or not. Of course all this depends on how much money I have (which is in turn dependent on the need to buy furniture and things for my new apartment :)
  2. Cows on the train would be awesome, I dont have any cows and really want some :) I just wish LEGO would come up with a reason to produce a proper sheep mold (not the lamb they did for Friends but a proper sheep)
  3. I didn't like this set at first because although I like The Simpsons I didn't have much use for the parts selection that was spotted in the initial photo. But now that I have detail pics, I am torn by all the interesting and useful parts in the set vs all the crap I cant use and dont want (and the high AU price for this thing) Will probably have to wait for a part inventory to make a final decision :)
  4. Used to be that BIG W in particular would sell sets of all sizes at a discount off RRP as their regular shelf price. Wonder what happened to that... Seems like the best option is to wait for a %off at MYER or Target. Or just buy it anyway and screw the extra couple $ :P
  5. Whats the best deal on the new City Octan race car set? The $15 price K-Mart and Big W have it for?

    Ferrari

Not a bad looking sports car :) Mind if I pinch some ideas for my own car MOCs?
  7. Of all the x-men characters, the one I am most hoping for is a Professor X (with wheelchair).
  8. The Flying Flusher set is likely exclusive to a specific retailer which would be why its not in the instruction booklets (often those ads dont include the sets that are exclusive to a specific retailer)
  9. Not just blues, BP has a trademark on its green color, John Deere has trademarks on the green of its tractors, Deutsche Telekom has a trademark on its magenta color, Cadbury on the purple of its chocolate packets, UPS on its brown color and even IKEA on the blue and yellow of its furniture stores.
  10. Great review, confirms my decision to put this set on my 2014 wishlist. The figs alone make it nice but its got a lot of nice useful parts in it too.
  11. What part is sitting underneath Metalbeard's head? Looks new to me, I dont recognize it.
  12. I made a somewhat-replica of my (now former) apartment building once. It had no furniture inside and was definatly not minifig scale (nor did it have the right colors). And it had a flat roof while the real thing had a sloped roof but it was still cool (and appeared on at least one club train layout)
  13. Nice Huey, you really captured the look (I built one as a medical ambulance helicopter a while back)
  14. I recon those plumbers are cool and will have to get this set for MOC purposes. All I need now is to find a torso suitable for an electrician and I am set :)
  15. I too hope we get Professor X and his chair, would be great to see a LEGO wheelchair for the first time ever :)
  16. Don't blame YouTube, blame the greedy media companies that own the copyright to all this stuff, they are the ones that are issuing take-down notices and getting Google to remove the content (and to add that content to their database so any further copies get removed)
  17. I would bet money that "thundering force" is some kind of flying machine. Creator seems to get a lot of flying machines (probably because they do well with the kids)
  18. I hope the spaceship doesn't cost too much, its the one set from this line I want the most :)
  19. I wish we got more blond generic mail hair (I am referring specifically to the hair color of the Minifigures Series 3 race car driver and Series 2 surfer)
  20. That would be this pair of parts: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=98286 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=98285 first introduced in 2012 in City sets. A techinc pin links the pair of parts together.
  21. Nothing on Peeron for 1990 (first year that M:Tron sets appear) or 1991 either. Its very possible that the value pack in question was a retailer exclusive or promo item and was never printed in any catalog. Maybe someone with a connection to the TLG archives can find out just what this set was...
  22. Not a bad set, I just wish LEGO would find a reason to produce that wheel arch piece in green or light grey instead of the same boring dark grey that seems to come in every single truck they make (and that I am sure most vehicle collectors already have a pile of)
  23. Plenty of brands are registered with eBay for their vero program and fake product is taken down all the time. There is no reason (other than LEGO being unwilling to put in the effort or possibly the costs involved) that LEGO couldn't participate in the same program and have the fakes, bootlegs and other things taken down from eBay (and the people who listed them put through whatever eBay has for banning sellers)
  24. Nice to see all these great reviews, have really helped me narrow down the wishlist as to what to buy, what not to buy and what to buy the good bits from on Bricklink. Just waiting for the review of the fire mecha set to see how good it is then I will have my wishlist completed :)
  25. Its a pitty that LEGO no longer uses certain classic hairpieces like the pigtails piece.
