  1. The Elves Starlight Inn has a 1x1 round tile with compass printing that I think is new (or at least didn't show up on a Bricklink search).
  2. So the "Total Feb yield" box is the total of both January and February's gains? (In which case I think I need that Doubloons adjudication form and someone needs to make that "First Property" box in the registration form more obvious).
  3. I'd be surprised if this wasn't the reason why you can't earn doubloons from same-faction approvals.
  4. Potentially sunk. Given we lost most of the Sea Rat fleet in the first month, it's a fair concern.
  5. I'm not 100% convinced that would work on this, but after a quick google to see what a carrack looks like it has given me some ideas for future vessels. And thank you for the kind words.
  6. There's an elegance in it's simplicity.
  7. I quite like the look of that microbuild ship. Nice work.
  8. Thank you. And no worries of that until the next round of MRCA. On that note, in the end I registered the Crow as a Class 2WR. Though I'm also thinking I should probably give her some anchors at some point. And maybe some lanterns for the (hypothetical) crew to see by.
  9. I think I have to give this a just for the use of the brick separator.
  10. Thanks. I decided to play with some brick built hull ideas and decided to keep the stern. It actually ended up easier to work with for building the cabin than the prefab piece. Thank you. Originally, it was going to be a smaller red and black ship based on the Elves Epic Adventure Ship. I changed my mind and started from scratch. I have to cite the "White Pearl" as an inspiration, but I wanted something other than black to break up the white. The side effect of my choices is that the ship ended up in Assassin's Creed colours. Thanks. As for the technic beam, the LDD let me colour it that way but Bricklink doesn't seem to have anything over 3 studs long in that colour.
  11. This was my take on it, as well, though I apparently forgot to include the "from the Far West" part when describing one of the characters in Drave's Emporium.
  12. I really like how you built the forward railings with the outward studs adding some texture to the side of the ship. And that crew looks to be along similar lines to my own (if I ever finish the thing). So all in all,
  13. For a smaller vessel, the Bloody White Crow - referring to the blood streaks it's captain paints her in - is a surprisingly feared vessel. Not so much for it's own abilities but for the fact that said captain, one Jacqueline "Jack" Yharnam, is said to be cursed. The story, or so it goes, is that she was in Bastion one debauched night when someone gave her that most dreaded of curses, the black spot. As the mark began to form on her hand, Jack Yharnam cut the hand off to forestall the curse. Whether or not it worked, or is even true, few are willing to sail under Cap'n Yharnam's command. On the other hand, some stories say the curse instead effects others nearby. Some crews surrender immediately lest they be afflicted. Of course, it could just be that she is occasionally lucky and knows how to leverage her reputation for impressive ends. Her ship of the last few years, the Bloody White Crow, is quite recognizable on the waters of Terraversa. A few people claim she exchanged it from Grayther Drave in return for an idol of pure gold. And though small, it is not without some comforts, at least for the Cap'n. This is freebuild number four, so are appreciated. This is going to be my free license once I decide if I want to call it a Class 2A or 2WR. That rigging was a pain to do on LDD. I may try and add some crew for a couple more images later. Jack Yharnam herself appeared in an earlier freebuild, Drave's Emporium. Comments and criticisms welcome.
  14. They work pretty well for a small craft. Nice work.
  15. Are those Smaug wings as sails?
  16. I knew those shield emblems would start cropping up somewhere. And that's a very nicely done lighthouse.
  17. I think I could use a little help here. This is the current mock-up of the top deck of a ship I'm working on for BoBS (as well as being a personal project for the last year or so): (Lesson for next time: Don't rely on Photobucket's resize function). The hull (not shown) and cabin are finished - externally, at least - leaving me with the questions of masts, numbers of and placement. I'm not particularly knowledgeable about historical ship types and I'm not really aiming for historical accuracy, just something that looks pirate-y enough. So I guess I'm asking for some advice on what to do about the masts. The ship is being built using classic hull pieces from the Brick Seas Barracuda that I picked up a couple of years ago in a small-ish lot of parts that also included a couple of classic base plates. As well as the bow/stern pieces there are three hull sections. The other thing I should mention is that extensive rigging is out: I'm building the thing to be modular, so everything past the front section around the bowsprit is going to be removable. Currently I'm looking at three sections: Cabin, stairs and main deck, though the main deck could get split into two. (I'm building a physical version of this, I've got some work in progress shots to upload at some point).
  18. Gotta say, my first response to that isn't repeatable on Eurobricks. That is crazy awesome.
  19. That's very cool looking for what could have been a very plain looking ship
  20. I figured that there's always a market for antiques, rare books and the like, so someone trading in them makes sense. Throw in a few superstitions and a little bit of movie influence, and things get more interesting. Of course, it can be a risky business, so it isn't for everyone. Thank you. He'll likely be showing up again before long, though I don't currently have any plans for an in depth storyline for him and the Emporium. Sadly not (I really should have bought more of the Pirates of the Caribbean sets when I had chance).
  21. My plan is to pick up a couple of largish card sheets, one white and one black, to use as backdrops for photos that I can fold up and put away, I unfortunately spent a bit too much on Lego and a holiday and haven't had opportunity to pick up the card yet. It's actually supposed to be a couple of houses and some shelter over the alley between them. Care to donate some? (The last time the redcoats were released I was still in my dark age, so I don't yet own any. For pretty much the same reason, I have very little in the way of civilians).
  22. It may not be glamorous but it's still a great looking boat.
