  1. Which programs do you use for everything, from the build to the final render? This looks incredible and I would like to try something like this as well!
  2. I would actually suggest that there be two ships, one for each faction. There could be one in the 50 range and another in the 100-120 range so that kids could still get a pirate ship without spending as much. A kid would also be able to create a ship battle if they got both sets. Target audience should be for young kids, maybe 5-6, with the bigger sets for slightly older than that. Both factions should have relatively the same number of figures. Each one should also have the equivalent of a Captain, First Mate... Even sneaking in an old torso or two would be alright. New printing is good, but it should not be excessive (resort to using stickers?). Colors should be bright enough to attract a kid's attention if they would happen to pass it in a store. Not everything needs to be one color- factions can have many colors, especially if the pirates are piecing things together from whatever they can find. New molds are really not necessary. Recolors are fine, but we can create a new theme with what we have available to us now. Loose bricks are fine as long as there is a place to put them for storage. Play functions- launching cannons, possibly even the new spring shooter; exploding rocks, ship parts, and walls; customizable buildings and ships, so one could swap out sections of a ship or base from one set to another; and army/armada/crew builder packs, whether in a traditional battle pack or a smaller set which can be easily collected and expanded upon. The story does not need to be deep. It needs to be something that kids could figure out from the sets and/or instructions with an additional storyline that could be found on the LEGO website if one would want to expand upon the sets' story.
  3. If you count the number of figures released and not just the different variants, there has been 3 Lloyds, 3 Zanes, 2 Jays, 2 Coles, 2 Kais, and one Nya. In terms of variants, it is a bit low, but in terms of the number of times the character has been released, everything adds to be just about equal.
  4. Nice gravel and flag detailing! Where did you get the idea to use those pieces for the flag?
  5. I would love those Tron sets as well. Maybe when TR3N comes out. A few of their films can fit under the Princess line in the future. Let's hope so...
  6. It may be a little expensive now, but, if you liked An Unexpected Gathering, you should try 10193 Medieval Market Village. Very nice for more of a peaceful side of the medieval building spectrum (although you could really do whatever you want with it). It's been retired, but it is one of the best non-castle sets.
  7. I actually like the plate mold on Bolg. It allows one to reuse it on other figures. Regarding the sets, do we know if the black arrow will appear in any of the sets? If so, will it be like the one in the video game or will it be a black missile from the new spring launcher?
  8. I love all the Furnos running away! How many Vorox did you use for the legs?
  9. How about doing a 360 degree spin and posting it on Youtube, then leaving a link here for us to see it? I would love to see more!
  10. It would definitely be larger. The color would not match well (the elephants from that theme were both variations of gray) and the trunk would definitely not be in the correct proportions. I would just recommend using the Hero Factory pieces. Maybe you could use some parts from last year's constraction Laval?
  11. Try using slightly darker base plates- it will complement the darker mood of the creation. You could put them on top of the wall or in the background and then use the Orcs from the Hobbit sets with the Uruk-Hai (not incredibly accurate, but it would increase the size of the army and give the impression of a siege.
  12. Nice MOC! The camouflage you used on the entrance is amazing and I would never be able to find it if you hadn't provided a picture. Nice rock-work as well!
  13. I love that wall! Any chance we could see the interior (if any)? Keep up the good work!
  14. How about different sections of the castle as well- kind of a modular addition? That castle would be very nice!
  15. Nice use of the dinosaur heads and Chima wings. Is that Slizer's helmet on his head? Amazing!
  16. That is so cool! Too bad there isn't an alternate build competition going on now- this is awesome!
  17. It looks so small in the movie... how does something of that size convert into a standard sized Batmobile?!
  18. Amazing! you even put a lot of detail into the roofs! How long did it take to build this? Would you ever consider building the rest of the wall?
  19. It would still be an exclusive figure- he isn't in any set this wave. At the same time, his torso (and maybe his legs, although those would probably have to be a new print. I guess they can use Worriz's) would be reused if the parts really are the same. So he would be an exclusive figure with non-exclusive parts. Maybe they could change something, but it is not necessary.
  20. Can you post the final number of bricks/a list of the bricks you used with approximate numbers when you are done? Looks incredible!
  21. I would actually merge these ideas for the poll- very similar.Comment has been responded to in the Questions & Answers thread - Mister Phes.
  22. It would be a downside for us if it is the same print, but perfect for Lego- they don't have to design another print for him.
