What movies can we recreate with licenced figures?
Master_Data replied to robuko's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Do you mean that every lead actor/actress must have a current minifigure? If not, just list every Liam Neeson movie out there. -
Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

The way the door was cut implies that the Serpentine really couldn't get out until someone cut it open with a laser. Just watch that part of the episode again. The Serpentine had no tools to do that kind of damage. If they really could get out, Skales' whining was really out of character when he got locked in there. It just seems like there are some gaps in the story from Season 2 to Season 3. And I really miss Kruncha and Nuckal!- 4,591 replies

Should "The Lego Movie" have it's own Theme?
Master_Data replied to Herky's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think that we should leave it here for the rest of the year, just to see if it will fade into the background like so many other themes. Maybe then we could gauge the continuing popularity of the movie, but now may be too early. It is still on everyone's minds, so that may be why it has been so popular. If we give it time, we can see if it will remain strong. -
I am really interested in the Fang Gang Max! The individual Mixels look so great that I am really anticipating pictures of their Max!

I really like this, although I am not sure if that gun fits in with the rest of the MOC. Just use better lighting before uploading it to the LEGO Ideas site!

This MOC is beautiful! I like how it is so original and free-flowing, not hard, square, gigantic, and gray like many others I have seen. The trees are really nice as is the river. Please turn this into a series of MOCs- this is just so cool! Agreed. Definitely submit this! It would get my support immediately and LEGO needs a set like this!

I really like that bow and that you but barrels on his arms! Nice job!

I really like that door! Your small MOCs are very nice. Keep up the good work.

Bricks and Pieces Interesting Pricing

I hope they find some way to lock in the pricing. It would be a lot more convenient for price comparisons to Bricklink and other sites. -
Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

In terms of easter eggs, what happened to Kruncha and Nuckal? How did the Serpentine get that door open? They weren't able to tunnel through it and a group of indestructible warriors couldn't break through it, so how could they? And where di Skales ever get his newspaper from- the people of New Ninjago City would never have allowed him to exit the new tomb.- 4,591 replies

Maybe they could add Nya, but she might be too similar to Wyldlstyle than the movie will allow. I would like to see a Friends character, at least in the background if not as an original character. They will probably just take the female character from whichever theme they project will be popular, just like they included Lloyd in a LEGO Movie set.

Just break up the base plate with some varying shades of green plates and add some detailing to the tower walls to complete this already nice MOC.

This is very nice. Comes to show that not all beautiful MOCs need to be gigantic!

Bricks and Pieces Interesting Pricing
Master_Data replied to JGW3000's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I remember reading an interview with John Stafford, known here as nabii, where he answered why certain pieces cost more. He answered that the condition of the molds themselves goes into the final cost. If the mold is not in the best condition, it costs more to make the part, so they charge more for the part, even if it is a mirror of another part. He said this in regards to the budget he has to face when he designs a set, but the same reason would apply here. Quantity and the fact that people would actually pay that much for the product would also affect the cost, but it may be because of the molds themselves. -
I've had problems with the coloring in the instruction manuals for years now. And the extra paint streaks on certain parts can be really annoying! I don't think that it has really been a big problem for me, though.

That happened with my Series 10 figs and some hairs from Series 11. Lego just sent another Series 10 fig instead of replacing the part. I wish that happened to me...the last time anything similar to that happened to me was when Lego sent out the free Chi Battles sets with all Shop at Home orders and I ended up with three of them plus my actual set and promotional item!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Discussion

Try a Fishface type mold for Bebob and a Dogpound style mold for Rocksteady. -
Sorry to hear that. At places by me, poybags with licensed characters are almost always torn open. It happened a lot more often during the reign of Mr. Gold. I do wonder what they do with all of those damaged sets. They can't really sell them...maybe they will let you keep it and get some of your money back?

Ambassador Project - Sub-Theme Suggestions - POLL RESULTS
Master_Data replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
I chose the West Brick Trading Company because it is something new- LEGO hasn't ever tried this before and it would be a fresh idea. The current pirates (2009) haven't really had anything to plunder and aren't plundering the imperial forces, so we need some other faction to play the victim here. It has more of a potential for a ship or two per faction. This also is the best possible way to get a set I have always wanted: a ship sailing into a harbor (whether peacefully or to plunder, I don't know). This high possibility in and of itself has sold the West Brick Trading Company sub-theme idea. -
This is amazing! If only Lego could have produced the set like this, as this is a whole lot better than the Keetongu model they made!

That windlance design in the game could have a flick fire fit into it or a new spring shooter fit into it. If the windlance in the video game would not really work fully built, can we assume that the flick-fire we saw in the game is also not entirely accurate?
