  1. I'm at 51 by my count. I think you missed my Ep 4 freebuilds (3+3+2). However, I was looking forward to some time in the ISB, would it be okay for me to keep my rank until Ep. 7? Also, here is my 100x100 Goatm An 46-1 thumbnail by goatman461, on Flickr Ask Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen what they think of our aim, oh wait...
  2. I made these for an upcoming SoNE freebuild. The engine on the A-Wing is being repaired because I didn't have two black cylinders at the time. 3. The ground cover looks great. The hoses bother me a little but they do give the ship a nice pattern on top. Cool build
  4. I appreciate the comments as always Beaver. I like the idea of re-purposing the side engines, two giant Gatling guns comes to mind. My intent was to have forward propulsion by the side engines and upward lift by the fans, all powered by the large center engine. The side engines are meant to have tesla coils coming out the front to either power the engine or act as lightning guns, or something. I originally had a C3PO shoveling coal into a furnace underneath the fighter but got rid of it because I thought it upset the overall shape and would not come through in a single picture needed for the polls. Go check out my flickr page, I've got you listed as "family" so you can see my WIPs.
  5. ...Scum Just kidding, glad you're joining up. Here's a link to the signature generator. You'll need to create you own. This site will give you the code and you'll paste that code into the signature editor, which you can change in your profile settings. Just ask if you need help. That pic looks like it's part of a cool MOC.
  6. Presenting, ISB Officer Goatm An 46-1, back in the officers' cabins of the Avenger and as clean shaven as he gets. Goatm An 46-1 by goatman461, on Flickr
  7. awesome, i'll PM you when I can get some pics, thank you. bob, beaver, and mstrofppts can expect some PMs too
  8. If I send you some pictures of my WIPs would you be willing to give me some notes? That goes for anybody that is willing. I just don't want to publish my pics in the forums until after they're posted on fbtb
  9. Thank you for all the compliments. I'm glad y'all like it. There's more to come whether I advance in the contest or not. @BD - I do worry that I'm not Steampunk enough for the polls. I was going for a later version of steampunk, like early 20th century industrial steel-almost mid-century modern. It is from Naboo so it's got to be a little sleeker/advanced. You definitely caught me throwing gears on there just for the greebling. My speeder is a bit more steampunk, but the walker I'm working on is guilty of the same type of surface level steampunkery. That's my grumpy, backseat-driving, mech with a curiously well groomed moustache for being a head in a jar
  10. My first entry for the FBTB contest. I left the title ambiguous because I've already built my Round 2 entry (wishful thinking + no time this week to build) and I will add it here once it's ready to shoot. If anybody else wants to add their Steam builds to this topic, feel free to reply with your pics. Please leave C&C below and go vote for my build if you have an account. Enjoy.
  11. Holy cow. FBTB competition is over now that Markus is in it. Amazing work. Just doing the B-wing is a struggle, adding all this steam punk to it is quite a feat. The details look really great. Can't wait to see your other entries
  12. Wow, I'm beyond flattered by my score. Thank you judges. And big thank you to the rebels that participated. I'm looking forward to the next episode. Does anybody have any thoughts on appropriate ISB garb? I think there's an ISB agent in the new Rebels series that wears grey, but the white uniform sure is cool.
  13. I shot these as part of a future SoNE freebuild and thought I'd go ahead and post them here while the topic is revived. I based most of this off of Krispy's/Renegade Clone's/etc. design but didn't have the patience to build it brick by brick based on the LDD file, so I diverged in several areas. I also tried to get rid of as many studs as I could. I hope y'all like it. I'll post a link to the freebuild whenever it is ready to post.
  14. It's mostly based on Krispy/Renegade Clones designs but with different guts. I didn't have the patience to build based on the LDD file so I just made it up as I went. There are several structural issues with it, like the wings get loose when folding them back and forth. I'll be sure to take pictures when I'm ready to disassemble it. And thank you, I'm glad y'all like it Final shots are on flickr, here. I'll probably do some more freebuilds to build up the story
  15. So the nice thing about having to sit through hours and hours of online lectures is that I get to spend a lot of time building. Hence, here is a WIP I'm getting ready for the next round of freebuilds. I'm going to have Goatm steal a B-wing after some undercover work. More pics and comments on Flickr. I'd love to get y'all's comments and suggestions on how to improve the build.
  16. I meant to link to these in my last build, and will go back and edit them in. I may still redo the crash landing, I'm kind of sick of trees though. Thank you for the comments. 17. I agree that the bird seems a little too tropical but I can still easily see this as a great Endor location. I imagine its on the edge of a clearing or meadow and those are redwood saplings. Despite the heavy foliage this build is also incredibly clean and sharp looking. Glad to have you on board the Empire. Also, I use to have one of those mustaches. Great choice.
  18. Beautiful build. The underside greebling and panels on the side of the landing pad are great as usual. The top is a little boring and I'm not crazy about the overall shape of the support column. I just don't think I've seen columns with that kind of varying diameters in real life or the movies. The epaulette, and maybe the cape, are also interesting. Seems a bit grandios for the Empire (despite Vader's get up). The dense foliage around the base seems perfect though. And I'm glad Vader is as concerned as I am about Ewok sympathizers.
  19. Goatm-An 4-61 is a Tie pilot assigned to test fly experimental starfighters for the Empire and occasionally help develop develop new weapon platforms for the ground forces. After crash landing a Tie Fighter on Endor, narrowly escaping a gorax, and killing his way through village after village of Ewoks, Goatm has finally reached one of the Imperial construction site. Coincidentally, his friend and favorite mechanic is onsite installing some special sentry cannons. Goatm's mechanic explains to Goatm that this is a special construction site because of Vader's Exhaust Port Security Initiative. The location of this port has been kept very secret. Construction requires only underground, horizontal drilling operations, the lowering of the exhaust port into place via an Imperial shuttle piloted by an ISB pilot, two highly trained snipers on hand with orders to shoot all sentient and non-sentient creatures in the area, and a small construction crew made up of the greenest, most inexperienced, and incompetent recruits that wouldn't be able to find this location if they tattooed it on their sloppy, stormtrooper bodies. The mechanic was pretty certain these guys don't even speak basic. (Just having fun; no offense meant to my extremely talented, wonderful German and Austrian comrades) These two snipers brought some serious rifles and a specially modified speeder. The shuttle pilot expertly lowered the exhaust port though the hole below, where it was quickly attached to the underground system of tunnels. Some stormtroopers will be happy to know that this build was done with the utmost care to preserve the natural surrounding. Other Imperial's will be sad to know that this preservation did not include the Ewoks living nearby. Imperial brass inspects and approves of the new exhaust port. The Empire's new exhaust port hatch technology seems to be working well, too. Thank you for clicking. I hope that you will leave comments and criticisms below. I would like for this build to be judged, please and thank you.
  20. Great transition between perspectives. It would be interesting to see the whole build without the camera trick to see how you pull this off
  21. Very cool. I really like the way you finished out the columns on the walls (the point where they touch the floor is perfect). Is the interior of the transport finished out? And do you have more pics of the smaller ships flying towards Endor?
  22. great color combo (yellow excluded), and VK is right, the curved roof is great, especially the way they are connected to each other, I don't really understand the dark gray clips on the sides though
  23. I really like this build. I was unsure how an Endor scene was going to come out on LDD, but this is really great. Your tree has some great details and the roots were a nice touch. I do think there should be substantially more roots, considering how big the tree is. The foliage is also great, especially the blend of colors and random/coordinated pattern it is in. I would say more grass-like ground cover would be nice, but I think the "ferns" make sense for Endor/Redwood Nat'l Park. Your bomber is also great. The greebles on the interior of the wing are a nice touch. I think your cockpit dome could be integrated a little more smoothly. Maybe by mounting it to the middle of the bomber rather than the bottom you could incorporate it into those great greebles (speaking of, nice dark gray pistol hidden in there). As for the story, I love the fact that an Ewok was smashed by the tree. I do wish your character would either loose the conscience or find a different job. I was going to mention in my entry that your character was moved over to shuttle detail after killing a friendly on Sullust, but I didn't have the right shot to do it. I guess I just love being the bad guy (maybe that's why I'm a lawyer) and it is disappointing to see a tie pilot with all the inner conflict. I think some people really enjoy your writing, I just don't get it. FYI: I bet that Ewok you saved will be responsible for killing a lot of stormtroopers later on.
  24. Here's a freebuild WIP I decided to go ahead and share since I had good lighting and was already shooting the modification to my Gorax freebuild. My plan is to fill this with a few scout and stormtroopers, and possibly a ship dropping this exhaust vent into place. Suggestions are welcome, especially for the top of the shaft.
