  1. Assault on Wayne Manor. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/50007 I'm really, really hoping that particular set gets approved under the existing Batman license. However I'm afraid this and the AT-AT you posted are less likely to be approved for two reasons. The first is that LEGO may already have a similar project underway, so they would be unwilling to underwrite an external project that would compete with it. The second is their sheer size... to date the approved "Idea" sets have been small and exposed LEGO to less financial risk. It's pretty clear that there's a ton of momentum starting to build behind "Ideas" so perhaps we will see large, licensed sets in the near future. Fingers crossed.
  2. That gear system is ingenious... and the other secret, the hidden pistol...
  3. Here you go... yes, it's exclusive to Homer but there's already a bunch for sale: http://www.bricklink...sp?P=3069bpb311 EDIT: if you are having difficulty finding something, just search using "catalog items" (the drop-down next to the search field). Homer's remote will show up if you search for "remote". Or can search for "homer" and the minifig will come up, and you can click through to see what accessories are listed.
  4. Completely agreed! She needs to be a lead, not a sidekick. I quite liked the strong-but-still-vulnerable Wyldstyle who continually saved Emmett's brick behind. I'm hoping there will be other leads that are as capable, but perhaps with a more feminine side. Smart and not merely action heroes. The central idea of "what makes a toy more appropriate for girls and not boys" could easily be explored in the next movie. The fact that there is a pink LEGO isle for girls and a separate isle for boys has always struck me as kind of silly. Girls don't like Creator cars? Boys don't like horses? The very fact that so many of my beloved modulars are--in fact--doll houses for adults is rife for gender exploration...
  5. Having a Friend or a Disney princess show up in the next LEGO movie seems very likely. Especially given the popularity of the Friends line and the "little sister" mentioned at the end of TLM, whose own imagination will likely factor into part of the next storyline. It would actually be very funny to have Batman trapped in the psychological horror of a pink "girly world" for one of the sequences in the sequel, especially since all the women are slightly taller than he is. I would like to see one of the witches, LEGO has produced several and she'd make a good "mini-boss" in a Monster Fighter or Castle-themed world. I'd also like to see a capable cowgirl taking the action lead in a Cowboy sequence, or the intergalactic girl from series 6 saving Benny's life and becoming a love interest. Plot twist: Benny doesn't know she's a girl until she takes her helmet off.
  6. Looks a lot like the jeepneys I rode around on in the Philippines, except they had benches facing each other instead of seats. Real nifty!
  7. Welcome! The stop-motion stuff is really fun.
  8. Beautiful! Love the very realistic exterior and interior bar.
  9. If you are just starting out, begin with an off-the-shelf modular and then modify to your taste. With each official set you build, you'll pick up some new techniques on how to use parts in innovative ways. All of the official set instructions are also free online, and they are great reference material. For your first custom build, you could use LDD to design virtually but I find it easier to be creative with physical bricks. Either way, figure out what you want to build and then do some sketching before you dive in. Look online for inspiration from folks who have built similar things. I strongly suggest you start small in the beginning, it's amazing how much time (and money) doing a custom building like a full-size modular will consume.
  10. I just asked for help via the website and got a confirmation link sent to me in only an hour! They are aware of the issue and are actively trying to fix the account migration bug. It's amazing how good LEGO customer service is, even on a "fringe" project like CUUSOO er, um I mean IDEAS. Sebeus, congrats on the front page! That is one heck of a ship.
  11. Me too. No email, tried resending three times.
  12. A trolley/streetcar would be a very welcome addition! The Pet Shop buildings are pretty close in style to San Franciscan-style "painted ladies", although I'd like to see more 16x32 Victorian row homes added. And the Palace Cinema is the beginning of a Chinatown. A streetcar would fit right in.
  13. Really well done, I'd buy this in a heartbeat if it were an official set!
  14. Kumusta Technix! Nice username... ;-)
  15. Very cool! Love the build, great details in such a tiny tractor.
  16. I have to admit I wasn't real excited for this set after hearing rumors, but it's got a lot of neat details. The way the ride folds is exceptionally clever. I can't believe there's not a single turkey leg present!
  17. Maybe... there are a few parts that are rare/expensive and don't justify the effort to recreate a 100% accurate set and then try to flip for a profit. If the set doesn't include them, it's a copy-cat. Keep in mind Cafe Corner was early on, before anyone really appreciated the demand for modulars and the way they jump in price once retired. Many people don't keep boxes and some don't keep instructions once built, or misplace them. Just because it's missing these elements doesn't mean it's not legit.
  18. Zombie thread is ALIVE again! Just bumping this one to the top... does anyone have additional imagery of Badsneaker's creation now that the links above are all broken? The CUUSOO submission was great, one of the few structures that ever made it far enough to be considered. It's a shame it competed with the Haunted House and was never released. I would have gladly purchased both. But I'd like to create something similar for myself and would love some additional reference/idea shots.
  19. How about using white minifig hands as a replacement?
  20. This is so charming, and very convincing! A little 1x1 round plate here and there around the foundation would give it just a bit more country charm. Maybe a green cone on a bar for a cypress tree border? A pond? It's so cute as is, but kind of begs for a little more rolling country side. Lots of potential around this perfect, tiny house.
  21. It does not have the technic pins on the bottom, and because it opens on a hinge it's not a true modular. But I second (or third) that the Haunted House should be on your short list! I like it better than any modular released so far, and it's easy to change into one and get rid of the run-down "haunted" bits. It's just a really fun set. I don't expect it will be around much past Halloween of this year. It will most definitely jump in price once retired.
  22. Great job packing so much detail into your tiny cars! Really impressive. Love the hearse rod and minifig design, especially the use of the new "neck beard".
  23. GG does need a lot of internal renovation. There's the awkward placement of internal stairs, lack of enough windows on the rear, and nothing but two huge rooms on the top two floors. But the architectural details on the front are great. It's a fabulous shell to play with. I love the PR but it's almost *too* complete by comparison. It's kind of nice when LEGO intentionally leaves a little "blank canvas" for your own creativity.
  24. I have purchased so many bulk lots, I have no idea what the actual piece count is. But it all weighs at least 250 imperial pounds including the built models. Easily 75K+ pieces. And somehow I still always need a few more of some specific color/shape than I have on hand... I think I may have a problem.
