  1. Looks very nice! Lovely color palette, and cute little size! I do wonder if it's a guy or girl in the hammock (male head with female torso?), but hey, if he/she feels comfortable like that, who am I to question it? I would, however (like -Carson Haupt- said), build up around the stream so the water doesn't flow rampant… and I would flip over the turkey leg ;) I need to gets me some of those doors! TO BRICKLINK! *que 60's Batman transition effect*
  2. Those bricks are dark red, not red. I had to brighten up the photo in photoshop, so that's why it might look a little jarring. It's way more subtle irl, I assure you ;) I feel the same about the roof; I wanna replace those plates with dark gray or dark brown tiles when I get them. I do have pictures of the back, but they came out horrible! Thanks for the compliments and critique!
  3. Hey all! First time I'm posting a MOC! I don't have a good camera, so I made the pics with my phone. Forgive me! I wanna show you my grocery store. It's a small corner building in dark colors (mostly black, dark red and dark green). On the outside there are crates of fruits and vegetables, a tree pushing up the stones of the sidewalk, a dumpster around the corner, Chase McCain on patrol, and the entrances to the shop and the apartment above. The roof plates will be replaced with a darker color, I was thinking dark brown or dark gray, but Kristel's suggestion of dark green got me thinking ;) Inside the shop there are stocked shelves, a counter with a scale and a busy shop owner. What you can't see is the refrigerated area across from the counter and the restroom underneath the stairs behind the counter (even though the toilet is basically invisible, I want my buildings to be functional, and a place for the shop owner to lay a brick [badum tsh] is part of that) When we go upstairs, there's an apartment. First level is the kitchen (with toilet and laundry room), second the living room, and third the bedroom and bathroom with a small balcony. I hope y'all like it! I've got some more MOCs I wanna show you when I get the chance! [EDIT] Just a few extra pics I had:

  10. The best haul I've had was a box full of lego I found at a thriftshop for €15,-, turned out to be all classic space with dozens of mint condition minifigs and loads of rare parts My sister found 2 garbage bags full of lego at a flea market for just €20,- and I loved her even more for it!

  14. Hello there! I'm Ben, a 30 year old man-child from the Netherlands. I'm currently working on creating a shopping/city street with semi-typical Dutch architecture. I love to make my own stuff from scratch, but I also collect the lego city cars/trucks (you know the ones). I also love the modulars, but I'm currently thinking about taking them apart, since they are just a tad smaller in scale in comparison with my MOCs and it just looks weird together, so I wanna rebrick them. All my MOCs have full interiors, mostly consisting of a shop on the ground floor with 3 layers of livingspace above it. this'll give you an idea: https://flic.kr/p/mfnbi3 As I'm on a budget, I can't buy all the bricks I want new, so I'm an avid Bricklink scavenger. Seeing as I work in vintage, I do sometimes come across some nice Lego finds during my trips to thrift stores or markets. I'd love to share my finds with you all here in the forums if that's possible. Can't wait to share, view, comment, build and be inspired!
  15. Looks great! Would be fun if you could add an interior. Any plans on doing so?
