Loving all the nice little touches, colors and gothic vibe. Good to see you kept with the feel of the set! The grotesques on the roof look great! (I know they were in the official set, but still!) Did you purposefully decide to make this modular symmetrical? Seeing as the official set isn't

You should NEVER feel out of place when it comes to LEGO! All that matters is that you have fun with it! Let me just give you some little tips I've picked up from some very talented moccers: The way you photograph your MOCs is very important; even the best MOCs in the world look crap in bad lighting :D Get your creation of the carpet, the way your baseplates shift around make it look more messy than necessary. Try to get some different angles with your camera, so we get to see some more of your creation. I'd be interested to see how that building looks, inside and out. Your locomotives look very good btw, so why be insecure?

Fair enough! you could try one of these with the clock in the middle, just to enlarge the face: I do agree with you btw that the fact your building is asymmetrical makes it more interesting! And the little white extension at the back is a very nice touch!

The organ is fantastic and I love the color scheme! One suggestion: the clock face seems a little small to me, have you tried the (big) clock from Town Hall?

Impressive! Very recognizable!

I'll just place this here for easy viewing: courtesy of Brickset: http://brickset.com/article/14226/friends-box-images I agree! I think this is gonna be my go-to set, like the Lemonade Stand has been the past year. Loads of nice and useful parts!

this building is not a modular, and taking pics of the interior is a pain in the big behind! But I did take some! I did not spend too much time on the interior, so don't expect anything spectacular! The shop has a small counter, shelves full of cheeses, a stack of eggs in the corner, and a small staircase leading to the apartment above. The small apartment has a simple kitchen, a table with two chairs, and a nice lounge chair with side table by the fireplace, where Mr. Milkman can relax after a long day hocking dairy products. Upstairs is a bed and dresser. The bathroom (behind the yellow door) has a toilet, sink and shower.

Thanks everybody for the kind words! As this is not a modular, interior shots are very hard to do without destroying half my creation… but with the sweat of my brow I did manage to take some photos! I didn't spend too much time on the interior, so don't expect anything spectacular! The shop has a counter, and shelving for cuts of meat and jars and bottles. In the back of the shop there's another counter space (not pictured) where the butcher can prepare the meats. There's also a washroom (brown door to the right). The small apartment above has a kitchen/living, with a small kitchenette, a table with two chairs, a red loveseat and a cabinet with a flatscreen tv on it Upstairs is the bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a small dresser. The bathroom (not pictured) has a toilet, shower and sink.

As a brother to my Dairy Shop (see http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=105597), I've just finished the second addition to my WIP; Old Town Square: a Butcher Shop! Butcher by Bennemans1984, on Flickr This shop has been in the family for centuries! It's well known among the locals for its fresh products and great service! Mr Butcher likes to keep his little stoop nice and clean for his customers. Primarily using the colors black, dark brown, dark tan and olive green, this building is noticeably darker than my Dairy Shop. It has plenty of elaborate wood carvings, including the bell-gable, the windows and the carving of a pig above the door of the shop. Outside, the butcher has displayed some dried sausages, a table with meat sauces and gravies, and some meats. In the window, the townsfolk can salivate over the meat, poultry and pork displayed there. Mr. Butcher takes pride in his family business! At the back is a little extension, which serves as the staff entrance to the butcher shop. The front door to the apartment above the shop is situated at the back as well. (of course the apartment is fully furnished, with a kitchen/living above the shop, and a bed/bathroom in the attic) Hope you guys like! [excuse the poor quality of the photos, don't have a great camera]

The false perspective in this dio is absolutely fabulously done!

Yesterday I went to a big thrift-shop near me, and went immediately to the toy section. I noticed this blue/orange Lego bucket, but recognized it as the one that's been there for like 2 years now, which was filled with marbles. It even had the "marbles' sticker on it. But to get to something behind it I moved it, and noticed it wasn't as heavy as it used to be (I had picked it up the last 5 billion times I was there, and was disappointed every time to find it filled with marbles), so I looked inside and found some Lego in it this time! I noticed some minifigs and silver armor in with a load of (non-Lego) basic bricks, so I figured the €4 price tag might be worth it, so I picked it up! It had 4 complete little Lego sets in it: 5610, 5611, 5613 and 5615, all in pristine condition! Including some spare bits. The rest of the (basic) bricks were all a clone brand, looks like Mega Bloks (which I don't care about). They are all in very good condition and there's a nice amount of them, so I'll probably sell them online, so no loss there! The shop also had a Sluban set in (very beat up) box for a €1, a new Mega Bloks set for €1.50 (the Duplo kind) and some overpriced Lego Bionicle, but seeing as I have no interest in any of that I left them for somebody else to pick up. All in all, I'm pretty happy with my little find. Not the biggest or most interesting I've ever found, but still a welcome little surprise.

Thanks everybody! I agree it sticks out a bit in the picture, but it looks more subtle IRL. Also, I don't have a black sign (and honestly, I'm not so fond of the new style sign, I prefer the Fabuland one). I do have a grey one though, maybe I'll try that one! Thanks!

A little dairy shop for my WIP; an old town center! (part two, Butcher Shop, can be seen here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105842 ) On display under the awning are tables with milk, eggs and cheese. There's also a milk can and butter churn. It has a full interior: a shop on the ground floor, with a kitchen/living upstairs and a bed/bathroom in the attic. (I might make pictures of the interior later, but it's nothing too special) I need to find/make a sticker for the sign, and I need to get some gold lattice panels for the arched windows. Hope you guys like it! [i also need to get a new camera… this iPhone 4 is not giving me the quality I want…] Dairy Shop by Bennemans1984, on Flickr

Is there somewhere we can view this picture (and more of 'm) in a bigger size, instead of this postage stamp-sized one? It looks freaking goooood!
