    Ugh. Looking on craigslist and I see one up for sale for $1200 locally! Person actually says they got 2 this morning and I'm fairly sure the Lego Store near me is the only one in the area. They must have had a friend sit there since I'm sure the store would not sell 2 to one person! That is a straight ahole move right there. :( I hope they read this and know how crappy that was!

    Er I'm not sure where you live but these sets will NEVER be discounted in the US.

    I got to my local Lego store an hour early. They had 8 units which were already taken up by people that had been there WAY earlier than I. I did get a card for free expedited shipping if I ordered online today. Like most here, the site was fubar it was so busy! Eventually around 1000AM I was able to put an order it with free shipping and the expedited. Hope to get it soon. :) Does go to show ya that people will always buy wanted sets. Also, these won't always be available for people that wait for double VIP days.

    Thanks for this thread! I have a project I'd like to build in Lego and need to just get started but I don't have any "deep" technic experience besides building sets. This thread both seems to make it possible AND unreachable at the same time!

    I saw 42066 at the local Lego store Friday and dang! I had no idea the set was so big! I'm not a fan of the short wings on the A model but maybe I'll purchase it for the B model.

    I went to my local Lego store to see the new MF on Force Friday and lo and behold they were putting some of these on the shelves. I grabbed one and cradled it in my arms prepared to fight people off but luckily it was pretty early in the morning :)

    As far as bricks no issue there should not be any damage. People wash lego all the time. Just put it out to dry. You can also get any offcial lego set instructions on the lego store site for free. Good luck!

    Er the Lego shop page says "Limit 5" If this thing gets sold out right away because scalpers are buying 5 at a time I'm going to be very irritable :(

    The problem with this thinking is you have to HOPE that it will actually be available during a double VIP sale if you wait. (see the Lego Saturn set that has been very hard to get since it launched) For me I'll be buying it the day it is available since I don't have the older UCS set.

    Maybe something from Rebels? A loth-cat? Bendu? Those cool seeker droids that hung out with the 7th sister? Or what about some helmets? A life size Sabine helmet would be so epic? Or that tie fighter she painted!

    I think the BB-8 is smaller so it can be in scale with the UCS R2D2.

    I believe he is talking to those that want to build and replicate your MOC. For me, I love to build stuff but I'm not good enough to build something like this from scratch (that would look good and/or not fall apart!)
