Just my opinion but a lot of Star Wars fans also collect all kinds of Star Wars items besides Lego - props, figures, statues, maquettes, 1:1 helmets, light sabers, etc in addition to Star Wars Lego. There is actually a lot of cross over. I bet a lot of AFOLs that also dabble in collecting other Star Wars items are very happy about the helmets. If you ONLY collect Lego then I can understand it may be out of left field. -
Wow I really like the brick made furled sails there!

Those helmets are going to be the talk of my area when I display them at my office. :) -
@KotZ Great job! On the show! My SO and I really enjoy it. I think they are doing a better job showcasing the builds as there are less teams but I expected there to be a lot of variation do to the reality show aspect. I can say my SO actually cried during episode 5 so although they are showing a little bit of drama they are also doing a good job of showing how the people that are normally friends or teams really care about each other and what they do. I wish there was a way to see some mocs that the contestants have build off the air. I'm sure the show is not a great show case for all the people due to time limits and twists. I'd love to see some MOCs they display. :)

I like the helmets and plan to collect them if they have more. I'd love to have 1:1 scale helmets but if this is all we get I'll enjoy them. -
I like the look of them but would also like full size versions. I also agree with the above poster that this forum needs to really stop with the MOC comparisons and recognize the limitations of mass produces sets.

Looks great! Glad to see more Lego fans in the Raleigh area :)

I'd be very happy with Lego helmets. -
From this discussion it seems there were Lego pictures? I only saw regular pictures of the 3 options.

I saw the Jurassic Park gate and T-Rex set at the Lego store this weekend and it looked much cooler in person then I thought it would. Definitely on my interest list now! -

Loos great so I'll start saving for it. You still can't get the old UCS ISD for less then this so people don't really have much choice on the price. -
Looks great!

Looks pretty fun. It would be cool if they added stuff in the app for the Scooby Doo sets.

I wish I would have been aware of this product. I really like the set and it would be a great display piece.

Hiya! I'm not sure the size of your robot but it must be decent to have all those boards in it. When I was building a R2-D2, my power solution was to buy these battery power adapters. These are meant to connect to cordless 12v or 24v batteries and people can use the USB to power or charge things on a job site. I opened them up and soldered wires directly to the positive and negative connections so I could get the full power. You can even hook two in parallel so you can get twice the current. As a bonus these make it easy to swap batteries when needed. Even one of them will power a bunch of boards for hours.

Can anyone post the link to the MOC that is the large Death Star hanger bay big enough for the UCS Falcon to fit in? I thought it was here or I had it bookmarked but I can't find itnow. Thanks!
