A lot of Nexo stuff on clearance at Target right now, 33-50% off. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
sithewok replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Astrid designed the Palace Cinema, right? That's the modular that convinced me to start collecting them and it remains my favorite. -
I have been told that the new Gamestop advertising kit for the US will have new advertising of some sort for Dimensions. It should be up in the next week. Unfortunately, I have no idea if it features anything new or is just new advertising for the existing sets.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

I still have yet to see these in stores. This is the first set in a couple of years that I haven't seen stocked on release day or before so it's kind of odd.- 4,155 replies

Nice work. I particularly like the curved arches creating a balcony for the second floor.

I may be a little late on this but I would absolutely be interested in some sand green and would be willing to compensate you a bit extra (above cost plus shipping) for some. Drop me a PM if the offer still stands.

It's definitely disappointing. The physical builds are nice with a lot of printed parts for the Defender machine, but the level itself is a let-down so far. Glad I didn't pay the full 30.00 for it (Gamestop has it for 19.99 right now), that's for sure.

I played Midway arcade for a bit - up to the first checkpoint - in between jobs. It's definitely fun for someone like myself (old enough to remember the arcade heyday...). I do wish that they had reprogrammed the original games to have some visual relationship with Lego. I didn't realize that it was just going to be emulated versions of the games, honestly. I thought that it would be lego-ized versions. That may have been common knowledge, but I missed it. It's kind of disappointing as the games seem like an "artificial" way of progressing through the level if that makes sense...

I will say that after these last couple of review periods, a lot of the chatter I hear from friends on social media is that they aren't going to bother voting for projects on Ideas anymore as Lego is declining so many of them. Personally, I think it would be better if TLG would give some sort of feedback (where possible) as to why they have declined it. That could possibly cut down on some of the negativity.

Has anyone played the Midway level yet?

Supplies must not have lasted long. I followed the link in my email as soon as I saw it - the ad was still on the main page, but no matter what I added to my cart it would not add in the chicken suit guy. Now the ad is gone from the main screen.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
sithewok replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Out of curiosity, did Walmart stop carrying the CMF line? None of the WM stores around my area have a shelf space for them any longer and none have stocked this series. Has anyone spotted these in Walmart stores recently? -
I was excited for the gas station, but for 90 dollars - it will be an easy pass for me. It just does not look to be worth that much to me.

I went ahead and ordered enough of the masonry bricks after seeing the images. I will probably continue to slowly acquire the modified 1x2s, but this looks great for the interim. Am I correct in assuming that you cannot see the hinges in the final build? I don't have the sand green hinges at this point, either, I realized.

I also have had many many issues with S@H - especially if I am also buying PAB or BnP. It seems very strange to me that a company as successful as Lego would have such a poor webstore.

What minifigs are we missing - post your detailed suggestions here
sithewok replied to CopMike's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm still hoping that the Michelangelo minifigure (complete with sculpture mini) from The Lego Movie one day sees release. -
Do you happen to have photos of the Green Grocer with the masonry profile brick substitution, Sven? I would be interested to see that.
-
I picked up the carbon freezing chamber at Kmart.

I've been ever so slowly getting the parts for Green Grocer and Café Corner -placing small orders over the last couple of years. I am down to only a few pieces needed for CC - maybe 20 bricks. GG, I am down to the modified green 1x2s (I substituted 1x4s for the 1x8s.) and I am terrified of them. lol. When I started the whole process, I (stupidly) hoped that TLG would produce more of the rare sand green parts, but waiting on those has only made it more expensive as the Bricklink price has continued to climb on them. I believe we are going to use a chunk of our tax return this year to buy tiny expensive plastic bricks. It's nice to have a place to say that and not have (too many) people think that I am crazy.

I just wish they would announce where the game is going from here. We've played through everything in the main game in addition to the BTTF and Who level packs (no interest in Ghostbusters or Simpsons) and done a ton in the game but have just kind of lost interest with the slow releases and general lack of information or game updates. My daughter has zero interest in playing anymore. I'll still throw it in every once in awhile to collect more gold bricks though with no achievements or such related to collecting everything, it kind of dulls the interest in finishing up the way the other Lego games push you to get 100% I will say that the level and team packs seem overpriced for what they offer. The new sales on the character packs bring them in line to being worth the money a lot more (we picked up quite a few of them through Target with the Cartwheel coupon).

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

I have the same problem with the mop. Glad I'm not the only one. Someone in my area has been buying up all of the shark suit guy. Found four cases in different stores with everything but the shark guy. Managed to trade for it on swapfig, but was still a little annoying. -
Holy cow! Those are gorgeous buildings! So many amazing details that I don't even know where to start. Just... fantastic.

I love this. So many cool little touches - just great work all around.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
sithewok replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Out of curiosity, when do we think we will begin to get some rumors regarding the next Modular? (I know I'm being very impatient... Just curious as to the timing of when info usually starts circulating.) Personally, I'm hoping for a library, book store, or music store. I imagine a museum is on the short list, but since I am mocing one of those, I'm less excited in that prospect. -
What was your first lego set?
sithewok replied to Chilly_Productions's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm jealous of all of you having Lego sets as children. Somehow, that all passed me by. My first Lego set (as a youngster of 40...) was the Lego Movie Ice Cream truck after picking up a couple of the Lego Movie Minifigures. Shortly after that, I learned about the modulars and it was all downhill from there for my wallet.
