  1. Now these are just great! I want all of them. Hopefully short sleeved minifigures start to appear in more themes soon.
  2. I missed the episode for today. I didn't wake up in time! Is there any way I can find it online? When will it air next? Can someone explain what happens?
  3. Shouldn't this whole discussion go in the TV series topic?
  4. Sandcrawler, The Simpsons House, or MetalBeard's Sea Cow?

      Sea Cow. Hands down.

  5. This thing... is a beauty. I'm not going to buy it so I can get one of the other D2C sets out this year, but wow. This Sandcrawler is so much better than the almost decade old version. I would have liked a Lars homestead, a nameplate and an Aunt Beru minifigure to justify the price, but you get what you get.
  6. This is an absolutely horrible choice for a minifigure. What is there for those who want an exclusive one?
  7. Overall, I really like it, but at the same time, I don't. The detail you added is great, but the outside is a bit messy and the inside is a bit too modern for the outside. Still, it's pretty good. Don't worry, though; practice makes perfect!
  8. Wow, I can't believe I didn't notice my mistake! I did know that, though. Fixed! Interesting opinions, guys. I especially agree about the price and quality, and I hope that remains more or less the same. I cannot wait to hear more opinions.
  9. Beautiful scene! I really love the wall build, the shelves, the lab table area, basically everything! Brilliant work.
  10. There is no doubt that 2014 will go down in history as one of the biggest years for LEGO ever. You may totally disagree or completely agree with me. There are many reasons why this is the case. Let's face the facts, shall we? -The most obvious reason is The LEGO Movie, the first ever theatrical film for LEGO, the first not to be direct-to-DVD. The movie is currently making more than $300 million dollars at the worldwide box office, and Australia and a few other countries don't even have it released there yet! Plans for a sequel have already been announced, with a release date of May 26, 2017. Clearly one big win, at least in my book. -After originally being thought to be long gone, LEGO announced their vague plans to return Ninjago in 2014 at the end of the 2012 year. "We will be back." read the first teaser poster we received. The sets have finally released, and the TV series is back with more new episodes later this year. Many happy fans, more money for LEGO. -Mixels, LEGO's first big collaboration with another company, makes its debut. While Cartoon Network produces the Mixels cartoon shorts, LEGO has made their first ever collectible building theme, with nine in each series, allowing you to mix and match your own little monsters. Mixels also introduced a brand new system of balljoints, compatible with Technic towball pieces and the like. More possibilities for MOCs and a whole new way to build means more fun! -Of course, all of the other themes I missed other than the major points will go here. Chima was popular enough to go into its second year, with new episodes of the cartoon later this month. Super Heroes enters it's third year, with more Batman and Spider-Man, as always. Friends is still going strong with little girls, which brought the debut of Disney Princess, the first licensed theme to utilize the minidoll. Star Wars is still going strong, celebrating fifteen years of sets, and rehashing the same old vehicles and scenes. Fan wishes came true when LEGO announced the Ghostbusters Ecto-1, based on the 80's film and the CUUSOO project. Hero Factory had innovation when it released minifig-sized heroes in battle machines. The biggest shock was the company's decision to produce sets based on the sitcom The Simpsons, with a house set out and a minifig series to be released in May, as well as a LEGO themed episode to air in the same month. As you can see, this year already has a ton to offer us, and will hopefully be remembered. Do you agree or disagree with my points? Let me know below.
  11. My LEGO goals for this year are to MOC better and more often, broaden my horizons to purchasing more themes, and organizing and rebuilding some of my old sets.
  12. Hello everyone! Please move this if it happens to be in the wrong forum. If so, I apologize for that. I've been looking into the availability of the newest CUUSOO set 21104 NASA Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover. I would really like to buy it and complete the current CUUSOO collection, but I cannot seem to find it. I've looked online and seen it as sold out, and at my local LEGO Store in Natick, MA, it is not where all of the other CUUSOO sets are located on the shelves. My question is, can you find this set anywhere? Please let me know, so I as well as others have the opportunity to hunt down and own this great set.
  13. I've come up with two different possibilities. #1: It is either Sensei Wu, Garmadon, the First Spinjitsu Master, or all of them. #2: It is the four ninja in the future.
  14. Just thought I'd check back into this topic. Nice job on fitting it into the the store display! The model looks really great.
  15. This thing is beautiful. I would purchase this as a set with the putting green! I especially like the use of parts to build the roof, and the cheese slopes at the front. Old style wheels, too! Brilliant work.
  16. It sounds like a very great idea! I can definitely help by coming up with ideas for story and characters, as I am the best at that.
  17. This topic (and quite a few others) has helped me find my way around the forums a lot since I have joined. I very much appreciate you doing this.
  18. Yup, it looks like it would be fine as long as it doesn't get too far over the line. This is a forum meant for adults, after all.
  19. Actually, my universe is pretty bland, and I barely ever combine my sets while playing. All are displayed separately: I've got Mixels on my bedside table, TMNT on one table, CUUSOO and Collectible Minifigures on one table, Super Heroes on the floor (yeah, I have no more room), Hero Factory and BIONICLE in a bin, Winter Village on its own shelf, Ninjago on its own shelf, Legends of Chima on its own shelf, and The LEGO Movie on my dresser. All themes coexist happily, but don't get in eachother's way. I guess you could say that I'm The Man Upstairs!
  20. *Vitruvius voice* That idea is just, the worst. In all seriousness, I have never heard about that. Trying it now, I realize that it does work! It doesn't last long enough to have a long-term effect, though, but still. It's an interesting find!
  21. This is quite a shame. I purchased Level 1 - Space Designer last year and was thrilled with it. I enjoyed the models and the little notes with building techniques in the instructions. It is unfortunate that they cannot go on, but I hope that LEGO develops a similar product, or brings back something along the lines of Brickmaster.
  22. So creative and recognizable! I particularly like the Mystery Machine and DeLoreon the best. It would be great if you built more!
  23. Scary, but awesome! Beautiful construction, I love those the eyes. I just wish there was an extra stud on her back. This makes me excited to get the figure in the summer!
  24. Does anyone know when the next episode is set to air?
  25. I think I am becoming obsessed with Disney's newest film, Frozen. I just can't let it go! Because of this, I can't wait until the day LEGO makes a set of Elsa's Ice Palace, if ever. I found a beautiful CUUSOO project with spectacular construction and trans-blue elements (shown above). Of course, if the set were to be made pieces would have to be colored differently, but I would still love it. There is definitely a demand for it, seeing the Oscars that Frozen received last night, and the fact that it just recently accumulated a billion dollars at the box office! I can't stop thinking about John Travolta butchering Idina Menzel's name...
