  1. Hello all, I have built a small creation based on the Aquazone series from 1995-1996. The landscape is 48x48 tall and it contains several sets from the series. I tried to create the landscape according to the pictures from the catalogs from that time. I used a lot of blue slopes and modified bricks to create the rocks. The landscape was also shown at a small event Megabricks in the Netherlands. A few pictures of the landscape. Here a picture from another angle. Next pictures gives a better look of the base and the surroundings. I also used a few lights in the caves. The next picture shows the light in one cave. More pictures are on my Flickr account. https://www.flickr.com/photos/137652851@N07/albums/72157662307102771/with/23692977991/ The pictures are also on my Brickshelf account. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=560837 Questions and comments are welcome. Sander
  2. Nice built. The vehicles are nice and the base looks good. I see what characteristics of a drilling rig. Or is that my imagination?
  3. Nice built again, Mathijs. Nice colors in the landscape. I love that vehicle. The crane looks good. The vehicle reminds me a bit of 6933 of the Blacktron II. Great work.
  4. Nice built. The temple looks really good and the vehicles are nice. Is the built a reference to the movie: The mummy? I love to see more pictures.
  5. This is a very interesting scene indeed. The flora and fauna are very nice. I really like the colors of the flora.
  6. The Hulkbuster looks massive. Supporting! Good luck with the project
  7. Nice! I also like the town in your layout. How big is the layout? The great Binx.
  8. I haven't seen Rebels (yet). But this looks great. The action is good and the details in the hangar are nice.
  9. Nice creation, vitreolum. It reminds me of your Halloween creation not that long ago.
  10. Nice Space Truck. It kinda reminds me of set 5972 but bigger than the set. Th aliens do gave me nostalgia, but not as much as Tee Vee.
  11. This is amazing! It is a really nice built. You always manage to surprise me with your creations. How did you get the idea to use these parts?
  12. It was my eleventh time at Legoworld as exhibitor and I really enjoyed the time there. I was there with my brother with our Pirate landscape (see front page and/or pirates forum). We received a lot of compliments and the people enjoyed our hide and seek game in our landscape. I have seen some really nice creations, mostly from the Lowlug group. The fan zone was great and the museum was a nice addition. The overall presentation was better than last year. I do agree with you STAT. There were too many bouncing castles and every theme had the same set up. My advice for TLG is just like last year: add more themes and show more showcases and bring in some nice sculptures. There were a few people who asked where the Minecraft section was. Minecraft was nothing more than one table with bricks. Perhaps TLG did not show that many themes, because a lot of themes will end this year (Scooby-Doo, Jurassic World, Legends of Chima). We will see next year what TLG has in store for us. Hopefully I can go next year with something else.
  13. The built is stunning. I really like the vehicle. It has a nice shape and the colorscheme is, just like the Ice Planet Theme, nice. One question. From which set are those big white wheels? I can remember them in black and blue. But white is a mystery to me.
  14. Wooh! That is huge. What is the size of the landscape? The colors are very nice and the landscape is stunning. I love the details from the movies. If I was a moderator, I would post this on the front page. Really nice work.
  15. That is huge! I love the built. Congrats on making it to the front page.
  16. That is a very nice Batcave. The details are great and the landscape is excellent.
  17. Very nice built. I really like the architecture. The action is very nice. The landscape (by the waterfall) looks a little blocky. Perhaps a few green plates (1x1 or 1x2) can smooth it a little bit. But still a very nice built.
  18. The two ship are both the 6280 versions. I looked into the instructions of 6299 today, but I didn't find any differences. I have the re-release of the Black Seas Barracuda and the cannons are different from the original. Perhaps it is the same with 6299, but I don't know that. I am glad you find our creation interesting. I also like to watch to landscape from different angles to discover new places and details. Thank you. The ships are very nice and a presentation in itself. The Pirate ship from 1996 is the only one I don't have and it is only one I don't want. The plan was to make the landscape 2 or 3 plates larger, but we did not have that many blue plates. I am happy to share it.
  19. The small set with the green doors is the only set of the armada. I have two of those sets. The fortress is built in the same color scheme to make it recognizable. I have been collecting sets for 18 years. The last 6/7 years I started to create landscapes and every year I want bigger or more detailed landscapes. You can learn a lot from classic-castle. I do not see myself as a master builder. For example Gary The Procrastinator uses a lot of techniques and creates very detailed dioramas Thanks! Funny thing is, during Legoworld a lot of people said the same thing.
  20. Thank you all. @ Larsy: We don't have the space either. I had to built the islands and sea on my knees in the living room. That was a lot of work and the knees were hurting back then. I don't know if I am exaggerating right now, but it is a honor being post at the frontpage. To celebrate that, I add some pictures of the island and the city of gold. Enjoy!
  21. Yes, it is. Another great speeder.
  22. Nice vehicle! It reminds me of a small speeder/vehicle you built for Rock Raiders and Futuron.
  23. It took some time, but I have an account on Flickr. Now a little experiment. Like Anakin said: It's working! I am sorry it took so long. I had to prepare the town and countryside for a local store. Pictures from the local store owner: https://www.facebook.com/legowinkelhoornenzwaag/ I got some more pictures. A few pictures of the town.
  24. Thank you all for your comments. @ Captain Dee: I was surprised myself how things turned out with the Armada section. I just used the colors of set nr. 6244 (light gray, white and green) and the fortress actually worked out pretty good. I wanted waves in the sea, because a few years ago was a group of people with a pirate layout that did not have waves. It was boring to look at and I wanted to prevent that. @: Brickon: There is a video made by Maico Arts. He is known by the Great Ball Contraption (GBC). Here is the link. The landscape is shown between 3:34-4:06. I got a few pictures downsized, but not all of them. I show them to you as soon as possible. Thanks again for the comments.
  25. Hello All, I have exhibited at Legoworld in the Netherlands this year with a landscape based on the first pirates series. The landscape is 7 meters long and 1.25 wide. I created this landscape with my brother and it took ,roughly said, 5 months to built. We wanted a bigger landscape, but we did not have that many blue baseplates. The landscape contains a small town with a wall around it. There is a small harbor and a bit of countryside. Behind the wall is a big sea with several Islands of the Imperial soldier. There is one big island with Islanders. The island contains a volcano, several waterfalls and cottages of the Islanders. Across the sea is a fortress of the Imperial Armada. In the end corners of the landscape are several pirate hideouts and a city of gold (Eldorado?). Here is the link to the pictures. http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=560054 Questions and comments/feedback are welcome. Sincerely, Sander
