  1. @MAB O, I didn't know that. I thought that the anniversary was the reason. Thanks. @fred67True, but TLG has only produced sets based on animated TV-series (Ideas not included). I'll doubt that they will for a LOTR live action TV-series. I would love a LOTR theme, I really do, but I think it will not happen. @BrickJaggerTrue, I see that my post was a bit blunt. Fantasy Era was a great theme and a success. But when it comes to the set up of a new theme, TLG demarcates (Is this the right word?) the theme. The themes cannot expand for long and discontinue after a few years. That is why the previous Castle, Pirates and Space themes do not last long.
  2. But theme was only to celebrate an anniversary of the TV-series. Normally there are no sets based on TV series.
  3. I agree with you there @Mr. President. I think that TLG did not have the vision to create a great fundament for the classic themes. Looking back at Kingdoms, TLG was experimenting on civil based sets and did not sell very well. The Fantasy Era also finished after a few years. TLG makes it to difficult for themselves, when it comes to defining a theme. The setup of a new Castle or Pirate theme will not as broad as the original themes of the 80's and 90's. On topic: I would love to see a new LOTR theme, but TLG does not produce sets based on TV-series (Ideas not included).
  4. Ok. That is huge, and detailed! Nice use of colors in the houses. I look forward to the next update.
  5. Great details in the walls and inside the Castle. Interesting use of colors in the landscape. Well done!
  6. Nice scene, Vitreolum. I like the use of parts in the table and in the floor.
  7. Thank you all for your comments. I am glad that the forest worked out this way. I noticed that I am always too carefull, when it comes to mixing colors. The rock work is smooth, I know. I wanted to make the rocks less rough, so people would focus on the dragon head, houses and castle. Yes, but there are no pictures yet. They will come. The backside of the rock work is a nice colorful creation of red, yellow, magenta and Medium Lavender bricks. It is not interesting.
  8. Hi everyone, I have build a landscape of 1 by 1 meter based on the Fright Knights. The landscape will be shown at Lego World in the Netherlands in October. In the landscape is a ruin on the right back corner, which is based on set 6087. The Castle is based on set 6097 (of course) and I wanted the rocks be similar to those in the catalogs from 1997. In the left part of the rocks is a dragon head that can move forward and back. If it moves forward the mouth will open. It is powered by PF. On the top are a few small houses, which are based on the houses in the Lego Game: Lego Racers. In the front is a forest which is the territory of the Dark Forest. The Royal Knights are attacking the Fright Knights. For more pictures, go to my Flickr album. Feedback and questions are welcome. Sander
  9. Nice little houses and market stands. I really like the stronghold/keep. The use of Brick Bricks is nicely done.
  10. A new and yet a classic feel. Great work.
  11. That is amazing. Great work on the houses.
  12. Another great build from you. I really like how you have build the house.
  13. Thank you @meepinater. I had a lot of promotional figs and wanted to give them a proper presentation. For other minifigs, I will build a landscape with action.
  14. Is that Duplo? That is awesome, a Duplo Ideas set. I think you need a lot of bricks for the roof (Dark blue or black).
  15. That is nice. Are there no open spaces at the sides to connect with additional side builds?
  16. Thank you @Robert8. It was quite the challenge to build some scenes for the figures.
  17. I have seen this build on Facebook and Brothers Brick. A stunning build, unbelievable. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Great concept. I love to see the final version.
  19. Hi everyone, It has been some time that I was present on Eurobricks, but I am back and have something to share. I have been busy building vignettes for promo figs and for every DC minifig is a vignette. The idea started with Star Wars and later Marvel. The first vignette is with Jor-El on Krypton and the second is with Batzarro. Lex Luthor is using the Deconstructor to get into Arkham Asylum. Nightwing is facing a foe in an alley in Gotham. Clark Kent is in a phone booth. Is that a Superman suit? Not that far away is Plastic Man walking on the street. In Central City is the Trickster busy with presents for the citizens. In the 60's was Mr Freeze at large and breaking in museums. For bigger pictures, see my Flickr album. Feedback and questions are welcome. Sander
  20. That looks really nice. The vegetation at the front of the wall is a nice addition. The wall have great details in the stonework. Thanks for sharing.
  21. Great build. It has all the elements of the scene. Great and subtle use of colors in the ground and the trees are really nice.
  22. That is a stunning looking landscape. Great shapes and nice use of colors.
  23. Thank you @steveholt. A better presentation for the minifigs (I think).
  24. True @anothergol, but a lot of people pay for a year ticket or a Merlin ticket (10% off Lego). After multiple visits with 100 grams, that gives nice stocks at multiple BL shops.
  25. The Triangle tiles are available in the Factory in LEGOLAND Germany. I do not know if there also sold in other LEGOLAND parks. That would explain the low price on Bricklink.
