  1. Nice moc with some great ideas. The mushroom caught my eye right away, great find to do that.
  2. I agree with Naf, give a neutral comment in which you mention the situation. At least the seller refunded, so basically you paid for what you've gotten from him/her. But for you it is inconvenient and it leaves you with extra costs.
  3. I do not share your vision/ idea. I am happy with Gandalfs cart, as it is the start of the movie and for that very recognisable. It stands excellent next to the Hobbit house. And it's good to have a Frodo in different clothing, also for MOC'ing purposes. Also: I'm cannot afford/ am not willing to pay 200 bucks for 1 Lego set, so to have a set like Wizards duel gives me the opportunity to get Saruman as well. Shelobs lair is great, I agree on you with that one. DGA is maybe a bit overpriced for what you get, but still not bad, when you connect it to the bigger Dol Guldur.
  4. Oh my, that's one of a spaceship! Gotta have it! Thanks for sharing the review.
  5. well, Amon Hen would definitely be a nice set, but I doubt it will come with new minifigs. Can't have enough orcs though. So I choose Mordor Battle Pack.
  6. Really nice! I love all the details. And a great idea to mix Fabuland with Hobbiton!
  7. so in two weeks we have decent images to talk about. hopefully.
  8. Thanks Lego Historian for sharing this. Can't remember seeing this when I was young. Funny to see in the English 1592 set the stand is selling fish and chips and in the Dutch version "soep en worst" (soup and smoked sausages) - the latter being the core business of Unox.
  9. I agree with you. I'm not a fan of capes and most of the time just put them away, but in this case it just works better with cape than without. I expect info not before the 30th of january, with a small chance we might see pictures.
  10. Well, that doesn't help to prevent cheese slopes from cracking. Bought Dol Guldur Battle just before xmas, build it a few days after the purchase and it hasn't been taken apat since than. Still I got two cheese slopes with cracks (1 tiny, but also quite a big crack). Just to inform you... I guess that's why you always get spare cheese slopes from Lego.
  11. Just looking at my two LTC buildings I was wandering could it be that there is only 1 new Lake Town building in wave three (townhall) and that one was shown together with the two buildings from the Lake Town Chase set? Might explain the confusion wether there are 3 or only 1 building.
  12. Tough choice. I guess Lothlorien will offer nicer architecture, but Prancing Pony fits better in mediaeval style town. I'd say Prancing Pony.
  13. Great start for a story. And really nice how you depicted the scene. I'm looking forward for more.
  14. awesome. Great scene. Well done!
  15. I'm also one who is hoping for some nice medieval civil sets; a farm, a watermill, a smithee would be awesome. I don't have bought castle sets since i came out of my dark ages, just LOTR and Hobbit. the castle sets just don't appeal to me that much and my budget is limited, though I'm still considering buying a few. Some civilian buildings in the castle theme would be a nice addition to my middle earthe sets.
  16. Though I'd like both as a set, I prefer a Rohan Battle Pack.
  17. I actualy don't know what I prefer. On the one hand, I don't buy multiple sets, so a unique character is no problem, sometimes even the only way to get him. On the other hand though, I have Eomer and only one Rohan soldier, in that case I'd prefer at least two grunts, instead of one unique figure and only one "unique" grunt.
  18. I own both Lake Town Chase and Dol Guldur Battle. Though DGB is a really nice set, better than I expected before I.built it, I think LTC is much better. Great minifigs and a very recognisable structure.
  19. If LOTR ends, I'd definitely buy much less lego. Maybe some castle if there are sets that appeal to me. Or I'll return to my childhood favourite: space. Or friends if it turns out my girls are more into that theme
  20. Funny story! And an excellent moc. Lots of nice details.
