Great scene and that crack is really amazing.

This: Ori1 by Tuinman1980, on Flickr Not the best pic, but it gives an idea.

I guess it also will be a license thing. If TLG doesn't own the license anymore it'll be hard to produce any LOTR set. So let's hope they hold the license for another few years.

I still think the original plan was two movies, so two waves of 7-8 sets each. Therefore I'm convinced there won't be any other sets.

Beautiful MOC. So very detailed. Great job!

That scorpion is really nice. I'm wondering what parts are used for the claws

MEC Category A- Battle at the black gate strategy game

Definitely a very original and interesting idea. I don't know the Lego-games, never played them, but this sounds like fun. -
Great set, I really like it! Would buy this if it were released.

Great scene, I like it. You did an excellent job. I made a Rosie Cotton myself, but with the hair of the calamity drone minifig (without the hat, though), because I thought that represents her curly hair somewhat better.
-
Thanks Brickmaster! His worn out face fits the scene the best, imho. Glad you like it! Thanks! With 3 minifigs and about 200-220 pieces it's more like 20 euros, I guess it's more like Shelobs Attack.
-
That's a great idea Blakstone, I'd like one too!
-
Thanks. I agree with you, but I wouldn't want to miss Shelob, which is one of the best creatures Lego has ever made.

Thanks Kenspace

Hi all, This is my entry for the Middle Earth Contest: Frodo and Sam reach the top of Mount Doom. When they look down, they see the burning cracks of Doom. Frodo hesitates to throw the One ring into the fire, and puts the ring around his finger. Gollem suddenly appears and jumps on his back. The invisible Frodo and Gollem struggle. Gollem manages to get the Ring by biting of Frodo's finger, but in joy of his regained precious, he falls with the Ring into the fire. DSC_2070 by Tuinman1980, on Flickr DSC_2053 by Tuinman1980, on Flickr Replay this defining scene with this set! Let Gollem jump onto the back of Frodo with this catapult! Let Gollem (or Frodo - you decide the fate of Middle Earth!) fall down the cracks of Mount Doom. Pull the pin and the floor of the cliff will collapse. DSC_2051 by Tuinman1980, on Flickr The cliff front side: DSC_2029 by Tuinman1980, on Flickr The cliff from the other side: DSC_2061 by Tuinman1980, on Flickr This set comes with 3 minifigures: Frodo with a scared face, Sam looking worried and Gollem. DSC_2055 by Tuinman1980, on Flickr The idea of depicting this scene has been on my mind for months. MEC was the reason to start building it. I tried to make a set in the lower price range. This one is about 200 - 250 pieces (didn't count, just a guess). It's my first MOC on EB by the way. I hope you like. C&C welcome.

Bricks cracking... just from being connected to one another?
Tuinman replied to Endgame's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Most of my cheese slopes have cracks. Always on the short side, most of them on exactly the same spot. I'm trying to stop getting annoyed by it. But worse is that other parts, especially slopes of all kinds, start to crack. Not even a year old. Is the quality declining? Can't remember my older Lego (80's) had this problem. Edit: typo's -
Great contest. I hope I can find the time this month to bring my Middle Earth idea that's been in my head for a while into Lego form.

I wasn't planning on buying the Lonely Mountain set, because of the high price, but after seeing the review... I really want that Smaug. It's massive.

Thanks for the review. Can't wait to get my hands on this set, excellente figures and a nice addition to the other Dol Guldur sets.

Thanks for the pics. Galadriel looks great, but her hair is the same mold as Elronds if I'm correct.

I bought the last set from the 2nd Hobbit wave I didn't own yet: Dol Guldur Ambush. It looks nice when attached to the great DGB set, it's a nice display. And I bought a cow. Couse I always wanted a cow for my MOCs.

4 billion. That's a LOT of Minifigures
